Chapter 6: The Devil's Land

"What?" The man replied.

"The Devil's Tomb."

"What the heck is that?" Eris and the man said in sync.

"Luther, you know what it is?"

"Yes father but I do not know of its whereabouts."

"An omnipotent being like you doesn't know where it is? Must be in a good hiding place."

"Then how in hell would I know where it is?" The man yelled as he tried to defend himself.

"Is that so Lord Oberon?"

"Who?"

"You cannot deceive me. I gave you the power you have now."

The man then realised who I was.

"My lord, I apologise deeply and regret every negative action I have done to you. Please forgive me and overlook my actions. I'm sure you are merciful as they say so please spare me this one time. I ask for nothing more." The man said as he fell onto his knees and placed his head on the ground so hard that his forehead bleed.

"If it was the other guy, he would've tortured you so badly death would be a gift but I am much more merciful so I shall forgive you this one time."

"My liege, I thank you with all the atoms in my body and with all the mana I have been blessed with and with all that is in my possession."

"Now tell me where it is." I commanded Oberon.

"It is in the underground shrine of Creation and Destruction."

"Thank you, Oberon, your assistance will be rewarded."

Oberon then teleported away with no trace of him left behind.

"Why do they always leave like the NPCs in video games when they finish saying their story?" Eris complained.

"I don't know but what I do know is where the Devil's Tomb is now."

"What the hell is that even?" Eris asked.

"You'll see when we get there." I replied.

"We? I still have school."

"Don't worry about that for now."

Eris didn't even try to argue but she did mumble to herself.

I snapped my fingers and we were now in a place, a place like hell and heaven at the same time. You could feel joy and fear at the same time. You could feel peace but worry about things that did not exist. This was the Shrine of Creation and Destruction.

It was designed like this so only a handful of people could enter but even if they did, not one left without any injuries. Fortunately, my magic could protect Eris and Lambda who were the only ones I felt who needed protection against these defenses. Luther didn't seem to be affected by it in any way.

"Luther, can you feel it?"

"Yes father, a strong magical signature is a few lightyears from here."

"Where are we exactly?" Lambda asked.

"The Shrine of Creation and Destruction, the Shrine of the King of Dragons, Longwang. A beast that is beyond our ranking system so do not provoke him in any way."

A crystal then caught my eye. Even through the immense amount of fog of fire that could burn a person in less than an attosecond, I could see a small crystal glimmering.

I proceeded towards the crystal and the other followed.

"You can feel it can't you?"

"Yes father, it is strong, even for me."

"Do you know what it is?"

"No father."

"It's 10% of my power."

Everyone stopped walking but I didn't seem to notice until I heard no footsteps anymore.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"That small crystal which even the Guardian of the Forest says is too strong for him is only a mere 10% of your true power."

"That is what I said Eris."

"I already told you Eris that Lexus used to be stronger."

"So what rank was he before?" Eris asked.

Before answering, Lambda looked at me for some type of confirmation.

"Akyros rank."

"AKY-"

"We have a task at hand and it's not safe in the slightest so keep your emotions neutral or else the other beasts will sense us. They already have it's just we are only a fly to them so we don't seem to pose much of a threat."

"Even you and Luther?"

"Even us."

Even if we transcend the concept of dimensionality and the concept of our cosmology, we are still ants to dragons and even weaker compared to the King of Dragons.

We are considered fiction to them.

"Father, there seems to be a dragon in the area."

"I can sense it as well Luther. Protect the others." I said as I walked towards the crystal, which was only a few meters away from me now.

I picked up the crystal and it absorbed all my mana. I felt my mana being drained, leaving none left in my body. I felt weak and blood spurted out of my mouth.

I looked towards Lambda and saw her face. She was worried but still kept her faith in me.

"Release." I said.

The crystal then cracked. The sounds of glass breaking could be heard and the eerie shrieking of a dragon-filled the air.

I absorbed the crystal and I felt the mana surge through my veins.

"Only the Devil left now." I said as I snapped my fingers.

The sound of the snap of my fingers was followed by the sound of a large thud.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the end. Our whole sky was now filled with large dragons flying toward me. I then left time stop and reverse and replay at the same time. The feeling was like nothing I felt before. I felt time being distorted yet it also flowed normally.

The feeling wasn't possible yet I experienced it. Feeling the opposites at once was no normal feeling.

How could such things be possible?

My mind was full of questions that I couldn't answer. My lack of knowledge couldn't answer the infinite questions in my mind.

I then heard the low and deep growl behind me. I turned out of fear to see what it was and there it was. Longwang, the King of Dragons.

The dragon in front of me had black and white scales. The dragon had the Yin-Yang symbol in its pupil and the Yin-Yang symbol on its forehead. The dragon towered over my vulnerable, weak, small body.

"Lexus Novel Arnoux, what business do you have here in the land of the dragons?"

"You know why Longwang."

The dragon then switched into a 6' 4" man. He had a built body shape and light skin with white hair tied in a ponytail. He had the Yin-Yang symbol in his pupils but not on the forehead. He wore a white long coat that had the Yin-Yang symbol on the back with a katana sheathed in its saya on the dragon's left-indicating he was right-handed.

"If that is the case then I can only do one thing for you; keeping my dragons from attacking you."

"That would make this easier. Thank you Longwang."

Longwang then left and so did his dragons.

The landscape was empty and the fog was lifted.

"Let's continue."
