Mirage’s P.O.V
“You’re thinking of being the bait?” Alpha Charles frowned at me as we all sat in his office, discussing the best plan of action.
“It’s the best option we have.” I told him now. “If I can turn myself in, in return for the antidote of whatever he did to Julian-”
“I think you have to consider the fact that whatever the vampire and the witch did to Julian might not even have a cure.” Coming from Freya herself, I was a bit startled at the roughness of her voice. “Not all magic has a cure. Sometimes the disease or the curse can be directly linked to the witch’s life. So don’t throw away your life until we have some kind of confirmation.”
“Freya is right.” Alpha Charles nodded. “We have to wait for a confirmation. If it was Alistair who had put that spell on Julian via a witch, then it won’t be long before he contacts us. And if he wants you that desperately, then we have to let him come to us with his demands first. Or this entire plan could be one huge mistake.”
