Chapter 9: Wandering around the neighbourhood (II)

Michael was a bit special. It takes the form of a key. It has the ability to seal a target's function by impaling it with the key and can alter the very fabric of space-time by unlocking space to create a wormhole. Overall, Michael is a devastating ability capable of planetary levels of destruction at full power. It's ability to seal includes even abstract concepts like emotions and memories. Likewise, its use of wormholes allow for a method of instantaneous travel and unparalleled range in coordinating long distance attacks in the form of redirecting debris. This ability was very strong if used correctly, but the drawbacks were equally bad, leaving him exhausted for a few days if used to teleport from the north pole to the south pole. But sealing abilities, emotion and memories takes up less energy. The size of the key can shrink for easier carry.

Raphael is a long range, offensive bow and arrow made up of a pendulum with a pointed tip as the bow and a lance as the arrow. It can be used separately or together, and give Shido the ability to manipulate wind and fly in the air. Gabriel has two parts, a piano and an organ. Both have similar functions, the only differences were the size and scale of attacks. The piano has a smaller range than the organ. Gabriel is a sound related ability, able to brainwash, restrain, enhance strength, rejuvenate soul and heal minor wounds. Shido could also manipulate the pipes from the organs to direct the sounds at a specific area.

The last ability was a great sword. Nothing special, but it allows Shido to manipulate energy, allowing him to dish out energy slashes and energy barriers that can cut through concrete and defend a full power punch from All Might before breaking respectively. But Shido observed that All Might's defence might be stronger than concrete, so he didn't know if the energy slash would be able to cut him.

Shido felt that it had a lot more potential than just a simple sword, but for now, he could not activate anything special about Sandalphon.

Having this many abilities in one single quirk gives him a lot of versatility, but also makes it a lot harder to master it. Up till now, Shido was only using the basic abilities of his quirk for simple things. He had tried before, but he could not manipulate reality or space yet. He could manipulate time, but only because Zafkiel makes it much easier to do so.

For his age, he was without a doubt extremely strong. But he didn't care about people his age. His (self-proclaimed) rival was a monster with a quirk that was passed down from one generation to another, and this generation was extremely strong. Disgustingly strong. Moving above the speed of sound? Smashing through concrete like nothing? Using air pressure to destroy liquid monsters and villains? He had everything. Even after destroying the entire left side of his body he could still live and walk around.

Not even mentioning All Might, other pro heroes could still fight with him toe to toe. Shido's best weapon was not to fight head on, but to stay invulnerable to all attacks and attack from the shadows. Pro heroes wouldn't be able to defeat him, but Shido was also unable to defeat them if they choose to defend passively or have a quirk that overpowers him by a large margin. He had to become stronger, to protect both himself and his loved ones.

After letting out a sigh, something very weird when seeing this from a child, he hopped from where he was seated and began to walk out of the playground. He was when he reached a somewhat deserted place to mosaic himself that he heard it.

"KYAHH!!!"

He heard the scream of a young girl. He began to sprint in the direction of the scream in order to see what was happening. There, in the alley, a girl wearing expensive clothes was being dragged by two men. One had the head of a lizard while the other had a horn on his head.

Shido's eyes narrowed at this sight. Under the list of hates compiled together by Shido and Yoshinon, the top of the list was rape, followed by kidnapping and third was any form of aggression towards children.

Yoshinon's eyes narrowed as well, and spoke with a malicious tone. "Shido, let's devour them after a bit of fun, alright?" Shido didn't answer, but it could be seen from his eyes that he agreed with him. Mosaicing themselves, they made themselves known to them.

The girl was crying as she was being dragged by those two weird men. She had snuck out of her house because she was tired of how stuffy and cramped it was. Now, she regretted this. Perhaps she would never see her parents again?

'Please, someone, anyone! Save me!' She thought to herself.

That was when she had such thoughts that she saw something passing by. At first, she was overjoyed since she thought that a hero or people from her family came to save her. But when she lifted her head, she was disappointed and scared. She couldn't see the thing's face or body or shadow. It was like a ghost, silently appearing out of nowhere.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here. A ghost? A fantastic second merchandise comes to our doorstep." The lizard head said as he leered at the ghost.

The ghost, Shido, was speechless. Logically, anyone who saw him would either relate him to Phantom or something scary, not as a merchandise.

Unable to take it any longer, Yoshinon replied him,"Are you stupid or something? When you see something you can't touch, how are you going to catch it?"

Usually the kidnappers would just laugh at him, but the voice was distorted creepily, making the atmosphere spooky and scary. Moreover, the figure was glitching, making the entire scene seem as though it came out of a horror movie.

"You should let her go while I'm still restraining myself, at least your punishment would be lightened~" Shido told them in a sing-song manner, not that it helped with the creepy voice he produced.

A/N: If you think I'm nerfing Shido a lot, well, it won't be for long. He won't be using space or reality manipulation anytime soon anyways, so it wouldn't matter too much.
