THE LIVING VAMPIRE BAT

While a man is walking the streets of New York alone while on the phone. He then looks over and sees a dark shadowy figure on the ground.

"Hold on, I gotta call you back... Hey buddy, are you alright?"

After not getting an answer, the man walks closer towards the mysterious figure. When he finally gets close enough to actually see, he shocked by the sight of a giant, pale white, vampire bat sucking the blood out of a woman. The creature looks at the horrified man and roars at him, launching at him as his screams are heard.

Meanwhile at Parker Industries, Martine is carried out by paramedics while Peter is watching the security footage with Commissioner Stacy, Detective Montoya and Bullock, seeing Doctor Langstrom turn into the creature.

"Jesus, tap dancing, Christ." Bullock says.

"We have to find Langstrom before he hurts anyone else." Commissioner Stacy says.

"But how are we going to stop him? I don't think our tranquilizers will do the trick."

"I can study the serum, try to make a cure for Dr. Langstrom." Peter suggests.

"Alright, the least we can do is move through the city, see if we can at least stop him from hurting any civilians."

As the cops leave, Peter takes a sample of the serum. When he is left alone in the room, he takes off his glasses, changes into his Spider-Bat suit and jumps out of the window. He then makes a call to Ben.

"Ben, anything unusual tonight in the city? And I mean freaky unusual."

Ben looks on the batcomputer and finds something.

"Multiple people found completely drained of blood."

Peter sighs.

"Langstrom couldn't have used fruit bats?" Peter sarcastically says.

"Beg your pardon, Master Peter?" Ben replies.

"Let's just say, I'm not the only Bat in town anymore."

As Peter continues to swing through the city, he starts to hear a strange noise near him. He looks over and sees Morbius flying across from him, heading straight for a couple on a balcony. Peter quickly changes directions, running across rooftops to stop Morbius. He then jumps up into the air, landing on the creatures back. He grabs Morbius by the head and guides him up into the air. Peter quickly takes a blood sample as Morbius flies towards a building.

The two then goes straight through the building, scaring the people inside. Morbius shakes off Peter when they come out of the other side. The hero quickly shoots out a web to stop himself from falling to the ground but Morbius cuts the web sending him crashing down in an alley. Peter slowly stands up, clutching his lower back as Morbius flies away.

"Are you alright, sir?" Ben asks.

"Yeah, just gonna have back pain for the rest of my life. But I have what I need." Peter replies, looking at the blood sample he got from Morbius.

A few minutes later, after going back to the lab at Parker Industries, he comes up with a cure for Morbius.

"Ben, I finished the cure. Where's Langstrom now?"

"According to that tracking device you stuck onto him, he's flying above downtown New York. Apparently the NYPD are there trying to stop Dr. Langstrom."

Peter puts on his mask and goes back out to help Morbius.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Stacy and the others open fire on Morbius, but the bullets don't do anything but make him angry. He then flies down and grabs Detective Montoya, flying up in the air.

"Renee!" Harvey yells.

At that moment, Peter swings in, kicking Morbius into a building wall and freeing Montoya, causing her to fall out of the sky. Before she hits the ground, Peter catches her as they both land safely on the ground.

"You ok?" Peter asks.

"Yeah, I'm honestly getting used to stuff like this." Renee replies.

Peter smirks as Renee walks over to the other cops.

"Stacy, pull your men back. I'll take it from here." Peter says.

"If you say so. Everyone back!" Stacy says.

As the cops pull out, Morbius flies towards Peter. The hero quickly shoots out a web onto his face and somersaults over Morbius, causing him to crash into a car. Peter webs Morbius against the car, and tries to inject him with the cure. The creature breaks out of the webs, grabs Peter by the throat, and flies up into the air.

Peter then lands a headbutt while they're in the air, breaking his grip on his throat. Peter tries to inject him with the cure again, but Morbius knocks it out of his hand. Peter punches the creature in the face and kicks him off, falling towards the cure. Morbius roars and flies downwards for Peter. The hero catches the cure, then shoots a web, swinging through the city as Morbius follows.

Peter then swings around and tackles Morbius in mid air, ejecting him with the cure. As the two start to fall out of the sky, Peter grabs him and swings them both onto a nearby roof.

Peter slowly stands to his feet as Morbius slowly starts to shift back to normal, with pale skin and new muscle mass.

"Welcome back, Dr. Morbius." He says, picking him up and swinging towards the NYPD precinct.

The next morning, Peter walks into the precinct to visit Morbius, who's locked in a high-tech cell that is built to hold meta-humans. When he sees the Doctor, he notices the blank expression on his face.

"Dr. Morbius." Peter says.

Morbius looks up and sees Peter.

"Peter. Hello."

"How are you feeling?" Peter asks.

Morbius sighs.

"Physically- better than I've felt in my entire life. Mentally- is another story. I killed... innocent people last night."

"It wasn't your fault, you weren't in control."

"I was too ambitious... I should have listened to you and waited for more tests. Instead I rushed in and turned myself into a... damn monster." Morbius says as tears run down his face.

At that moment, a bandaged up Martine walks in. Morbius gets up, and leans against the glass.

"Martine... I'm so, so sorry... I would never hurt you intentionally."

Martine puts her hand on the glass.

"I know, my love."

As the two share a smile, Commissioner Stacy walks into the room.

"Does he really have to be locked in there still?"

Stacy sighs.

"Unfortunately, despite the circumstances, he did murder people. We have to make sure he isn't a threat to people anymore."

"Ok. I'll run tests, make sure he doesn't turn again. Just- make sure he's not treated like some common criminal, and put him in Arkham."

"Of course."

The two shake hands and leave Morbius alone with his wife.

When Peter steps outside of the precinct, he runs into Jill Stacy.

"Pete, hey." She says.

"Hey Jill. You here to see Commissioner Stacy?"

"Actually, I'm here to see you. Uncle George texted me and said you'd be here so took the opportunity to continue our conversation last night."

Peter chuckles.

"Ok, ok. I'll- meet this girl." Peter says.

"Great, I figured you'd say that so I took the liberty of inviting her here so you two can meet." Jill says.

"Of course you did. So where is she?" Peter asks.

"She's right behind ya, tiger." A voice says behind him.

Peter turns around and sees a gorgeous woman with red hair and blue eyes.

"Andrea Jane Watson. Some people call me Aj." She says, offering her hand.

Peter is shocked by how beautiful she is.

"You're drooling there bud." Jill says with a smile.

Peter quickly shakes it off and shakes her hand.

"It's, uh- nice to meet you. I'm Peter Parker."

Andrea smiles.

"Oh I know. Face it, Tiger. You just hit the jackpot." She says.

Peter can't help but smile as the two stare into each others eyes.
