WAR ON THE STREETS

In the Batcave, Peter and Jill go over footage of Black Spider taken from the secret camera in his lenses of his mask. He analysis all of his movements, realizing that whoever this is has the same Spider abilities has him. Not only that but he knows his secret identity.

"He's got some moves, huh?" Jill says.

Peter doesn't say anything for a moment.

"He's been trained. And trained well. He was even able to slice through my web before it even touched him. You don't just do that. That has to be practiced. Learned. And then there's the knife."

Jill is confused.

"What about it?"

"You know many knives that can cut my webs?" Peter asks.

"Not many." Jill says.

"No. Not many." Peter adds.

After a few minutes, Peter turns to Jill with a smile.

"It's getting late. You should go home, get some sleep."

"You sure? I can watch tape of high-speed vigilante chase all night." Jill says.

Peter chuckles.

"That's ok. I'll see you in the morning."

Jill smiles as Peter turns his attention back to the computer screen.

"Goodnight." Jill says, rolling out of the cave.

Meanwhile, Peter goes over the recording of Black Spider saying his actual name. He plays it over and over again, finding the voice to be somewhat familiar. After a few more listens, Peter finally recognizes the voice and is utterly shocked by it. He then turns and stares at the Scarlett Spider suit, thinking back to one of the last times he and Jason worked together.

In a drug house, a dealer aims his gun at Jason.

"Don't move, or I'll-"

Jason gets angered by this.

"You'll what? Shoot me?"

Jason quickly shoots out a web, knocking the gun out of his hand and kicking him through a closed door. Another thug opens fire on the young man, but Jason barelrolls over, leaps up and knees the man in the chin, sending him through a table. Another dealer tries to shoot Jason while he's up in the air, but he quickly throws a taser device onto him, taking him down easily. Spider-Bat soon comes in after handling more dealers downstairs.

"Twenty rounds a second and you were still too slow." Jason says.

At that moment, a fourth dealer aims a gun at Jason across the room.

"I'm not slow, punk." The thug says.

He shoots at him, but Jason is able to dodge the bullets.

"Me neither." Jason says, charging forward.

"I've got him." Peter says, throwing a Batarang that disarms the thug.

Jason then leaps into the air and drops an elbow onto his shoulder with full force. As the thug drops to the ground, screaming in agony, Peter is shocked by this while Jason is proud of himself.

Later, the two are in an argument about the situation.

"I had to take him down." Jason says.

"You shattered his collar bone." Peter replies, trying to keep calm.

"He's a drug dealing pimp. I didn't think I had to be gentle with him."

"We needed him. He would've talked. But you put him into shock."

Jason soon realizes that Peter has a point.

"Sorry. I was dumb. But he deserved it."

Peter takes a deep breath, then kneels down and puts his hands on Jason's shoulders.

"I understand you were angry, especially considering your past. But with this job, you're going to have to learn restraint. Knowing when to stop is what separates us from them." Peter says.

Jason doesn't answer for a moment.

"I get it, Pete. I understand." Jason says, walking off, leaving Peter alone in the cave.

Back to present day, Peter soon walks away from the suit, still thinking to himself.

Meanwhile, Black Mask throws furniture around his office, angry that Black Spider has ruined another shipment.

"Maybe my last request was too mired in subtlety. I want this man...DEAD! And I mean seriously dead! Beaten, broken. His head mounted on my wall kind of DEAD!"

"Understood, sir." His assistant says.

"I want this punk to learn that this is a contact sport. We're going on offense. Rough up his business. Something big. Something loud. When he shows up to shut us down, have a party waiting for him. And when I say "party" I actually mean people who are gonna kill him!"

"I figured, sir." His assistant says.

"Just being clear." Mask says, storming out of his office.

Later that night, Black Masks men go out and attacks everyone who's protected by The Black Spider. As the men are attacking a bar under his protection, Black Spider watches from a rooftop, unimpressed by all of this.

"Cute." He says.

Later on, a beaten and bloody Freddie is dragged to an empty construction site by two of Black Masks men. He then thrown into the side of a car.

"Do you know who you're messing with?!" Freddie yells.

"Yeah, Freddie Bramford." One of the men says.

"You're a big drug dealer in the East Quarter, right?" The second man says.

"I am the East Quarter drug trade, you stupid bags of-"

Before Freddie can finish his sentence, a gun is pointed at his head.

"I don't care who takes care of you. You watch your mouth." The man says.

"Then you know who's got my back. You know who I answer to." Freddie says.

The men smirk as one of them pull out a molotov cocktail from his jacket.

"Sure. The Black Spider."

"And we work for the man who's gonna take back what's his."

The man lights up the molotov and raises it above his head.

"We're sending your boss a message."

Before he can throw it at Freddie, a bullet shatters the bottle and engulfs the man in flames. Both Freddie and the other man are shocked. Black Spider then lands on the top of the car.

"Ok. What's the message?" He asks.

The Black Masks goon quickly runs away in fear.

"A simple one, actually." A voice says.

Black Spider looks over and sees the Enforcers, Montana, Ox, and Fancy Dan.

"Want to guess what it might be?" Montana says.

"I have a few ideas." Black Spider says.
