THE BAT MEETS THE SPIDER

At the docks, the group of men who took out Black Masks goons are disposing of the bodies and loading up Black Masks shipment in a truck.

"Alright, I think that's everything. Let's go." One of the men says.

At that moment, Spider-Bat swings in, kicking him to the ground. Another man aims his gun at Peter's back, but NightDevil quickly grabs him by the wrist, elbows him in the ribs and flips him to the ground. The three men left standing quickly jump into the truck and drive away, with Peter quickly web swinging after them.

The three men see Spider-Bat swinging after them in the rear view mirror.

"Go! Go! Go!" One of them yells.

"What about Malcolm and Benny?" The second guy asks.

"Screw them, we gotta out of here, now!" the third guy says.

When they look at the rear view mirror again, they don't see Spider-Bat anywhere.

"I think I lost him. You think I lost him?"

"I think you lost him. I think we're good."

At that moment, Spider-Bat lands on the hood of the truck, scarring the men inside.

"No, you're anything but good." Peter says.

One of the men pulls out a gun and shoots but Peter quickly jumps out of the way. As the glass blinds the men inside the truck, they run over spikes that were set up by Peter, popping their tires. He then punches through the passenger side window and pulls out one of the men, and lunches himself through the broken window, kicking the other two out of the truck and webbing them against a shipping container. Peter quickly jumps out of the truck and swings infront of it, stopping it with his bare hands, avoiding any collateral damage. Dick soon catches up.

"Woah, you work fast." Dick says

"I'm on a tight schedule." Peter replies.

Peter walks over to one of the men, grabs him by the shirt and lifts him up in the air.

"Who are you working for?" Peter demands to know.

"Nobody! Look, we just boosted the truck and-"

"I wouldn't lie to the man, he tends to break something when that happens." NightDevil says.

"No! I swear to God."

Soon Dick hears something coming from the truck.

"Somethings happening. In the truck, something just turned on." Dick says.

"Do you know what it is?" Peter asks.

"Not sure. All I hear is beeping." Dick replies.

At that moment, Peter's Spider-Sense goes off.

"Move! Now!"

Both Peter and Dick flip out of the way of an energy beam coming from the back of the truck.

"Guess it wasn't a microwave." Dick says.

A giant man looking robot bursts through the truck, with glowing red eyes.

"What is that?" One of the men, webbed up asks.

"Your cargo. It's called Amazo."

"Like the magician?" Dick asks.

"More like an highly advanced, cybernetic android equipped with the ability to absorb the power of super humans." Peter replies.

"I think I prefer the Magician." Dick says.

Amazo smashes the ground, causing it to shatter underneath Peter and Dicks feet. The two heroes flip out of the way as Peter charges at it. He throws a smoke bomb, blinding the android for a moment, then lands an uppercut that sends Amazo flying. Amazo regains his balance and throws a punch, but Peter jumps up in the air and kicks it in the face. Peter goes for another hit, but Amazo grabs him by the arm and tosses him up in the air and punches him in the chest, knocking him into a shipping container.

As Peter is down, Dick throws one of his escrima sticks, ricocheting it off of its head and back into his hand.

"Packs quite the punch for a toaster oven on steroids." Dick says

As Spider-Bat and Night-Devil charges at the giant, Amazo picks up a shipment container and throws it at them. Dick easily flips over it while Peter sticks to the side and runs across it while it's still in the air. Dick then jumps up and dropkicks Amazo, not doing much damage. He quickly dodges a punch from the android and lands a punch to its face. Peter then leaps into the air and knees Amazo across the face.

"All together now!" Dick says.

They then run together and land duel punches into Amazo's face. Amazo's start to glow brighter and Peter quickly grabs Night-Devil and web swings them both out of the way of its heat vision. Peter then throws multiple exploding Batarangs that Amazo swats out of the way.

"I think you'll have to do better than that."

Peter smirks.

"I did."

A batarang that was in Amazo's leg then explodes, As Peter and Dick run away to gain some distance.

"Will that do any good?" Dick asks

"It'll slow it down." Peter replies.

Amazo then bursts out of the fire with his leg and half of his face burned off.

"You think so?" Dick asks.

"We gotta get to higher ground!"

Peter shoots out a web and grabs Dicks hand, launching them both in the air. Amazo then jumps into the air and flies towards them.

"Of course he can fly." Dick says.

As Amazo gets closer, Peter throws Dick out of the way and gets grabbed by the android. Amazo starts to crush Peter's ribs.

"Spider-Bat!" Dick yells after landing safely.

Peter uses his strength to slowly pry Amazo's grip on him. He then sticks to Amazo's chest and pulls out two small blades and stabs them into his ears, causing it to short-circuit out. As they both fall out of the sky, Peter web swings to safety while Amazo crashes to the ground. After a few seconds, the android slowly gets back up and shoots out its heat vision. Peter and Dick flips out of the way, but the Android uses super speed to appear infront of Dick.

Before Amazo can fire his heat vision, Peter jumps on its back and sticks something onto his eyes.

"I don't think putty in his eyes is gonna hurt him." Dick says.

Peter then presses a button on his utility belt that causes the putty to blow up, destroying Amazo's head.

"But plastique will. Nice." Dick says.

Later, Peter and Dick stands infront of the men who were loading up the shipment.

"This shipment was meant for the Black Mask. I doubt you're behind this. Who do you work for?" Peter says.

"I swear. We're not working for anybody. This was our gig, all our idea."

Peter turns to Dick.

"Let it go." He tells him.

"Right."

Dick presses a button, dropping Amazo's headless body over the men. Dick then stops it from nearly crushing them, inches away from them.

"I'll talk! I'll talk! Just stop!" One of the men says.

Amazo's body is then pulled back up.

"The Black Spider. We're working for the Black Spider. We don't have any choice. He's got-"

At that moment, moment Dick hears something off in the distance.

"Sniper!" Dick yells.

Before they can do anything, all the men are shot and killed. Peter and Dick quickly move behind cover.

"The shots came from a rooftop half a block away. Whoever the shooter is, he's good. Real good." Dick says.

Peter uses his high-tech lenses to see Black Spider running away with the sniper rifle.

"You see him?" Dick asks.

Peter then creates a slingshot using his webs.

"Yeah." Peter answers.

He then launches himself at top speed, going after the shooter.

"Right. Leave me with them." Dick says, referring to the group of dead men.

As Peter goes flying through the air, soon seeing the shooter getting into a car and driving away. Peter uses his webs to stop himself, then web swings after the car. Black Spider speeds through traffic, swerving through oncoming traffic. As the car goes through a tunnel, Peter webs onto the top of the car, following him inside. Peter carefully avoids the cars coming towards him, stil holding his grip on the car. When the exit the tunnel, Peter sticks on the side of the wall, stopping the car.

Soon the roof of the car gets pulled off, Peter continues the chase. Soon, he drives into the clock tower, the one that's very familiar to Peter. Spider-Bat swings into the clock tower, seeing the car crashed and abandoned. As he walks around, he gets flashes of what happened to his first love, Gwen Stacy. He then looks up, seeing Black Spider sticking to a wall above him aiming a gun at him.

"Hard to forget that night, huh?" Black Spider says.

Peter doesn't say anything and just glares at the mystery man.

"Ah, memories." Black Spider says.

He then shoots the gas tank of the car, causing it to explode. Peter moves out of the way, getting a burn on his shoulder. When he looks up, he sees that Black Spider is gone, wondering who he was.
