Ascension

"Had enough?" Xia Qingyue asked coldly once I returned from my battle, I was covered in my blood, and many injuries that were having a hard time healing. I was about to speak, but Ice gathered around my arm, forming an arm wrist. This froze my capability... well suppressed it as she couldn't do such a thing.

"You broke your promise, and now the whole immortal realm knows of your existence. Did you not learn anything the first time around?" Qin Wentian asked not happy with just what happened. At his words, I froze remembering his aunt.

For 5 years, I was too bored. For 5 years, I had this feeling I was touching upon that peak, but if I didn't get a blood-pumping battle, I would never reach it. I couldn't help it, thats even more so when I didn't start it. Mu Xuanyin started it, all I did was speak the truth... but I put everyone in danger once more thanks to my recklessness.

I sighed softly, while just going to stand at the side. Qin Wentian seeing this realized he might have gone too far, but Xia Qingyue stopped him from doing anything. Instead, Xia Qingyue came over to help me heal, much to Yun Che's discomfort.

Yun Che was honestly unable to get used to the fact his wife and I seemed to have a unique connection. Xia Qingyue was... well, she understood me. Although I say that Gu Changga might be my only friend, I already saw her as a friend of mine. if she wasn't married, then maybe... but she was, and I wasn't the type to take from the weak.

"Did you do it?" Xia Qingyue asked while freezing a cut that ran across my chest with her ice.

"Yeah, I did 3 things. the first was recreating that state of happiness. Being so happy to the extreme that you are free. but I took that happiness and turned it into combat spirit." I said lightly,

"Second, I reached the peak of my strength. I can't grow stronger, and my martial arts can't grow. I reached 100%. My limit was fighting those 5 Infinities above my current level of cultivation." I said lightly. I had broken through to level 9 Qi Condensation, but by the looks of things, I would never be able to go past that 5th infinity which was the Immortal Sovereign realm until I became a Heavenly Immortal.

"Third, I'm now going past 100%," I said softly. Let's take a step backward for a moment and understand what it means to go past 100%. 100% was impossible, then what about 100%? It's something that was... well, even more impossible.

I had gained 100% mastery in both my body, mind, and soul. I had zero limiters on myself as I had 100% control over myself. I could tell my body to do more than it should. I could tell my heart to beat at such a high speed, that I would start burning from the inside out, and start sweating my blood.

I could do all of this... but I didn't, as I liked to be in control. but add the concept of going past 100%, I could have my body do more than my body could do without the drawback... because I could control it.

My martial arts can now go past 100%. In the past, Complete Stanceless had one flaw, a flaw I couldn't remove no matter what I tried. The Complete Stanceless attacks and moves were not as good as when I moved with a stance.

But by going past 100%, Complete Stanceless would be as complex as when I move, and also be as powerful. Hell, it would be like clones of myself were before you, unseen to you, yet the clone would be moving and fighting as well as myself. Cool right? it would only grow even more overpowered when I moved alongside Complete Stanceless, allowing me to probably reach the 6th Infinity if I manage to get the hang of this.

"I always wondered... if you have 100% mastery of yourself, why can't you just tell yourself you're in a life and death battle and grow from there?" She asked to which I sighed softly, I had tried this, but it was hard for me to lie to myself like that. Be it in my dreams or otherwise, I wasn't able to trick myself.

"Oh... what if I freeze part of your mind, giving you the chance to trick yourself?" She asked, not needing me to explain to her what that sigh meant. I paused for a moment, before nodding as that might work.

"But no drums while you're sleeping." She said with a frown, to which I nodded with a smile. Xia Qingyue and everyone else had reached their limits. which was skipping pretty much 3 infinities. In other words, they could fight immortal kings. but given time, that would increase while mine would drop. So who knows, with how things look, in the future, I will be equal with them unless I can keep improving.

Xia Qingyue tapped the ice around my arm, giving it the power to even chill part of my mind. after, we just went quiet as she healed my injuries using ice... which honestly hurt. She was mad. the shirt was something she had created, so me just ripping it off like I did displeased her.

"..." Yun Che frowned while looking at this sight, honestly, he would have lashed out long ago if he didn't know the type of person I was. Qin Wentian sighed while looking at this, it was clear Xia Qingyue didn't like Yun Che. The whole reason they were even married was because of the arranged marriage their parents had set, and even then, Yun Che wasn't even supposed to be the one to marry Xia Qingyue.

"You do love birds can stop, let him suffer from those injuries." Helian Xun said with a sneer seeing all of this just happen. Xia Qingyue shrugged as the injuries which could have huge side effects on my health were already healed up. 

"Now, with the fool going out and showing off, we have eyes on us. We have two ways to go about this. I say we go into hiding, they know of the fool, but not us." Helian Xun said calmly,

"We should try and use his strength to set the foundation of Limitless." Qin Wentian said while looking over towards Jasmine who was looking out into the void. I didn't kill anyone, they were too weak for me to kill, yes many of them were an inch from death, but they were alive... although death might be sweet and beautiful for many of them.

"You should all return to the lower realm and ascend. yes, the tribulation you would face might kill you, but the boost of power you would all experience is going to be great." Jasmine said calmly, making everyone pause at her words.

They didn't ascend to the immortal realm, even for them it was too dangerous. the ascension tribulation would surely kill them. They all couldn't help but look towards me, after all, I didn't do it for a reason.

"Don't look at me... I forgot that one gets a boost of power from ascending... plus, is the heavens worthy of giving me power?" I asked with a shrug, making them all roll their eyes slightly.

"We should go.. but not now, after all, our ascension would cause great waves. We don't want the whole immortal realm eying us... if they already don't. but we have to make sure we don't break through a major realm." Qin Wentian said with a frown, for the boost of power to work, one can't have broken through within the immortal realm in not levels, but a realm.

"... let's focus on having Jasmine recover her strength. Combat experience is the last thing we need, we can just use her and Wu Xian until we recover." Xia Qingyue said, to which Jasmine frowned lightly, but she nodded in the end in agreement as that was indeed for the best.

If she recovered, and added on top of the training she went through, she would be the strongest within the immortal realm. She would be so powerful, that even I would not be her match. But to get the resources needed for her to recover wasn't going to be simple. after all, she needed to recover the strength of a level 10 Immortal Sovereign. Adding the changes that had happened to her body... well, let's say recovering her power wasn't going to be simple.

"Naw, Jasmine isn't going to make a move unless needed," I said with a bored yawn while getting up to go take a bath. 

"I refuse to hide and run. The Snow Song realm would be our base for some time, we would spread out from here... if you want to ascend, go do it now. Jasmine and I would block your karma so no one senses you. As for where you would suddenly appear, thats all on your luck." I said to which all of them frowned for some time, but in the end, they agreed.

So, they were teleported back to the lower realm, and from there they went through their ascension tribulation. With all of them going through the ascension at the same time, it shook not just the lower realm, but even the immortal realm. 

The heavens had to show might at the Immortal King realm within the lower realm, not for an immortal, but mortals. Wasn't this too shocking? Everyone was shaken by these tribulations, never before seen tribulations were born... and everyone who saw them had their mouth drop.

A man with a blindfold was their tribulation, it's like the heavens couldn't think of anything better, so it created this. all of them had to face that man with the blindfold, but the man with the blindfold only used the same style as them. For Xia Qingyu, he used ice. For Yun Che, he used a heavy sword, and the list went on.

To say the least, they had to defeat my copy if they wished to ascend, if they fail, they would either die or be crippled... and they managed to ascend, although they had to push themselves to heights that left them on the blink of death.

I didn't bother to watch them go through their ascension, I knew they would do well. Instead, I sat in the Mu Xuanin tub, rubbing my back while humming to myself.

"You did a number to my elder sister." Mu Bingyun was not happy as she entered the bathhouse, and glared at me, not bothered by the fact I was but naked.

"Don't worry, the only real damage she took was her Dao's heart. I want her to break it, and rebuild it stronger than ever. Your sister has a strong personality, she would come back from this. Just remind her that even a diamond is breakable. but if Diamond is just a bit flexible, its durability would be hundreds of times greater." I said to which Mu Bingyun paused, I turned to look at her before speaking.

"Sooner or later, her personality would have gotten her killed. I just opened a door for her to stand at the peak of the immortal realm. I don't care for her coming for round two, I'm waiting for an event that is slowly coming." I said with a smile, given some time, the world would adapt to me... I couldn't wait.

"Still..." Mu Bingyun said with a downcast look, she didn't like seeing her elder sister so down and weak. It broke her heart and made her want to hit someone, but she wasn't a fighter, even now she couldn't bring herself to try and even attempt to harm me. She was too innocent.

"You're too kind, it's the reason why your sister has to be so ruthless. The cultivation world is cruel, you would have died trillions of times over... no, with your beauty, death would be the best thing that could happen to you." I said causing Mu Bingyun to go quiet.

"It's okay to not want to fight, even so... try and support your big sister. She has so many things on her shoulders, I don't mind teaching you, take it as thanks from me to you." I said lightly, to which Mu Bingyun just nodded with a lost look... hearing her sister had to be so ruthless because of her... well, it hurt. She couldn't help but feel guilty, she felt like she was a mountain that her sister had to carry around.

I sighed as she left, shaking my head, I sat back and got lost in my mind... I didn't have my blindfold on, I would need some time to recreate a new blindfold. If I had such high control over myself, why couldn't I just turn off my eyes? Thats because of the Limitless: 6 Eyes technique I had created.

Limitless: 6 Eyes was a technique that took a huge amount of my energy, and sent it into both my eyes and brain, refining them and strengthening them to far greater heights. Remember how Infinity divided distances and stuff? Well, take that concept but instead of dividing distance, you are multiplying the capability of your eyes. This is pretty much what I did, and went on to evolve these eyes to not only catch up but a step beyond even me.

"How does being in more than one place work? maybe if I look at space as paper, I could fold space and poke a hole through the paper? No, thats how a gate is pretty much made. What if I view myself as a shadow cast upon the paper? In a way, I'm everywhere on the paper...." I couldn't help but think deeply about this, but my attention was quickly drawn as a bloody woman suddenly appeared in the sky, and fell into the bath.

I looked on with a raised eyebrow, Xia Qingyue weakly stood up, her clothing shattering as she had frozen them to enhance her defense. this revealed the sight of her injuries, as she was covered in holes as ice of all sizes had pierced her.

She stood there, not bothering to worry about the fact she was naked. She was more worried to know where she ascended to. She would faint at any moment, and couldn't hold on for long... but she paused seeing me just looking at her.

'It seems like the heavens are pushing her to take my primal Yang.' I thought while ignoring her. Xia Qingyue on the other hand was too tired to think, and as soon as she relaxed, she fainted. Thanks to my training, she didn't fall over, she fainted while standing there.

"So, if I cast a shadow." And so I returned to my work of trying to see if I could create a technique that would make me Omnipresent. I also had to make a technique to make me all-knowing, it was embarrassing that the heavens knew more than me... I had to change that. how could a lower lifeform be better than me at anything?
