The Alien Within

The Alien Within Grinwall is no ordinary country, and Riverdale Academy is no ordinary school. Both are covert battlegrounds where powerful beings, hidden identities, and secret alliances shape the destiny of those who inhabit them. Among these is Tessa Caldwell, a Kaelrian alien with unmatched speed and a mysterious, water-like fragrance. Adopted by her teacher, Ms. Caldwell, Tessa tries to blend in, but her distinct blue eyes betray her origins to those who know where to look. Her life changes when Adrian, a fellow Kaelrian with a fiery aura and god-like confidence, arrives at Riverdale. Their connection is undeniable, but it attracts dangerous attention. When Adrian’s alien nature is revealed during a dramatic hospital incident, chaos erupts. Government agents are dispatched, and Principal Hammond is forced to defend Riverdale’s reputation, as students react with fear, admiration, and jealousy. Bridget Mills, Tessa’s rival, mocks her defeat by claiming she lost to an "alien," while others, like Oxlade and Karl, recount how Adrian saved them. Yet the growing tension at Riverdale is only a glimpse of greater dangers. The SSG organization, a sinister force with eyes on Tessa and Adrian, is joined by an even darker figure: Ikehara, the shadow of the sun god, and a loyal follower of Rhemon, a devil with a grudge against Solaris the true sun god, whose plans threaten the survival of the Kaelrians loyal to Solaris and Lunara (moon goddess). In the midst of a high-stakes escape from SSG, Tessa and Adrian encounter the mysterious Rhemonic people. The Rhemonics, regarding Tessa as the successor to their moon goddess, worship her, forging a powerful alliance. This new found bond brings new challenges, including a dangerous quest to gather ingredients to awaken the Rhemonic people from their limited lands and blocked memories, a curse wrought by Rhemon—a devilish force once thought to be their salvation. As Rhemon rises, threatening to control both Kaelrians and Rhemonics alike, Tessa and Adrian’s mission becomes a race against time. Along the way, Tessa uncovers her heritage as the daughter of Lunara, the moon goddess, and Solaris, the sun god. Adrian, the son of Solaris and a maid, shares a complex, divine bond with Tessa, yet both are haunted by the legacies they inherit. Amidst this conflict, Ashley Duve, a woman who shares the bed and secrets with Rhemon, fools Tessa into believing she was the moon goddess, and she entered her conscious thought, gradually eroding it away while she appears helpful and wise and seemingly innocent, Ashley’s actions soon reveal her true agenda. She uses her powers to impersonate the moon goddess, taking over Tessa’s body, manipulating events to help Ikehara gather the ingredients needed to awaken Rhemon. As Ashley’s allegiance becomes clear, Tessa and Adrian realize they cannot trust anyone, not even those closest to them. Against overwhelming threats, Tessa and Adrian must fight not only to protect each other but also to save their world. Grappling with questions of identity, loyalty, and love, their journey unfolds across various chapters of betrayal, alliances, and epic confrontations with cosmic powers. Only by unlocking the potential within themselves can Tessa and Adrian hope to survive this battle, protecting the very essence of their people and the world.

Chapter 238: The Wrath Of The White Maelstrom!

Chapter 238: The Wrath of the White Maelstrom

Nzak Deri's heart raced as he remained glued to the pilot arch, his hand gripping the control panel so tightly that his knuckles turned white. The formless mass of white smoke continued its ominous advance, each wisp moving with a destructive purpose that defied comprehension. The soundless annihilation left an eerie vacuum in its wake—a silence that screamed louder than any explosion.

"What in the world is that?" he bellowed, his voice reverberating through the ship's control room. His usually calm demeanor was nowhere to be found as his eyes darted from the smoke to the panicked crew scattered across the deck. Some scrambled for escape pods, others clung to their consoles as though sheer willpower could save them from the approaching doom.

Tessa, however, stood unusually still. Her blue eyes, normally so filled with life and determination, seemed to glaze over as if lost in a realm beyond this one. She radiated a strange calm, a stillness that contradicted the chaos around her. To Nzak Deri, she appeared both otherworldly and maddeningly serene.

"My goddess, what do we do...?" Nzak's voice cracked as he turned to her, his gaze flicking between the swirling mass of white destruction and the enigmatic figure of Tessa. The Kaelrian had become his beacon of hope in situations that defied logic, and now, he needed her more than ever.

Tessa's lips parted, but no words came forth. Instead, she closed her eyes, her brow furrowing slightly as though she were listening to an unspoken voice. Inside her mind, a storm raged. Memories not her own flooded her consciousness, a cascade of knowledge inherited from Zorath, the time god who had once touched her existence. Each memory was a fragment of some past era, a relic of wisdom designed to prepare her for moments like this.

Through this labyrinth of thoughts, the image of the white mass burned brightly, forcing irrelevant knowledge to fade into obscurity. Then, amidst the chaos, she found it. A memory as ancient as the stars themselves surfaced—a recollection of a similar energy phenomenon described by Zorath as the White Maelstrom.

"It's not smoke," Tessa murmured, her voice barely audible at first. Her eyes shot open, now glowing faintly with a cerulean hue. "It's energy. Compressed energy on an apocalyptic scale. Its nature isn't to move—it devours and expands simultaneously. Everything in its path is unmade because its molecular vibrations are faster than the speed of light."

Nzak blinked, confused. "And why, exactly, is that supposed to make me feel better?!"

But Tessa didn't answer. Instead, a slow, almost mischievous smile crept across her face. She tapped her fingers rhythmically on her hip, the beginnings of a plan forming in her mind.

"What...what are you smiling at?" Nzak asked, his voice rising with a mix of incredulity and desperation. "We're facing complete annihilation, and you look like you've figured out the punchline to a bad joke!"

Tessa turned to him, her smile broadening. "Because I have."

She strode purposefully toward the ship's energy core, her footsteps steady even as the ground beneath them began to rumble with the White Maelstrom's encroaching presence. The crew turned to her, their faces pale, their expressions questioning.

"Listen up," Tessa announced, her voice slicing through the tension like a blade. "The Maelstrom isn't a bad thing, infact, it would be beneficial to the ship. All we need to do is use a specially container to collect it and feed this energy to the ship."

Nzak's jaw dropped. "You want to feed this thing, this mass of destruction to the whale? I'm sorry to say, I respect you and I swore to follow you but you seem to be losing it? And With what container do you want to collect the energy? The whale ship's coffee machine?"

Tessa smiled. "What are the three major raw materials that are indigenous to the Zubo planet that I used as the major production material for the ship?"

Nzak Deri didn't know where all this was going but he answered nonetheless. "Beri Metal, Green clay and Golden cray shaft.".

"Good, do you remember that I told you the function of the green clay?" Tessa asked as a smile played on her lips.

Nzak Deri who had his eyes partially on the approaching mass of destruction couldn't wait till Tessa got to the point and had just shouted, "we'll be dead at this rate by the time you actually do get to the point, please just spill it out..."

Tessa chuckled, "Press the green button below the turbo button."

Nzak Deri didn't even hesitate as he pressed it without question. Immediately, the entire spaceship hummed. The surface opened and the clay metal underneath the surface was exposed.

At that moment, the mass of destruction collided with the ship. The ship shook vigorously, shaking everyone, causing them to roll, and tumble around like headless chickens but it was relatively safe.

At that time, the shaking suddenly stopped and the ship stabilized, but a sucking sound could be heard as the energy sucked the entire mass of white energy till nothing was left, and the ship moved even faster.

Nzak Deri lay sprawled on the floor, clutching the edge of the pilot console as the violent tremors subsided. Around him, the crew groaned, some still tangled in their safety harnesses, others lying in heaps where the turbulence had tossed them. The chaos of moments ago had given way to an eerie calm, punctuated only by the strange, rhythmic hum that now emanated from the ship.

"What...what just happened?" Nzak gasped, dragging himself upright and gripping the console for balance. His wide eyes locked onto Tessa, who stood at the center of the room, her hair slightly disheveled but her composure as unshaken as ever.

The faint glow in her cerulean eyes had faded, replaced by a twinkle of satisfaction. She dusted herself off, adjusting the wrist strap of her suit as if they hadn't just survived an encounter with an apocalyptic force of destruction.

"It worked," she said simply, her tone so casual that it sent a fresh wave of irritation through Nzak.

"Worked?" he sputtered, his voice rising. "You just casually press a button which I beleive was used to feed the White Maelstrom to the ship like it was a free snack bar! That thing obliterated everything in its path, and now you're telling me it's part food for our engine?!"

Tessa raised an eyebrow, the corner of her mouth quirking upward in an amused smirk. "Exactly. And might I add, it's not just 'part' of our engine—it's now the most efficient energy source this ship has ever seen." She tapped the side of her head. "You're welcome."

Nzak ran a hand through his hair, muttering under his breath. "By the stars...she's absolutely blimey...raging mad." He glanced at the crew, who were still staring at Tessa with a mix of awe and disbelief.
