Twenty-seven

The music flared at full volume. The world had started to revolve slowly in my vision. My body swayed to the rhythm. Percy was long gone from my sight. I knew I should look for her but I had not even a care in the world.

I was free.

Someone sneaked up behind me placing his hands on my waist. We rocked to the song. I turned around to wrap my arm around the person behind me. I didn't know who it was and I didn't bother. All I knew was that I wanted to dance and feel the heat of someone on mine.

My eyes and smile relaxed as I looked into their dilated pupils. Red. It sparkled dimly, I had never come across someone who also had red crimson eyes like mine.

It was alluring, drawing me into them almost captivating. Almost.

I looked away unbothered by it. I still preferred a certain someone's deep blue eyes to this.
