Future Thoughts

Time breezed by in a flash; several hours was like a blink of an eye for Balreth Academy. During these hours, the Potential Assembly had already come to a close.

After Asher's duel, there were a few other students who went up to duel. These students weren't that much discouraged by Asher and Hayato's immense prowess, wanting to show off their own Battle Potential so they could also receive various benefits.

However, no matter who went up, nothing could ever reach the excitement of Asher and Hayato's duels.

Even as the ones who fought all showed well-crafted and surprising Battle Potential, none of them were on par even with Hayato, much less Asher.

Still, while the students who watched the proceeding battles had their minds preoccupied, the Professors were all paying attention to their duels.

And there wasn't any favoritism, the ones who showed a surprisingly good Battle Potential had all received their own benefits for their talent level.

Soon enough, after those last remaining duels, the Potential Assembly had come to a close. And instead of going to regular classes, all students were allowed to leave the Academy early.

The students were told there were numerous things that needed to get situated by tomorrow, which would take nearly all of the Staff's time. This was all related to the Competition year students and their new assortments.

From tomorrow and onwards, these students will be receiving an email about their new schedule and classes based on what they showed today.

Because of the high volume of Competition year students, it had even spilled over on the General Job students class time.

Not like anyone was complaining. Nearly every student went home with a pep in the step, many of them still feeling pumped up from experiencing Hayato and Asher's prowess at first hand.

There were only a few students left at the Academy.

And one of those few included none other than Asher. He was currently roaming a part of the Academy he had never been to before.

The upper section of the Academy would've always been specifically blocked off to students like him. No common students were allowed to go up, reserving this area for only the Ranking Genius students.

However, with everything Asher showed in the Potential Assembly, he was now officially considered a Ranking Genius student as well. Now, he could not only come to this special reserve area but also had someone extraordinary guiding him.

Out of everyone to give him a guiding tour, from Professors, older staff members, or even a senior student. Asher would've never guessed that the beautiful Vice-Principal Mia would be the one to show him around!

Initially, Asher thought he could've just gone home with Reese and Kylee once everything was over. But, Teacher Lucas had pulled him and Hayato aside to deliver some shockingly great news.

Teacher Lucas had informed them they both would be getting their own Mana Rooms!

That alone was enough to send bewilderment down both Hayato and even Asher's spine.

They both were aware that most Ranking Genius students could have their own Mana Room in which they could spend secluded time cultivating.

These students all show high comprehension that really didn't need to be guided by Professors.

Furthermore, their own personal Mana Rooms would be far upgraded than the common Mana Rooms other students use.

Out of the two, Asher was the most elated by this. Since he's now on the same section with Elsa, and they both have their own secluded space for cultivating, they now have more opportunities to spend time with each other.

Asher had already confirmed with Teacher Lucas that it is allowed for Ranking Students to go over and visit each other's Mana Rooms. In fact, Asher was told they actually heavily encourage.

Balreth Academy was of the mindset that highly talented geniuses worked the best if they're all cooperating with each other.

More ideas can be spread between each other, which could lead to more insights being grasped by each other. At least, that's the general idea they have in mind for Ranking Students.

In reality, Asher was told that most Ranking Students don't really get along with each other.

Because of their complicated and well-off backgrounds, most of them tend to develop a massive amount of pride. This high assured pride leads Rankings Students in wanting to be superior to their peers rather than rely on each other for help.

This kind of mindset made Asher recall Chase, Leon, and Daisy. During his brief meeting with them, they all seemed relatively close to each other. Or at least well acquainted with each other.

Asher just had to suppose they were all the rare few who could cooperate reasonably with each other.

But, no matter the other Ranking Students' problems, this had confirmed in Asher's mind that if he and Elsa are sneaky enough, they could potentially see each other every day.

The thought of seeing his beautiful girlfriend every day naturally got Asher anticipating for what's to come in the future.

Alongside their Mana Rooms, Asher and Hayato were also informed they would still have a schedule. Only now, their schedules won't be overly bloated and will focus more on the certain profound aspects of System's Soul cultivation in general.

Although Asher still wanted to see Reese and Kylee, he was told he needed to wait for someone to come and show them their Mana Rooms.

And Asher knows better than to argue against a highly powerful Teacher, so he hoped that Reese and Kylee would wait for him after this is over.

Throughout the entire time they waited for someone to come and guide them around, Hayato had never once glanced at Asher.

Asher had sensed a jumbled mess of emotions coming from that guy's mind. Although, one evident emotion Asher did sense was a mass amount of hatred that wouldn't go away no matter what.

While Asher always prefers to be liked by people, he wouldn't go out of his way to try and change people's minds about him. Especially if he didn't do anything to warrant their hatred.

Asher didn't have to experience that slightly awkward and tense atmosphere for long as Hayato was soon taken away by some Professor he had never seen before.

And, of course, Asher had gotten Vice-Principal Mia.

As Asher walked through the more luxurious halls of the Ranking Section, he couldn't help but wonder if Vice-Principal Mia is taking a specific interest in him.

It wasn't like Asher had a peanut gallery of students to tell him how bizarre this situation was, seeing as Vice-Principal Mia managed to sneakily take him away without anyone noticing.

No matter how surprising this was though, Asher wasn't complaining. He could admit that having a beautiful and powerful woman show him was much more relaxing than some imposing middle-aged man.

While he was musing in his thoughts, Yuki must've sensed his train thoughts go on to Vice Principal Mia. Right then, she had suddenly interrupted his thinking to ask him,

'Sooo? Asher~? What's your true impression of this Mia girl?'

'You….'

Asher rapidly blinked his eyes, half expecting this kind of question but nearly couldn't hold his shock of Yuki going forward with asking. For his part, he still managed to now show any strange reaction that would've tipped off Vice-Principal Mia.

Asher had to hold back a sigh as he began telling Yuki, 'A beautiful, proud and strong woman. Why do you ask?'

'Hehe~.'

Instead of immediately answering, Yuki leaked out a mysterious-sounding giggle. Through her giggles always sound so sweet; this time, it was causing Asher a bit of exasperation.

Before he could press on his own questioning, Yuki told him, 'Just that, huh? Hmmm, okay~. But remember, Asher, don't ever hesitate to be intimate if you feel it's right!'

Asher nearly rolled his eyes, not wanting to think at all about what Yuki's implying. After all, Vice Principal Mia isn't another fellow student or even some high-ranking genius.

Her status is one that stands far above even Elsa!

In every aspect, power, status, or age, she stood far above Asher to the point where he could only look up to her.

Moreover, and most importantly, he already has a girlfriend. Asher wasn't well-versed in relationships, but he knew it would be crucial for his health not to make Elsa jealous.

Although, when actually thinking about a jealous Elsa, the rational part of his brain didn't even want to imagine what that would be like. But at the same time, a more irrational, deep part of his psyche kind of wanted to see Elsa remote with all types of expression.

Before Asher could delve too far into his musing, Vice-Principal Mia's sweet voice had suddenly called out to him.

"I must say, you are quite the calm boy. Even after so much fame and high action, you appear to be the least bit affected."

After quietly walking for a small-time now, Vice Principal Mia had finally decided it was an appropriate time to talk. Though she still kept her gaze forward.

Asher snapped his gaze back up and couldn't help but stare at Vice Principal Mia's graceful backside. He was trailing only just several feet behind her, so it was quite literally near impossible to not stare.

Because of what Yuki said before, several daring ideas did pop into his mind.

The long beautiful golden mane hair, elegantly swaying with each step Vice-Principal Mia took, was quite the enchanting sight.

Asher could at least admit this; he could see why Yuki has such an intent interest in her. Compared to many other women he had encountered, Vice Principal Mia has that certain captivating aura that many other beautiful women could only hope to achieve.

Suddenly then, Asher got a hold of himself and pushed any other distracting thoughts down. By his own will, he cleared away any other risque ideas and focused only on maintaining a good impression with Vice Principal Mia.

One thing he knew for sure is that getting on Vice Principal Mia's good graces would be another tremendous benefit for the Competition year.
