Chapter 11

Fiona's Pov

I walked to the couch that was placed in the room.

"I think you need to sit down for this" I told him, he still looked confused as he sat down.

"I'm sorry Sebastian but I have been keeping things from you. When you asked why I left my pack and I told you that I was traveling, it was a lie. I was banished from this pack" I spilled, his eyes widened.

"That's not all. Ryan and I knew each other and I was supposed to be his mate, but he rejected me and got married to Sabrina, who I think was responsible for framing me for murder"

Sebastian stared at me, shocked and surprised at what he was hearing.

"I'm sorry, I lied and kept it from you. I just don't know what your reaction would be when you find out the truth. Will you throw me out of your pack, thinking I'm a killer?" I continued, tears rolling down my eyes as I tried to convince him.

Sebastian ran his hands through his hair, still in disbelief about what he heard.

Sebastian Pov

Hearing Fiona spill the things she hid from me, hit me hard. I looked at trying to find a single hope that she was probably joking but when I looked at her, all I could see in her eyes was honesty.

"I have so many questions" I told her, she looked at me, her eyes filled with tears. My heart hurts seeing her in pain but I need information.

"Okay, firstly...Is Ryan your fated mate or choosen mate? And how did you both know each other?"

"Ryan has been unmated all his life, whispers going around that he was cursed by the moon goddess not to ever have a fated mate. I worked as a servant in his personal house and one thing led to another and we slept together, with him promising to make me his chosen mate" she narrates as tears flow down her eyes. I brought out my handkerchief and passed it to her.

"Thanks" she cleaned her eyes and blew out her nose.

"So why did you not get married? Why were you banished?" I asked, the story shocking and intriguing.

"We were engaged, my lowly life changing fast. Everything was going on fine till the day of the wedding….I walked down the aisle, everything beautiful, the pack gathered but before we could start the ceremony, he turned towards me, in-front of everyone and told me that he couldn't marry a weak and useless wolf" she burst into another fit of tears, my fist clenched as I imagined the embarrassment she would have face.

I sat near her, pulled her closer to hug her. "You don't need to tell me if it is to hard for you to recall"

She shook her head in disapproval, "no, I'm fine. I have to tell you all this today, the guilt has been eating me up and I know old wounds would open up, since you brought me here"

"If you say so, I'm all ears"

"He married Sabrina, my friend. I guess he found out my secret through her….." She paused, looking deep into my eyes.

"What secret?" I asked

"That....I'm….."Fiona broke down more, tears streaming down her eyes in a fast pace, "I'm ...wolf less" she finally says.

I froze, seconds turned to minutes and the words Fiona said kept resounding in my eyes.

"I'm wolf less!"

"I'm wolf less"

It kept resounding, I could feel my heart break into millions.

"Seb…. I'm sorry" she held my hands, tears pouring down her eyes

"But...but…..you said your wolf was in hibernation?"

"I'm sorry!" She kept saying like a broken record

"Why did you lie?" I asked in a low tone, the lies piled up, I could look past a lot but this was a huge amount of information. I stood up and ran my hands through my hair.

"Why did you lie!" I yelled, she flinched in her seat, scared.

"I love you!" She whispered "and I was scared, scared of history repeating itself and you rejecting me, like the way Ryan did"

"I'm not Ryan, Fiona!" She looked shocked as I barely called her by her name.

"I know and I'm sorry…..I'm sorry" she repeated

I sighed in frustration, "why did Ryan call you a killer?" I asked, hoping I had not been harboring a killer.

"I was framed. Days after the wedding, someone was killed but the evidence was planted on me and I was banished when the evidence was found"

She explained, I looked at, trying to believe her. This was too much for me to bare all in one day.

"So…. Why now, why did you decide to tell me now" I asked

"You deserve to know the truth from me and not anyone else and I don't feel safe" I turned to her, about her statement

"Why would you say that"

"The night of the muder, I saw someone coming out from the crime scene and it was….." she looked around suspiciously, she then lowered her voice, "the person I saw was...Sabrina's assistant"

My eyes widened "shit"

I picked up my phone and immediately walked out of the room.

"Sebastian!

I ignored her, if what she was saying is even half the truth, I needed to investigate.

"Leo!" I called and he appeared out of the shadows

"Your highness!"

"I need you to investigate everything that happened from the moment of Fiona and Ryan's engagement, down to her banishment. I need a report before the break of dawn tomorrow"

"Yes your highness!"

"Also assign more shadow guards around Fiona and never let her out of your sight. Something is bound to happen soon, be on high alert" I commanded

"Yes your highness"

"You're dismissed" He bowed and left.

I walked down the staircase, with no direction of where I was heading. I couldn't go back into the room, I needed to clear my head and calm myself down to get out of control.

I walked around the pack house and came out to the garden that was connected to the forest. I transformed immediately, and went for a run. My mind is still hazy from the information.
