"I have to go!" Adrian said , Ashanti didn't answer and got confused about what happened when she saw the woman on his shoulder as he turn around to go upstairs.

The woman make an eye contact with Ashanti as woman smirk and raise her middle finger.

Kathleen on the other hand was fuming mad because of what happened, she's also quite confused, and keep asking herself why did she act that way? she can feel her blood boiling as she saw the face of the woman and how she act around the guy.

The f with that lady, who the hell is she? ... Wait why am I even mad. Tsk tsk I don't care about that bitch I'm much more prettier than her. Out of nowhere I bite Mr. Hunks back.

"Arghh... stop that, I might drop you!" he said.

"I don't effin care!" I bursted out and bite him again. He hissed as if doesn't have any choice as he carefully lifted me off to his shoulder and let my feet touches the floor then immediately intertwined our hands.

"I won't give you a chance to escape my love." he said and grin.

I raised my eyebrow , frankly speaking I'm not even planning to escape, yet. I don’t know but I'm quite comfortable with his touch. This is the first time that I've felt this way towards someone and I wanna freak out. Honestly, cause I'm used to be heartless emotionless and .... and yeah sometimes brutal.

"I dont have any plan to escape." I said enough for him to hear, as i laid my sight to the other direction. He just looked at me as if I’m the most suspicious person in the world.

"Okay." We continued to walk, I noticed there are plenty of doors in here, if i say plenty I mean plenty, as far as i count as we walk in the aisle there are more or less fifty doors.

I was cut with my thoughts when we stop in a very well carved double door. He pushed the door open. The room is huge that's all I can say, I'm not surprise cause I also live in luxury and i know this guy is somewhat the head of this freaking house.

"You'll be staying here in my room." he said as he released my hand and close the door.

"Why am I staying in your room? I’m a prisoner so, I’m supposed to be in a dungeon!?" I said sarcastically, okay call me nuts but I am right a prisoner doesn't have the right to sleep in a luxurious room like this.

"Your case is different, I can't let you sleep in a dungeon." he directly looked at me at my eyes. I got puzzled, I don't understand why am i different? I am about to say something when his eyes turn gold as he focuses his sight in a none particular direction.

Alex mind linked me that there is something off happening in the barrier. What could something happen in the barrier? I was taken a back when ive saw how her face grow confused as she take a step backward.

I’m about to say something when Alex mind linked me again.

'Alpha we've seen several men roaming outside the barrier' why do people roam around our barrier?

I face my mate. There is a big possibility that those people are searching for her. If that's the case I won't let them see her, I’ll do whatever I can to prevent that from happening. I ordered my pack warriors to guard the barrier, for them to stop those men if ever they'll enter our perimeter. While I stayed at the pack house. I don't have to worry for them because those people wont see them unless they're inside the barrier.

The barrier is like a shield that covers us from the mortals. Later on one of the pack warrior mind linked me saying the men in black have walked away to the barrier. I felt relieved because of that, as i walked upstairs Ashanti blocked my way.

"C-can we t-talk?" she said. Her eyes are swollen, is she crying.

"About what?" I don't wanna mess up right now, cause I know what my mate is capable of, even though she doesn't know yet I can say that i got an affect on her. "I-is she your m-mate" it doesn't sound like a question but more on like a statement.

I didn't answer but looked at her intently in her eyes. I've saw how her tears flow down to her cheeks. She's been a good girlfriend to me i have no excuse for that but I have my mate now and I can feel that my feelings for her suddenly disappeared.

"Please Adrian, cant you just choose me!?" I shook my head.

"She's my mate Ashanti not just somebody else." I gritted my teeth as i said those words. She breakdown in front of me, but I have a mate to talk with. I got no choice but to comfort her not as a lover but as an alpha.

" Im sorry shan, but you knew im searching for my mate right?" she nodded.

"It’s okay Adrian, to be honest it really hurt but I know im just a substitute" she said and slightly smile.

"But what if she'll come back?" by the way she say it I can sense that shes worried about that topic.

"I dont care about her anymore, if she'll come back then thats good as long as she stays out of my way" she sigh then nodded.

" I should go you got a tough mate waiting for you out there, good luck ill just take a run." she really is a kind person, who ever her mate is, is very lucky.

I continue to walk towards my room and open it. Surprisingly, I saw my mate taking a nap at the bed. Hmmm she’s comfortable already here, well that’s a good sign, cause I ain't going to let her leave. From now on this room is also hers same as the things. I take a step forward and about sit at the right side of the bed, when see open her beautiful eyes.

" Did i wake you up?"she shook her head, that means no.

" I need to go home."

" No sweetheart i wont let you" she sit properly and face me.

" Tell me why first"

" Its simple cause youre my mate" I said as I looked at her intently but all she did is raise her eyebrow.

" Are you a drug addict or what?" she said.

" Nope, I mean it" I chuckled, she looked so puzzled and quite pissed.

" Mate my ass, jerk. Thats it I'm gonna get out of here."
