01 8 True Hunters

When I went into town it was back to its lively self, but something still felt off. Before I could look around Ryan came up to me.

"Follow me, there's something you need to see."

I nodded and followed him, we ended up in the middle of town right in front of a monument. I saw some writing on it and noticed that it was a mass gravestone of sorts. It had names of people, I guess its all the townspeople. Then I saw that names were crossed off. I was about to ask about the crossed off names when someone in all black with a sword nearly as big as he was came up to the monument. He took out a knife and scratched out two more names, then immediately turned around and left town again.

"Ryan, who is that guy?"

"What guy? The one in all black?"

"Yeah, who is he?"

"Well, let's just say you don't want to piss him off. He's one of the true hunters, meaning that he fought the Catalysts before they spreaded the virus."

"I don't like him, are you sur-"

Ryan cut me off. "Anyone who questions the true hunters this far away from the city ends up dead, so I don't question him. Neither should you, you got that?" I realized that he was trying to protect me ever since I woke up here, and I need to know why.

But then it hit me, I was 16 before I got here.

I needed to know if my body had physically changed. I went back to Ryan's house and checked myself using the bath as a cover just to be safe. I was shocked to see how much I actually changed, but the bath was warm so I decided to not worry about it until tomorrow.

Sorry about not writing new chapters, my holidays have been pretty chaotic so far but I'm going to write 2 chapters a day from now on. You know in case I miss a day or two because I'm too busy with stuff. Also I'm taking this more seriously as opposed to just a hobby so make sure you reach out to me in the comments if you have an idea you think would be cool, no promises though!!
