Once the car has stopped and Emilia gets out, Dietrich immediately but silently checks her arm. He sighs with relief when he sees that it has already started to heal. He looks up at Emilia's amused expression and remembers her words. "You're acting just like the Snows did." He grimaces at the words and stomps away from her. Emilia refuses to let him remain angry as she blocks his path.

"Where do you think you're going? You can't escape me that easily, Diet. You promised to train me at every stop." She reminds him with a wide grin. Dietrich scowls at her. "I wouldn't want you to see me as being like the Snows so I guess I'll keep my word. However, you'll be sparring with someone else this time." He says as he waves over a blonde haired soldier. "Paul, you're in charge of teaching Emilia some of your signature moves. She's new to combat but she learns fast. Having said that, don't you dare think about going easy on her. Hit her with everything you've got." Dietrich says with a cruel smile playing on his lips.

Emilia and Paul exchange a concerned look but shrug it off as they get into fighting stances and begin circling one another. Emilia looks the male up and down, studying his physique to determine her best option of attack. "I said don't hold back!" Dietrich shouts at his soldier, urging him to hurry and make a move already. Paul gulps as he looks between his leader and his leader's mate. He knew better than to defy Dietrich's orders but he also knew that Emilia wouldn't be able to handle a full on sparring match with any of the soldiers who had been training for several years like himself.

At a loss for what to do, Paul lets his guard down as he struggles to come up with a solution. This gives Emilia the perfect chance to launch an attack on him. She swiftly kicks his legs out from under him and then jumps out of reach. Paul looks at her in confusion before finally understanding. Going all out wasn't what Dietrich wanted, it wasn't him punishing his mate. Emilia was the one who had requested for her partner not to go easy on her despite being new to combat.

Paul stands up and lunges himself forward, going in for an uppercut to Emilia's jaw. She dodges and kicks him in the abdomen. He laughs at the weak power behind her kick. This girl really doesn't know how to use her strength. Even with the advantage of his training, Paul knows that a royal is easily able to knock out a soldier of his caliber if they knew how to use their strength. He punches Emilia in the stomach three times, causing her to gag. He doesn't let up though as he kicks her backward, making her smack into a tree.

Dietrich guffaws at the sight. Emilia recovers quickly and launches herself into the air, landing behind Paul and using the momentum to kick him upside the head. "Come fight me yourself, asshat." She antagonizes her mate. He laughs and signals for Paul to get up and continue.

Paul does as demanded and rushes Emilia. She growls in frustration as she leaps out of the way and lands directly in front of Dietrich. "You're not getting off that easy." She hisses in his face and goes in for a punch. Dietrich easily dodges the attack as he moves out of the way and causes her fist to make contact with the tree he had been leaning against.

Emilia winces but goes in for another strike. Paul watches in amusement, finding it funny how badly the small female wanted to fight her mate. He looks over at the tree she had accidentally punched and feels his jaw drop. Emilia's fist had left a hole where it made contact with the trunk. "This is getting interesting." He says with a chuckle.

Emilia throws punch after punch toward Dietrich but misses every time. Her frustration grows as all he does is dodge her attacks without making any of his own. She's had enough of this little tantrum that her mate was throwing. She leaps up and shifts mid-air before landing on Dietrich's back and biting into his shoulder.

Satisfied with her success, she shifts back and antagonizes him further by winking mockingly at him. Dietrich falls for the bait as he rushes at her and punches her in the face. A loud CRACK is heard as his knuckles break her nose. He freezes up when he realizes what he's just done.

Emilia laughs like a maniac with blood trickling down her face. It hurt like hell but she was so happy to have Dietrich take this seriously that she didn't care about the pain. She throws a flurry of punches into his stomach and knocks him onto the ground. He shakes it off and gets back up, ready to go again. If she wanted to fight like this then so be it. Who was he to stop her from having fun?

However their little match got put on hold as an ear piercing scream pauses everyone's movements. All eyes land on a bloodied and matted silver wolf who had entered the area limping and half-alive. Dietrich rushes to the wolf's side and checks its wounds. Emilia stands back as she looks in the direction the wolf had entered from.

Something was wrong, very wrong. It was way too quiet with no signs of enemies nearby despite the injured wolf. She sniffs the air and her eyes widen with realization. "Diet! Back away now!" She shouts but it was too late. The silver wolf sinks its fangs into Dietrich's already wounded shoulder and tears a piece of flesh off of it.

Emilia rushes over and grabs the wolf's throat, crushing it in her hands and watching as its life drains. Ignoring the fact that she just murdered someone, Emilia turns to inspect Dietrich's wound. Just as she had suspected, the bite was covered in the same green ooze as the stuff on the muzzles of the grizzlies.

"Fuck, I knew it. This shit spreads like a virus when it comes in contact with blood or saliva." Emilia curses. Dietrich's eyes grow wide. "What makes you say that? And does that mean I'm going to turn into one of those rabid beasts?" He says with concern. Emilia shakes her head. "I won't let that happen. I don't actually know for sure but I had a theory pop into my head after seeing the last batch of grizzlies. Why were they so entranced when they smelled blood? And this wolf… I noticed something off about it when it entered the area." She explains.

"Well do you have any theories about how to stop it from infecting me right now?" He asks. Emilia sighs, "Well yeah. Kind of. But we will need to delay my reunion for a bit while I get the necessary equipment." She responds while carefully cleaning his shoulder.

Emilia works efficiently as she disinfects and bandages Dietrich's shoulder. "We will need a special flower though I don't know where else it grows except for Alpha Snow's territory. I also need fresh water and some river moss. Oh and we will need some kind of shelter out here. We won't be able to travel until we are sure that you're in the clear." She explains.

Dietrich grumbles but agrees. "Alright, well what is the flower that we need? I'll send Paul and Selene out to retrieve it. As for shelter, will tents suffice? I packed some just in case. There's a river not too far from here, we can build our shel-." Emilia cuts him off. "No, we need to keep our shelter near the car. If we get ambushed then we need to be near the car in order to make a quick escape." She points out. "And, if my theory is correct, then we need about twenty or thirty wolf's bane flowers and a bowl, a lighter, and some charcoal." She adds.

"Are you trying to save me or kill me?" Dietrich laughs. "If it reaches your heart then it will kill you. However, the ashes have a healing property that can potentially save you if you know how to use it properly." She says in a serious tone. Dietrich sighs, "Please tell me that you somehow know how to use it properly." Emilia nods in response.

"I learned from Larissa, the pack's healer. I didn't have much else I could do so I decided to learn about medicines in order to be of use somehow." Emilia explains. "Paul, Selene, go find her some wolf's bane and river moss. Leticia, grab some water bottles and the tents out of the trunk of my car." Dietrich commands.

His breathing quickens slightly, causing Emilia to worry. "We don't have much time. I don't know exactly how this stuff works but if it's anything like a normal virus then it will take effect faster on smaller creatures. And we are a lot smaller than those grizzlies." She explains. Dietrich nods in understanding and forces himself to stand up.
