HISTORY REPEATING

Back to Norman's child hood, after shooting his dog, the boy can't stop himself from crying. This angers his father, who wants his son to be a man, and he stands up to his feet.

"Stop all that damn crying! You're lucky I made the dog go, instead of you!"

Norman's mother slowly stands up and opens her arms to her son.

"Come here, sweetheart. It's ok."

At that moment Norman's father slaps her across the face, knocking her straight to the ground.

"That's why he's soft as hell now! You keep babying him!"

He then angrily walks over to a scared and still crying Norman and snatches him by the arm.

"No! Please!" Norman begs.

"Shut up!"

He then throws him into a dark room, with a Goblin mask, his father used to torment the boy, inside that terrifies the child. Norman continues to pound and claws at the door, tears pouring out of his eyes.

"DADDY! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!" He screams.

"You'll thank me for this one day." His father drunkenly says.

As he hears his parents arguing, Norman sits in the darkness and in total despair.

Back to the present, Andrea slowly starts to wake up, feeling a cool breeze on her face and through her hair. She slowly stands to her feet and stumbles back, realizing that she's on the top of Brooklyn Bridge. She looks around in panic, not knowing how she got there. Andrea then looks out in the distance, seeing something flying out in the distance. She quickly ducks as the Goblin flies at her on his glider while laughing.

The Goblin flies by a cable car full of kids and teachers, his laugh and sickening smile terrifying them.

"The Itsy Bitsy Spider, went up the water spout. Down came the Goblin, and took the spider out. HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

He then shoots a missile into a small building nearby, causing a few vehicles to crash on the bridge.

Peter soon shows up and sees the big explosion from a distance.

"Goblin, what have you done?"

The cable is then cut and the car starts fall down. Goblin quickly catches the cable and flies them up into the air.

Peter then slingshots himself towards the bridge, web swinging around and landing on top of it, staring down Goblin who dangles Andrea over the edge by the throat while holding up the bus of kids in his other hand.

"This brings back memories, doesn't it! This is why only fools are heroes! Because you never know when some lunatic will come along with a sadistic choice!"

Peter starts to secretly panic, being reminded of what happened to Gwen Stacy, distracted by both the screams of the kids and the screams of Andrea.

"You either let die, this lovely woman... Or- suffer the little children."

"Spider-Bat, save us!" All the kids yell.

"Make your choice Batsy. And see- how a hero is rewarded."

Peter grits his teeth.

"Don't do this, Goblin!" Peter yells.

"You'll have to choose in five- four- Ah screw it, let's skip to the good part."

The Goblin drops both Andrea and the cable car full of kids. Peter watches as both the innocent kids and the woman he loves.

"Not this time...Not this time!" Peter thinks to himself.

Peter runs across the top of the bridge and dives off. He quickly catches Andrea and shoots out web, swinging towards the cable car. Peter grabs the cable and shoots another web onto the bottom of the bridge, holding up the cart of kids up while Andrea holds on to him for dear life. Peter looks up and sees that the web won't hold the weight for long. Goblin looks down and sees that Peter caught both the kids and Andrea, laughing about it.

At that moment, fishermen shine a lot on them.

"Ahoy up there! We're gonna bring the barge right under you!" One of the fishermen says over a megaphone.

The Goblin starts to fly around while laughing.

"He's coming back!" Andrea yells.

Peter then looks at her.

"Listen. I need you to climb down." Peter says.

"I can't." She says with tears in her eyes.

"Yes you can." Peter replies.

The web starts to give away even more as they drop a bit.

"Andrea, you can do it. You have to. Trust me." Peter says.

Peter pauses for a moment, then slowly starts to slide down towards the cable car.

"Hold on tight and go quickly."

Peter then sees the Goblin flying straight at them.

"Hurry!" Peter yells.

As she's half way down the cable, she stops.

"I can't. I can't do it." Andrea says.

The Goblin gets closer as Peter's Spider-Senses goes off.

"Hang on, Andrea!" Peter yells.

The Goblin then punches Peter in the face, causing the cable to shake, slinging around Andrea. The Goblin flies back around and punches Peter in the face again, causing him to let go of the cable. As the cable car and Andrea start to fall, Peter hears Andrea's screams, reminded again by Gwen Stacy's death. He quickly flips in the air and grabs the cable but Andrea starts to fall. Before she hit the water, she grabs onto the side of the cable car.

Meanwhile the fishermen are still making their way under them.

"He's not gonna make it!" One of the fishermen says.

"He's gonna make it!" The other fishermen replies.

As Peter tries to carefully slide the Car onto the barge, blades pop out of The Goblins glider as he flies towards Peter.

"Time to die! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

He flies at Peter, but gets hit in the head with a pipe, knocking him off course and giving Peter enough time to avoid the blade.

"Come on up here, tough guy, I got something for you!" A voice yells from the bridge.

Multiple New Yorkers rain down multiple objects and a few insults on The Goblin.

"We ought to kick your ass!" Another New Yorker yells.

"Leave Spider-Bat alone! You're gonna pick on a guy trying to save a bunch of kids?"

"You mess with Spidey, you mess with New York!"

"You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!"

Peter smiles at the people, then safely lowers the kids and Andrea on the Barge as they and the New Yorkers on the bridge cheers.

At that moment, Peter's Spider-Senses goes off and The Goblin flies into him, carrying him off while everyone watches helplessly as their hero is taken somewhere else.
