Aptitude test Pt-2

The students all lined up. Merlin looked around and realized there was only about 20 of them. They were all older than Merlin and looked to be 14 to 17 years old. so a lot of them wait till they are older and their magic power is higher.

They walked for minutes when they faced a big tent, it was blue with golden strips on it. The man walked in first and everybody followed him. When they got in they couldn't believe their eyes. The tents furniture was made out of gold, there was a table at the middle of the tent and behind the table sat an old woman with wrinkles all over her skin and white hair. The man looked at the students with a casual look and then he said,

"You probably already know the importance of a tablet and an affinity but I will repeat it so those who don"t know won"t bother me with questions. First the talent has five levels. grey, blue, purple silver and gold Where grey is the worst and gold is the best. As for the affinity, it is the element that you are the most compatible with you can still use another element but the element that has the highest affinity to you will make your spells from the same element stronger. There is four natural elements and four Advanced elements and two special elements.

Elemental affinity is the future path of a Magus, you know, some Magi can manipulate lightning, some Magi can manipulate fire, and some others can even manipulate frost! These are all paths of choice. Although a Magus is able to use any type of elemental spell, in theory, the ones with the highest affinity will not only let the casting speed be faster but also contain more power. If a Fire element Magus wanted to cast a water-based spell, not only would he consume more spiritual energy, but the might of the spell would also weaken greatly. There could be a water-based pool summoning that ends up as only a water ball

All in all, the elemental affinity will determine the path of a Magus, and the aptitude will determine how far a Magus can walk on that path!".

That is everything you need to know for now." Saying that the man stood up and said " Now I want you one after another to touch this orb to measure your talent". There were 2 orbs on the table one was bigger than the other. The students one after another started going to the table and touching the two orbs, but the other students couldn't see the orb doing anything. Some walked away with big smiles and some walked with a hollow expression like someone just told them that their family was killed.

Finally it was Merlin turn, he walked to the table and came face to face with the old magus man.

"There is a spell on these orbs so no one can see the light or element you have." Said the magus.

"So this is why I couldn't see the orb do anything" Thought Merlin to himself, then he did as the people he saw do he put his hand on the orb and waited for five seconds after that the orb began to glow like a small sun. then Merlin put his hand on the other orb it was bigger than the first one. When Merlin put his hands on the orb the orb started to darken until there was no light in the orb. Then the orb became white again but it had writing on it.

Darkness: 40%

Fire:30%

Lightning:11%

Earth: 10%

Water:8%

Light: 1%

"It seems that you have the darkness element" Said the Wizard.

"Can I know what my talent grade is and what does those numbers mean?" Asked Merlin with a polite manner.

" Yes, your talent is silver which is pretty good, and as for these numbers these are you affinity, the higher the percentage the stronger the element is for yourself."
