Chapter 55
It had taken another twenty minutes for the nurse to appear and request urine and take blood. Twenty minutes more for the test results. Around two-thirty in the morning, a doctor tapped on the door. When the door creaked open, a drowsy Cianne managed to sit up in the hospital bed.
"Morning, I'm Dr. Nolan," he said.
Cianne looked at the young handsome doctor. Earlier, the doctor who greeted her had been a woman who was much older and very curt, but this doctor looked like one of those television show doctors. One who's really hot but was usually a badass with a heavy dose of sympathy.
Cianne squinted. "Morning."
"Well miss Ci-au-ny." He butchered her name. "We have your tests back." He looked at Tranae who had awakened the same time as Cianne. She was giving the hot Dr. the once over. "Would you like to speak in private?" he asked, looking back to Cianne.
"Uh, no," she said, "Tranae's fine."
