Chapter 7 Part 3

"You guys know me just make sure it has the Loreafan Royal Crest on it." Christopher answers, sliding a small parchment over to them with the crest drawn on it.

"Should be easy enough to stitch." Heather says.

Beerwolf returns with Geneva following sheepishly "You asked to see me Your Majesty?"

"Ah! Geneva, perfect." Christopher says. "Please, take a seat." He gestures to a sofa chair in between him and the twins. She sits with her knees pressed firmly together.

"1st, I want to apologise to you. A King should never abuse his power to dominate someone. And for that I am deeply sorry." Christopher says, bowing his head slightly.

"No, please. Raise your head. It was my fault so I should pay the price for it. I didn't know they were royalty. But that also doesn't excuse my behaviour. I am so sorry you two." Geneva says.

"There's no need. They didn't know either. My country was only recently founded. You just happened to be unfortunate enough to have experienced my wrath. However, even though you insulted a Princess and Prince without knowing. The laws of my country state this specific offence. In this instance you don't need to pay the fine." Christopher hands her a piece of paper defining the details. "But I will give you the option to do so if you wish."

"Mana? Is that all?" She asks. Christopher nods with a smile. "I'd like to redeem myself, and not just with this instance. But for all of them."

"It's impossible to take that much mana, especially if you've been targeting them for a long time." Christopher says. "Let me tell you how this works." He shows her Dime, The Dimensional Ring. "This is Dime. He is the one who will be taking your fine. Usually, crimes happen inside the dimension so the penalty is usually taken fairly easily. But when out in this existence, you need to be able to interact with them in order to talk, and therefore pay any penalties."

"So how exactly does this work?" Geneva asks.

(Dime) All you need to do is touch the gem on my ring. Then I can begin the process of transferring Mana. We can go ahead and proceed whenever you are ready.

After a few moments, she gently places her index finger on Dime and they glow red for a few seconds.

(Dime) Thank you for cooperating.

"Is that it? I didn't feel any Mana leaving my body." Geneva says.

Christopher chuckles lightly. "You're fine, we got what we needed. Now, any time you want to continue donating your mana, you can just approach Heather or Haider to pay it."

"Thank you. If that's all, I would like to get back to my studies." Geneva says.

"Just one last thing. I would like to explain what happened back in your classroom." Christopher says. Geneva gets a little nervous. "Due to a certain, unique set of circumstances, all of my negative traits and emotions get syphoned off into a separate entity. Or another me. That was him you were talking to. His name is Sephicroth."

"Sephicroth? Isn't that just an anagram from your name sire?" Geneva asks.

"Smart lady. Sephicroth acts separate from myself, like a person with multiple personalities. But it's still me in a sense. Would you like to see him?" Christopher offers.

"He won't hurt me, will he?"

"He might hold a grudge, as that's what I think I'll do, but you'll be fine." Christopher answers.

"Thank you for explaining, but I don't think I want to do that." Geneva says, nervously looking at the floor.

"Ok, not a problem." Christopher says. "It hurts that you don't want to see me, but I understand." Sephicroth says. Christopher giggles. "Hehe sorry about that."

"I see, his voice is slightly lower than yours. It's a little spooky." Geneva says.

"I like your honesty. You may take your leave now. Beerwolf will escort you there." Christopher says. Beerwolf bows and walks with Geneva out of the room.

"How was that?" Christopher asks.

"Much better Your Majesty." Heather mocks. Christopher grumbles at her with a pout.

"You'll always be our little brother, even if you founded a Kingdom." Haider says with a toothy smile.

Christopher exasperates heavily. "I get teased and made fun of all the time. When does it stop?"

"When you're dead of course, my love." Jasyn says.

"You only get a pass because punching that damned armour you got on hurts!" Christopher bites.

"You were the one who wanted 'The best armour for your hubby.'." Jasyn quotes.

"Yeah, and I'm starting to regret having it made." Christopher grumbles.

Heather chuckles and Haider smiles. "Looks like we finally know who's a power bottom." Haider states.

Christopher gasps, putting his best royal act on. "How uncouth! I'll be taking some of your Mana for that comment. How dare you."

"No, hold off until tomorrow, we have Magic Defence Training in a couple hours." Haider says.

"Either of you can wipe the floor with everyone here, why be so cautious?" Christopher asks.

"It's not the other students we have to worry about. It's the teachers the GM especially assigned to us. They don't hold back in the slightest." Heather says with a dour expression.

"They're that strong huh?" Christopher asks.

"One of them almost killed Willow last week, it took me so long to nurse them back to full strength." She answers with a pained look.

"Alright then. I don't want to keep you from your studies any longer, We'll be off to Mercter once Beerwolf returns." Christopher says.

"It's been great to see you again brother! Come visit more often, we sort of miss the chaos you bring with you." Haider says, giving Christopher a great big embrace. Heather settles for one with Jasyn.

(Narrator) She planted a Soulust on him.

Christopher looks back at Tariku, then at Heather before breaking away from the hug. "Be safe now."

"You two bro." Haider says. They discretely fistbump.

(Narrator) How long have they been doing that? It feels like a long time, how did I not notice that?

Once they leave the room, Christopher turns to Jasyn with a serious look. "Dime, scan my body."

(Dime) Scanning.

A red dot emanates from his shoulder. Christopher swiftly grabs the little Soulust before he could run. "So then, how long has Heather had you spy on me, and why has she set one of you on Jasyn, hmm?"

Andy cowers with fear, making a tiny high pitched chirping noise.

"Wait, she set up a spy on me?" Jasyn says, frantically scanning himself for a bug.

(Dime) I will kill them at once, Sir.

"No, don't. Leave them be, just isolate them both in a magic sound proof barrier. I'll continue keeping them close by."

(Dime) Done, Sir.

Dime hands him a small crystalline container with Andy, The Soulust Ant and Brody, The Soulust Beetle inside.

(Narrator) I overheard her naming them in the hall just now. *smile*

(Nebulon) You can't smile.

(Narrator) Not this again. Do you just exist to annoy me?!

(Nebulon) In this moment, yuh. Bye!

"Let's go show you to mama, shall we." Christopher says. Beerwolf enters the room. "Perfect timing, let's get going!" Sephicroth and Christopher say.

As they pass by the classroom the twins are in, Christopher pokes his head in and taunts Heather by showing her Soulust in the cage. "Thank you again Heather, you're a star." Both Christopher and Sephicroth say.

Heather gives him the side eye, a mixture of worry, embarrassment, and fear spread all over her face as she smiles at him.

"Revenge is satisfying, dontcha think?" Christopher says, a bump in the road causes the carriage to jostle a bit more than usual.

"Aren't you doing the same thing with Dime?" Jasyn asks.

"How dare you, I'm forbidden to look upon recorded documents on a person unless for a legitimate reason." Christopher says, offended.

(Dime) He is correct, Sir. I ultimately have the final say when it comes to access to personal documents Master Laird.

"Honestly, not even Maranus has such policies. Anyone with a position of power can look at someone's personal information collected in this country." Christopher says, inching away from Jasyn.

"I'm sorry, Snugglebug. I didn't realise." Jasyn says, a little hurt by his gesture.
