WE ARE VENOM! PART 2

Peter gasps for air. He opens his eyes but he's met with nothing but darkness. He doesn't know if he's still alive, so he puts his hand infront of his face and meets nothing but wood. It's revealed that he's under six feet of dirt, on a rainy night, and Richard Parkers tombstone.

Peter then quickly reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone for light, seeing his father's skeleton laying next to him. Peter is horrified at the sight of his father, angry at Hush/Venom for putting him here and frustrated at himself for allowing his father's grave to be desecrated like this. He pushes against the wood but it won't budge, the pressure of the earth turning the thin piece of wood into pure concrete.

Peter then starts to punch the wood over and over again, unable to generate enough force to break through the wood. He then stops for a moment, not making any progress, then looks over and stares at his father's body, soon gritting his teeth and closing his eyes. Peter then let's out a scream of agony as his fist breaks through the wood of the coffin. Dirt begins to pour over him, suffocating him, and he starts to dig. His screams of agony are muffled by the dirt in his face.

He's exhausted, he's in pain, he's terrified, he's angry, but most importantly. He's Spider-Bat.

He gets his hand through, pulling himself out of the grave with sheer will power alone. The rain pours down on him, out of breath and furious.

Meanwhile in the cave, Ben and Jill walk in, looking for Peter.

"Well, looks like things went really well with Andrea." Jill says.

Ben smiles, then gets a call that soon upsets him.

"Ben, is everything alright?"

Ben sighs.

"Someone has- defiled Richard and Mary's Parkers grave."

"Oh my God." Jill gasps.

At that moment, they hear Peter coming down to the cave. When he makes it down, Peter slowly makes his way over to them, covered blood and dirt.

"Sir; I'm afraid I have some bad new-"

Before Ben can finish his sentence, He and Jill look over at him, stunned by the sight of him.

"Peter? Are you alright?" Jill asks.

"Master Peter, what happened?"

Peter doesn't answer the question and throws some of his gadgets on a desk to the floor, screaming out in anger and dropping to the floor. Ben and Jill then walk over to Peter's side.

"Peter. Tell us what happened?" Jill says.

Peter then tells them everything about Hush getting the symbiote after he got it off. How Andrea is missing and how he was buried with his father. Ben and Jill are stunned for a moment.

"What have I done? This is all my fault... I failed." Peter says.

Ben kneels down to Peter.

"Why do we fall, sir?" Ben asks.

Peter looks up at Ben.

"So we can learn to pick ourselves up." Ben says with a smile.

Peter smiles slightly, still exhausted.

"You've still haven't given up on me." Peter says.

Ben puts his hand on Peter's shoulder.

"Never."

Jill then puts her hand on his other shoulder.

"That counts for the both of us." Jill says.

After hearing this, Peter gets his second wind and stands to his feet.

"So how are you gonna find Hush, Or Venom, Or- whatever he's calling himself?" Jill asks.

Peter then walks over to his Spider-Bat suit.

"I'm not. He's going to find me." Peter replies.

Moments later, Spider-Bat swings through the city, landing on a bridge. He steps forward, out in the open, waiting for something to happen.

"Come on out. I know you're here. Old friend."

After a few seconds, Hush steps out of a fog, facing Peter.

"So- you put it all together." Hush says.

He then starts to unwrap the bandages around his face to reveal Eddie Elliott.

"What gave us away?"

Peter scowls at his former friend.

"Before you buried me, you called me Petey. You're the only who calls me that. I also remember that necklace from when you first came out infront of me as Hush. It was a gift from your mother. Not to mention the fact that you managed to stay one step ahead of this entire time. Just like back in high school."

Eddie smirks, clapping.

"Well Petey, we are impressed. But how did you know we would be here tonight?"

Peter glares at his former friend.

"Years ago, when I was starting out as Spider-Bat- there was a car accident on this bridge. A car swerved off the road and fell into the water below, with your parents inside. I was able to save your mother... but not your father."

Eddie chuckles.

"That's right. To think, we actually liked Spider-Bat... Until you ruined everything." Eddie says.

"I did all I could to save your parents after the crash. Your father didn't survive the impact, but your mother was still alive-"

"YOU DENIED US WHAT WAS RIGHTFULLY OURS!"

Peter then soon makes a realization about the accident.

"The car crash- wasn't an accident. It was you. You wanted to kill them." Peter says.

"We only want what we deserve. You- You had your riches handed to you on a plate, just like the gifts of the symbiote you threw away. Now we are going to destroy everything you stand for." Eddie says.

At that moment, Eddie transforms into Venom. Peter cracks his knuckles and takes a fighting stance.

"Take your best shot, Eddie."

Venom charges at Peter with a punch but Peter jumps out of the way of it. Eddie throws another punch that the hero back flips out of the way of, then shoots a web onto his chest, then swings him into a light post nearby. He then quickly maneuvers around him and puts him in a choke hold.

"Where's Andrea!?" Peter yells.

Venom chuckles.

"She's still alive. We didn't want you to miss us ripping out her heart and eating it. We're feeling very poetic today."

Venom then headbutts Peter in the face, then kicks across the ground. He then runs at full speed, slamming his shoulder against Peter's body, then tosses him onto a nearby roof. As Peter slowly gets back to his feet, he gets a call from Jill.

"Not really the best time, Jill." Peter says.

"I know where Andrea is."

Ben and Jill watches a news report and turns it up so Peter can hear.

"All of New York is holding its breath as a hostage crisis continues to unfold. Thirty minutes ago, police came across a startling sight. A young woman held hostage in a taxi, suspended eighty stories above the ground in what appears to be a giant black web. The hostage is believed to be Andrea Jane Watson, a young actress on Broadway." The news report says.

"She's at the wonder works construction site. You gotta hurry."
