“He wants you… badly.”
Tohr’s words continued to echo in my head long after that night was over. His words drifted off to sleep with me, and they were the first thing that went through my head when I woke up.
I had mixed emotions when I found him gone when I woke up. A part of me wished I could have woken up in his arms. However, I was also glad that I was alone and able to think things through.
My mind was so chaotic that I hadn’t even paid attention as the ladies' maid chatting with each other and helped me get ready. I didn’t argue with them, didn’t do anything to help them or hinder them. I was too busy thinking about Tohr’s words and trying to let them settle in.
