Cianne rolled over onto her side and blinked until she saw the time on her cell phone clearly. It was a quarter to four in the morning. Her eyes ached from all the crying and burned from the lack of sleep.
She woke several times during the night and she could only think about what she was going to say to Tristan when he got there. She buried her face in the pillow that was covered with one of Tristan's shirts.
What am I going to do? She thought as she rolled to her back and looked at her ceiling.
She heard paper crinkling underneath her, so she pulled it out. It was the pink instruction paper she received the night before from the emergency room doctor. Cianne read over it again before she tucked it under her mattress. She had never hidden anything from her father before today but this was different.
Her father never looked through her personal things but she felt better hiding it.
