Chapter 12 Part 4

Jasyn opens his mouth to argue but before he could even get the first syllable out Jill cuts him off with the fury of a mother of two. "I don't want to hear anything from you unless it's a genuinely thought out apology to King Christopher. Anything else I swear to the Gods, I will punch you in the throat."

The 7ft 2in muscular man looks at the woman with complete disbelief, his shoulders slack, and under his helmet he seems to be extremely offended. "Are you seriously going to let her talk to me like that?" He asks Christopher.

In a blur Jill jumps onto the massive man, rips off the helmet and pulls on his silky blond hair, punching him in the throat as hard as she could. Jasyn doubles over as his oesophagus collapses, making him unable to breathe.

Christopher starts laughing, he covers his mouth with the back of his hand before walking towards Jasyn with a grin. "Damn, you got some balls doing that to a King Consort, Jill." He looks back at her with a devilish smirk. "If it were any other country, I suppose you'd be publicly executed."

Jill's entire body fills with pure dread. Her face turns a sicky green from her sudden nausea. She covers her mouth realising the gravity of what she did.

"Don't worry yourself too much, Jill. You were defending me as per your duties as a Battlemaid In Training. So your punishment will be even harder training, effective immediately after Beerwolf returns to us."

Christopher looks back at Jasyn clutching at his throat, crouching down to whisper in his ear. "You deserve every suffocating agony you're experiencing right now. You have no right to act high and mighty against me. You pursued me as a partner. But I never understood why."

Jasyn takes in a handful of harsh gasping breaths, coughing the fluid that built up in his lungs. He looks up at Christopher, tears brewing in his eyes. "I've loved you from the second I saw you in the Dragon Festival. When I saw you when you arrived at the capital, I took my chances." He shrugs, "The way you would reject my advances but deep down enjoyed it, only cemented that I wanted to make you happy. You're cute, smart, and kind. I just can't see Sephicroth as being a separate part of you. I'm sorry, my love." a single tear trickles down his cheek.

"You're just lying to yourself. You know for a fact who I am. You've seen all my irritation, anger, cynicism–ev-ree-thing. But you want to tell me you've only experienced the good of me?" Christopher sighs. "To think you were this blind, saddens me." He offers Jasyn his hand. "C'mon, get up my love."

Looking up at Christopher's dispirited expression in his eyes, Jasyn silently breaks down, only the tears and despair in his eyes conveying how he feels. Like his entire world started crumbling before him. No longer was his self inflicted illusion warping his reality.

(Nebulon) I hate everything about this. Why did you write it like that?

(Narrator) Comedy didn't feel right. Y'know?

"It wasn't me that saved you that day, in a technical sense I mean. I was dead beneath the eyes when I looked down at you, your heart being crushed over me. I lost all hope. Sephicroth, no longer had limits placed on them, and they decided to take control." Christopher wraps his arms around him, squeezing his waist tight. "I wish it were me, I really do. But they saved me that day too. All I wanted was revenge. I was willing to destroy it all. To erase the world that took you away from me. It was Seph, the amalgamation of all of it, pushing me into the background, telling me everything was ok. They got me my revenge and more. And I still felt empty. They took the emptiness away. Of all things, leaving behind nothing but certainty and hope that you were ok. So please, my love. Embrace all of me. The good, and the bad."

(Nebulon) I wish I knew how many different ways this new timeline could go. Being confined within a warping space-time could probably be why I've never experienced this before. Like it never existed, till it did.

(Narrator) What are you telling me right now?

(Nebulon) This feels like a deciding moment of a future completely new. One possibly vastly different than the ones I know they could take.

(Narrator) You're not making any sense. Now stop disrupting the flow of my narration! It's gonna feel all cattywampus now.

(Nebulon) Christopher and Jasyn are, or were completely destined to be together. In every possible timeline. Nothing threw a wrench in their bond. This, THIS feels like Christopher's last ditch attempt to keep the man he loves.

(Narrator) You're saying,

(Nebulon) Yeah.

Jasyn looks down at his beloved giving him a tight embrace, tears staining his face. He attempts to lift his arms, they tense and shake as if a great weight lay upon them. His breaths are shaky and unbalanced. He takes a swift and shallow breath, finding the strength within him. His arms instinctively wrap them around Christopher, refusing to let him go.

"I vow, here and now. I will give everything to loving you. I will love you unconditionally so. I now realise I was blinding myself. I swear to never again distinguish you from your faults. To never again doubt who you are. To never again create a rift between us. I am sorry. With all my heart and soul. I'm sorry." Jasyn's embrace tightens, as if Christopher could slip from his grasp at a moment's notice.

Christopher relishes in the moment for an instance, before releasing his embrace. Jasyn relaxes his arms, but keeping his hands bound to Christopher's hips, looking down at his love with longing. Waiting for an answer to his pledge.

Christopher stares into his piercing blue eyes. Examining every speckle and glint within their infinite. "I'm glad. Breaking this vow means complete dissolution of our engagement. Do you understand?"

"I devote everything to love it all. I will never disobey my pledge to you. This I swear." Jasyn bows his head with the affirmation in his soul.

Christopher cups his cheek, leaning in and kissing him on the lips for several moments. After a momentary shock Jasyn leans into it, holding onto the back of Christopher's head.

"Your Highness, I do not wish to interrupt this very sweet moment between you. But I don't have much mana left to blow away this paralysing fog." Jill interjects.

(Narrator) Has Jill been fighting for her life this whole time? How did I overlook that?!

A dark aura envelopes Christopher once more as he pulls away from the kiss. His voice once again doubled and pitched down. "Leave this to me. Both of us would want to have Christopher keep this moment for a little while longer."

"Hello Seph, sorry for everything." Jasyn says, lowering his head to him.

"Don't worry yourself. Afterall, I've just eaten some especially potent emotions. So I felt I should use it." Sephicroth lifts Christopher's body from Jasyn's lap dusting himself off. "Step aside please Jill. I would hate for you to get caught up in this spell." He commands, outstretching his arm, spreading his finders out evenly with express precision.

Jill leaps several steps back to put herself behind Jasyn, using a little bit of the healing magic Christopher taught her.

Sephicroth's incantation sends feelings of unease through any around to witness. Its blood-like red hue gives it a realm of its origins.

(Narrator) This is the first time we've seen a forbidden spell used in its true form. Only those meant for true depravity can perform the phrase for activation less they face the repercussions of using it.

Those guilty be taken by it's custody,

be greedily swallowed by it utterly.

Let those be consumed by the agony,

for it will eat most clumsily.

Only it can be destined to eat the heavens completely,

The overindulgence, only known, as Gluttony.

The blood red spell morphs and transforms into a gelatinous and slimy mixture that spreads like a fungus. It stretches and expands to impossible dimensions in only a few moments, encompassing a large area of the hoard in front of them. Inside the sticky membrane, liquid begins to fall. Some of it starts to land on the Undead, slowly devouring them with no remorse. Strangely not a single howl or wail is heard as even the air itself succumbs to its hunger.

The joy on Sephicroth's face could turn even a Fire Dragon's blood to ice. It's the joy of the hunt. The pleasure he takes in torturing anything he can.

The spheroid of red viscus gloop begins to bubble and constrict as it continues to fill with fluid. Its contents start to bleed even redder as the Undead caught in its digestive fluids have their skin melt off their flesh, squirming and thrashing in the abyssal substance.

Jasyn looks on at the colossal living goo with horror. Watching on as the skeletons dissolve entirely and the meat on the rest get munched on. He averts his eyes to the event, unable to watch on any longer.

The digestive fluids begin to boil as it devours the rest of the air. The heat inside its gastric juices becomes unbearable as they start cooking, while still being digested. The ever increasing heat turns the liquid into a harmful gaseous substance capable of melting even the soul as you die in pure torment. As the last of the Undead are reduced to mere molecules, and the fluid begins to completely boil off, evidently making the mass collapse as the pressure from within becomes too forceful to support itself.

A wave of pressure bursts outward from a tear faster than sound. With not even the charred trees left to devour, the gelatinous blob starts eating itself until nothing remains.
