Chapter 15: Lunch Room Drama, Part 1
The cafeteria was curiously crowded and that was sufficient reason for Cianne to retreat. If not for her promise not to back out of her lunch date today like she had for the past week, she would turn right around and leave.
But, here she was, trying to avoid bumping into her peers who hovered and hung lazily around the lunch tables. Her goal: Get to the table where Tranae and her two friends sat without causing a catastrophe. Technically, they were Cianne's friends too. Well, maybe they weren't per se, but Cianne had known Vanessa and Brenda for a few years. Only she hadn't embraced the two of them like Tranae had.
Invisibility meant keeping to herself.
When she made it to the table without incident, Cianne sat down in the seat Tranae always saved for her. She smiled at Tranae then waved.
