LEILANI’S POV
I had no plans of being here, especially with Timothy on my arm, but after being ambushed I didn’t have much of a choice. Timothy showed up outside my house and waited patiently with flowers and I didn’t have the heart to leave him out there like an idiot. That and the fact that my parents wouldn’t stop calling my phone until I left the house and met him outside.
“What do you think, Leilani?” Timothy’s monotone voice rang in my ears.
I tuned him out as he discussed something boring with his friends. I would normally have walked away, but my father and Alexa were supposed to show up and I needed my father to see that I was here and willing to do anything for a fair chance at taking over the business. If it took putting aside my pride and attending a public event with Timothy, then a couple of hours wouldn’t hurt me.
“I’m sorry, my mind is all jumbled tonight. Can you repeat that?” I asked.
