I shook my head slowly, my hands beginning to tremble at my sides as my wolf began to thrash about inside of me. This cannot be happening. "No, she didn't."

"Hmm, well that's strange. I figured she told you since she said that you weren't able to make it to see her leave."

I took in a steady breath, the scent of my mate coming off from her father not helping my wolf's state whatsoever. I cringed at the smell and turned my head, trying my best to calm myself down and not frighten the man standing in front of me. "Where did you say you left her again?" I asked through gritted teeth, which earned me a confused stare from him.

"Colorado Springs Airport. Are you alright, son?"

I nodded, ignoring his question. "And at what time is she supposed to leave?"

He pulled out his left hand from his pocket and stared down at the watch on his wrist. "At three thirty. So she should be leaving in about twenty minutes."
