Terms of Contract

Inside the manor, both Euris and Vesper settled down to business.

Vesper's gold eyes fixed into Euris' red pupils. "I'd like to address that... one reason of the contract is you will be my personal doctor to aid Covenbreath Dukedom.

"Secondly is to also heal my important men and family from a battle, sickness, and accordingly in my command..." Vesper's voice hinted seriousness as they ringed into Euris' ears.

Euris didn't replied as he glanced over the contract in his hands with his pupils shakened, his grip tightened as he parted his lips, "Your grace, my spell could heal wounds visible from naked eye..."

"I am not a good when it comes to healing inside the... the body, that you can assume like the divine priest can..." Euris stuttered while Vesper's face went blank for a short pause.

Vesper eyebrows furrowed as he's gaze fell on the table, "Ah, is that so..." He muttered in his breath.

His eyes suddenly fell into a deep thought.

Until the moment, Vesper sighed as he shook his head. "According to the rumors say that the cousin on Divine Priest Magnus is also capable to do so... In any case, I'd like to hear what the lord has to say."

Euris raised his head and met Vesper's cold eyes stared straight into his soul. "Lord Euris is there something you are capable of?"

Euris fell silent, 'How long it has been I thought about it... Ever since from the past I never come to like my magic... Yet despite all that... I have to keep using them for my family's sake.'

He sighed as he face Vesper with a firm face. "I am more capable in combat, your grace."

Vesper hummed as he placed his hand in his chin, while his eyes stared at nowhere. "I see, in other words... Your a paladin..."

Euris nodded while Vesper couldn't help to plaster a wide smile, "That's good! It's quite better in fact... I'm more please to let you work for me."

Euris was taken a back, "Your... your grace???"

"Please don't hesitate at all. If you don't mind to work for me, do sign the contract." Vesper said as his hands gestured over the paper.

Euris sighed as he stared at the contract before he took the quail on the table. He gave a finally glance over the terns before finally signed his name.

Vesper smiled as Euris handed him the contract. "Great," Before he grabbed a seal and stamp the contract with the Covenbreath's Crest.

"From now on, you are part of the Covenbreath's Dukedom." Vesper said as he offered his hands.

Euris accepted it as he lowered his head. "It's a pleasure to work for your grace, I'll be in Duke's care."

Moments later, Hethron came as Euris left the office, while Vesper remained from the table, plastered a bright face.

'I can't believe that man. Even if I was disappointed in the slightest, I never know that he was a paladin... What a talented man. I was glad to bring him over my side.' Vesper chuckled.

He stood up his chair and stood out the window as he glanced over the garden shed to find the Cloudflaw family with his own. Yet his eyes couldn't help to linger over Seyric's way.

'I had heard from Aureus... His son was also an amazing individual... For such age. Damn, he must took after his father's fleet. Oh, how I wonder if the fate had been much nicer towards him...' Vesper thought as he sighed.

'Even though... I never lose doubt that he will also have full of surprises.' He thought with a wide smile on his face.

"Thank you for having us your grace," Ikaria said with a bow.

Persephone waved her hands. "No problem, Lady Ikaria, please have a good rest. You must be tired after the long travel."

Seyric bowed his head as Persephone gave him a warm smile.

Soon, they left from the garden as Seyric tagged beside his mother. With the help of Estiphana, she lead them from a separated mansion of the Covenbreath Dukedom.

It was a much smaller than the duke's manor but every furnish and design of the house was still grand, as the knight opened the tall wooden door.

They entered and they were greeted by wide empty hall filled by few maid servant, as their head bowed in synchronization. "Welcome to the Lady and Lord of Cloudflaw, from now on we will be under your care.

Ikaria was taken a back as she blushed from the sight from the hoard of maids.

"The maids were provided by the duke, my lady. His grace want's to ensure the safety and care of my lady and the lords. Please get use to it in your stay." said Estiphana.

While Ikaria huff a sigh as Estiphana giggled. "For the time being my lady, shall I show you to your quarters?"

Moments later, as Ikaria and Seyric arrived the merged bedroom quaters, it was an extravagant room. Furnished by queen size bed, couches, a wide personal table.

Ikaria's eyes shined bright as Seyric's lips were open as he admired the entire room for himself.

"I hope the room fits to your liking. I'll be taking my leave, my lady. Call me whenever you need help." Estiphana lowered her head while Ikaria turned to her way.

"Thank you, Miss Estiphana." Ikaria waved goodbye.

"The pleasure is all mine, I'm happy to serve the lady of Cloudflaw." Estiphana smiled at the both of them before she moved out of the rooom and shut the door behind her.

For the moment the both of them was finally alone, Ikaria surveyed the room in excitement with a smile across her face. "This room is so fantastic... I can't imagine how much it would've cause but... I thinks it's a little too big for you,"

"I don't mind it, mother!" Seyric replied as Ikaria glanced to his way. He sat by the couch at the end of bed.

Ikaria sighed as she paced towards his way then she placed her hands by the side of his face. "Is the manor is to your liking, sweetie? Do you not feel uncomfortable at all?"

Seyric shook his head and smiled, "Not all mother, the wolves looks cool! I hope I can keep one!"

Ikaria's eyes widened as her face grew stiff from tne thought of his son to have a wolf as a pet, she shook her head and said, "Uh... We should let your father know before else. For the time being it's better if you took a nap and I'll wake you up before dinner, okay?"

Seyric nod his head as his mother place him a kiss before Ikaria help him up in bed, she tucked him in before she left.
