The Wall
A day had passed and finally Kai was in the wall. Upon arriving he saw a massive wall that was at least three-hundred feet tall. Kai seeing this was in awe. The wall looked to be extremely reinforced and people in heavy armor were in the top roaming the giant wall, apparently they were warriors that ranked no lower than low A.
"They're definitely strong," Kai said while entering the wall.
When entering he could see a lot of people inside there was even a cafe, the people inside wore modern armor and other medieval armor, but a dark aura emitted from them that only Kai could see. It was clear that these were beast armors.
Kai then walked to a desk that was next to a big reinforced door.
"Hey sir, how can I help you?" A woman with red hair said. She was lean with almost no body but she still had a pretty face. She was also wearing a black suit and glass giving her a professional look.
"My name is Kai Hellbound, I was instructed to come here and give my name" Kai said calmly but seeing this woman frowned upon hearing his name made him knit his eyes.
"Place your hand on this stone" She said, taking out a round stone that had a N shape rune on it.
Kai proceeded to put his hand on the stone.
"Now pour out your magic onto the stone, it will determine your rank" she said with an annoyed look on her face.
"What's her problem?" Kai thought in annoyance but then a smirk appeared in his face.
*BOOM*
His aura exploded from his body instantly raising the temperature in the room. Purplish light also cracked around his body for a second, making the woman widen her eyes. Plasma was a rare higher form that not many had, it was even rare among the higher ranks. So it was normal she was so shocked to see Kai's higher form.
The mythic swirled around the rune. It shone bright for a second, but the light faded in a few seconds. The woman then wrote something on a tablet she grabbed from the desk. After that a small platform appeared and a type of card materialized.
"Low B rank, would you like to show your higher form on your warrior license?" She asked.
"No," Kai said after thinking for a bit, but he thought it would be better that way.
The card disintegrated before reappearing again. The woman then gave Kai the card before explaining what it was for.
"This card will function as a bypass, now there are Four types of missions: Elimination, Exploration, Emergency and Special. You can find missions on the wall stations: North, South, East and West. We are currently in the south station. But be aware that some beasts are regional so there may be unique missions on each station. Now being a low B rank you can get approved to hunt up to medium tier beasts alone and warrior tier with a party. If you decide to kill another beast that is not in your approved mission and try to redeem the reward, you will get a strike on the license and will not get rewarded. You get up to three strikes and after that you are banished from the wall. The details of the rewards upon completing an approved vary and the mission info will be given after it gets approved" She explained in detail and had a serious face all the time.
"Ok, Thank you" Kai was about to leave but was stopped by the woman.
"Any warrior that roams the Island without a mission approved will be banished instantly and could even be sentenced to death" It was the last thing she said.
"I guess this is their way to control the Island and also it's a way of forcing the warriors to help the governments specified missions" He thought.
Kai walked straight to where the missions were supposed to be. A blue translucent board was in front of him, he could see the missions were divided by ranks and categories. Kai was thinking of what he should choose.
"I think the type of mission with more free roam should be exploration, since the others have a deadline. The thing is I want to test my skills a bit before trying to take bigger missions. When I woke up I managed to kill a medium tier alone but after the incident with Nika the system restricted my power but I have leveled a lot, but I'm not sure what my limit is" Kai was deep in thought.
He saw an elimination mission that was to kill a group of ten low tier beasts that were camping an area of the island pretty heavily.
"I think I can manage," Kai said, tapping the mission.
When he did he was asked to scan his license, once the scanned the mission got approved instantly. "Well that's convenient" Kai said before walking to the desk again.
"Leaving so soon?" The woman asked.
"Yeah, I just got my first mission, I'm guessing those doors are the entrance?"
The woman then touched a button and the door made a loud mechanism sound. The door unlocked and opened. Kai then walked through it and found in front of him another door, this one was just like the other one. The door behind him closed and the front one started to open, when the door opened and the electric fence deactivated.
Kai then took a step out, tilted his head, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The aroma of the salty sea entered his nose, under his feet the texture of sand could be felt as his boots sank a little bit. The sun was bright and hot. It gave a pleasing temperature around the island.
"I don't know why but I feel so relaxed here" Kai said before he opened his eyes.
He was currently in the beach part of the island and in front of him was the jungle he could feel powerful auras coming from deep within.
"Okay the info said that the beast is camping a boat that's covered by sand at the south east. Let's just head there for now" Kai said as he dashed towards his first mission.
Excitement filled his body and sparks could be seen flying off his body.
"As proof of completion I just need to take their teeths" He said while running and when he said that a notification appeared.
