There were two items left to be opened inside of the box. One was another scroll while the last was a piece of jade. Zhou Xinqiu carefully picked up the scroll and opened the latch. She unrolled the scroll and a wisp of information energy traveled into her mind.

I once read about the royal bloodlines of the demon race and one of them was named the lifeblood branch which specialized in the field of vitality or in other words regeneration. I believe they also have other abilities. However, I do not have too much knowledge about them." Qin Gong said

"come on you must know something," Zhou Xinqiu exclaimed while rolling her eyes.

"You should be glad I even know this much," Qin Gong continued, "Alright, that's enough, let's look at that piece of jade next."

Zhou Xinqiu put down the cultivation method and picked up the piece of jade which was emanating warmth from within.

"Okay listen up. This is a very important part of your journey and so you must listen carefully. What you are holding is a Qi technique. As of right now, although you possess an affinity towards some elements rather than others, your Qi is still rough and has no properties to it. Qi techniques allow a seed to sprout within your meridians through which your rough qi will be transformed into a purified qi that contains extraordinary properties. In fact, the process of Man tier divine techniques is the devolved version of this. For example: When using the nine sword dance art, your qi is condensed into your arms where a temporary small sword qi seed is created through which your qi gains sword like properties like being sharp." Qin Gong explained and Zhou Xinqiu quietly listened.

"So it is like a permanent version of a divine technique?" She asked curiously.

"Well not really, a divine technique is usually used to fight defend or heal and is like a one time ability while Qi techniques completely change the fundamental aura and properties of your qi. one example might be of an extreme ice type Qi technique which lets the cultivator possess the ability to have a chilling aura and be able to freeze things with a touch. Of course this might limit the ability of divine technique you can use since they have to somewhat complement each other. A cultivator possessing an ice type Qi technique can't use a fire type divine method, but they can use a sword technique or a beast technique etc." Qin Gong explained with a smile. After all, he once used to be a teacher and was used to these types of duties of teaching students.

"Okay I understand. can you change the type of Qi technique you use in the future?"

"Certainly, however it must match your affinity and the longer you keep a qi technique in your system, the harder it will be to remove it without side effects. Similarly, the longer you keep a qi technique in your system, the greater it will grow and the higher its power and efficiency will be raised. Anyway, I think its better for you to learn through experience. Prepare to refine your first Qi technique." Qin Gong smiled encouragingly before motioning her to accept the Qi technique.

Zhou Xinqiu inserted her qi into the piece of jade before a wave of heat exploded out from the piece of jade and it started to float in the air with an orange glow. Characters started to appear in the air in an amazing style.

"Qi technique: Infernal Heart Flame!

The Infernal Heart Flame is an extremely ancient technique that has transcended many centuries to appear where it is now.

The Infernal Heart Flame is not for those of the faint of heart. The powers listed above are only those that have been recorded by past cultivators and more unpredictable powers may emerge through experimentation."

"Little girl, it seems this Qi technique is rather advanced and favored by the malevolent side. Of course if you want to follow this path, it will almost guarantee you an insurmountable strength if you succeed. However, If you wish to follow an easier path, I have countless other Qi techniques you can choose from." Qin Gong warned in a kind tone.

Zhou Xinqiu grabbed onto the hot piece of jade while a heavy weight fell onto her shoulders. She still needed to find her mother. She didnt even know who she truly was. Even if she was a lively little girl she still understood that her identity as a demon would cause her life to much more difficult than normal. With all these factors racing in her head, she crushed the piece of jade inside of her palm. A flame essence poured our from her hand and flew straight into her. All of the essence gathered within her Qi pathways before a seed the size of a baby's fist was implanted into her qi source which was located in the upper stomach. The seed sprouted and stretched its roots all throughout her pathways and little seeds also sprouted in certain locations in those pathways. An extreme amount of heat burned her entire body and she was slowly wrapped into a cocoon as her body burned inside the cave.

An hour later A loud sound could be heard outside of the cave and a shockwave of heat spread out from the same location. Zhou Xinqiu opened her eyes as a glow of orange could be seen in them. She lifted her palm and a light orange flame appeared in her hand. She aimed and shot the flame out onto a mountain. The mountain shook and some of the smaller rocks could be seen being disintegrated through corrosion not soon after.

"Haha Good!" Although Qin Gong had offered her a free way out of this hardship, he had also had a tiny bit of hope that she would choose to continue with the Infernal Heart Flame. He wanted to see the birth of a genius. One who could rewrite history. "Zhou Xinqiu! I now pronounce you, formally, in the Qi Circulation realm!"
