Is She In Love?

Meanwhile at ALC International Headquarter....

"President, you clearly know he is laying a trap for you by inviting you personally to their headquarter, and yet you are going there!", said Sarah as soon as she entered in her boss's office.

"I know Sarah. I'm not afraid of going there. That nasty playboy can do nothing to me. I'm just curious about something. That's all" said Julia with a playful smile.

"But....." Sarah trailed off, when she noticed that her boss was in a daze thinking about something. She had noticed that this has occurred many times recently and before this, her boss used to be always alert whenever she was not in the comfort of her home.

'Omg! Is she in love? Finally? Is it happening!' Sarah thought but kept her thoughts to herself without any change in expressions on her face.

Sarah kept quite and went out of the office to make preparations for their meeting with the CEO of SM Investments, as she still couldn't trust that playboy.

She immediately informed the Chairman, that is Julia's father about the meeting following which ten professional bodyguards dressed in black and white standard suits were arranged. She also received some orders from the chairman to keep her boss safe.

After completing her tasks, Sarah took a breather as her gaze went towards her boss's office and she couldn't imagine what was going through the young lady's brain!

A few hours later...

Through the streets of the City A, every single pedestrian turned their faces to look at the overwhelming envoy of black luxurious cars cruising towards the center of the city in a well planned manner.

Inside the main car of the envoy, Sarah was reporting the quarter end results for all the projects while Julia was listening with all her attention although her eyes were closed.

After Sarah finished with her reporting, Julia opened her eyes and glanced around her as her fierce yet beautiful eyes stopped at her assistant who was also her high school friend.

Sarah became jittery in her place as her boss was giving her the look as if she has cheated on her boss with her boss's husband.

"What's the matter, ma'am? Is something wrong?" questioned Sarah in a timid voice.

"Oh, you don't know what you did wrong?" Julia questioned back without breaking the eye contact with her assistant.

"You sold me out to my father and he went ahead and arranged an army of bodyguards to escort me to my appointment with SM Investments. Is this explanation enough or do I need to further explain things to you?" she continued.

Even if Julia didn't raise her voice, Sarah could notice that her boss was annoyed with her actions, but what could she possibly do when she was having a bad feeling about today!

"About that...." Sarah tried to explain to her boss that it was in her job scope to look out for the safety of her boss.

But she was cut off by Julia without allowing her to explain anything, "Leave it. I don't want any explanations. It's probably dad".

'Phew' huffed Sarah in relief, after confirming that her boss was not angry at her anymore.

Soon, their envoy reached SM Investments commercial building in the middle of the city.

All the bodygaurds got off their respective cars and started checking the perimeter for any hidden threats to their boss's daughter.

After confirming the safety level of the surroundings, the bodygaurds formed two lines in front of the door of main car as Sarah alighted first from the car and immediately opened the door for her boss.

Not long after Julia exited the car, all the eyes in the surrounding were glued to the lady that alighted from a luxurious car.

She was dressed in a professional manner which indicated that she was here for a possible business meeting.

Sarah strode a step behind her boss as the lady in limelight started walking towards the main entrance of the gigantic headquarters of the multi-billion dollar empire.

As soon as Julia reached the entrance, two of the bodygaurds started walking in front of her and other two started following right behind Sarah, while the rest of the guards started spreading out inside the premises of the company.

Looking at the spectacular show in front of them, the employees were stunned, as they had only experienced this either in the movies or when some extremely important person with the highest level of security has been scheduled to meet any executives in their company.

It was confusing for them to understand why such an extremely beautiful young lady needed such a high level of security.

Suddenly, some people recognized the lady as the young and successful CEO of ALC International.

She looked poised and elegant like a goddess, walking towards the reception with her personal assistant in tow.

Although everyone was curious about what such a beauty was doing here at their company, they were professional enough to not hold any conversations.

"President, we are few minutes earlier than the scheduled time. According to the receptionist, their CEO is in a meeting. So I guess we will have to wait" informed Sarah.

"Sure Sarah. Don't worry about it" after replying Julia settled in the lounge room provided for guests after the receptionist guided them there.

Julia, not being used to sit idle, started working on her laptop as soon as the lounge room was back to its usual tranquility.

After a few minutes they were informed that it was time for their appointment.

'Finally!' thought Julia inside her head and went towards the executive elevator following behind an employee.
