"There's no need to get any closer, so stop now. What's holding you back? Of course, it's because you're a jerk. You are a complete and utter jerk."

"This isn't going to happen," says the author. With my finger pointing at him and myself, I stated this:

"Why not?" you could inquire.

"I've already stated why, and let's face it, you're still not over your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend. I'm not going to be the man you call when you're in a jam. You're still head over heels in love with her." As much as I despise admitting it, that did hurt a little.
