Her Awakening (2)

Madeline's eyelids fluttered open to reveal a pair of glossy dark orbs, she was met with the familiar magenta color of her room ceiling, staring confoundedly at it as her mind was thrown into a dire state of disarray and confusion.

Pertinently, her irises expanded gradually before she gasped in terror. Out of impulse, she pushed herself up into a sitting position when her heartbeat began to palpitate against her chest, the memories of what had occured in the house of the Marquees filling her brain and generating a headache that made her wince softly.

"Maddie." Cas's gentle voice made the young perplexed woman look in his direction to find him sitting on a chair beside the edge of the bed, and she released a shaky breath of air as her eyes raked over him, the tension in her heart ceasing recklessly.
