Mission Failed

Alarms could be heard as Sarah, Rita and Kai ran down a hall. Slightly behind them a group of people threw elemental attacks and some even shot prototypes firearms at them. Seeing the weapon they proceeded to take cover behind a wall.

*Bang*

*Bang*

Bullets hit the wall they took cover in, but it was not enough to stop the bullets, as pieces started to blow apart.

Rita looked at Kai with an angry expression.

"Why did you have to make such a scene back there?" She shouted.

Kai looked at his shoulder which was bleeding, as he clenched his fist. "Because that was my father," he said angrily.

A couple of hours ago…

"Remember we have a meeting with a Doctor at this hotel. This doctor is our inside man, also be careful since he has reported that Astro Tower had started to suspect him" Sarah said before entering the hotel and heading to the dining room.

Sarah gave the hostess a card and the hostess just led them to a table with a gray hair middle aged man. The man smiled as he was about to stand up, before being signaled by Sarah not to.

She glanced at the men who looked nervous and frowned.

"You got a coworker with you?" Kai asked calmly as he sat on the table.

"Yes, but he's in the bathroom, like I said in my report Ms. Drake, they suspect me and have assigned me a supervisor. Here's all you need to know now before he comes back" the Dr said.

"Before who arrives?" A muscular black hair man said. The presence of this man gave a dangerous feeling to it.

But Kai was the one who was the most shocked. This man recognized him as no other than his father. Rick Hellbound.

"Do I know you?" Rick said to Kai who just lowered his head.

This notification appeared in front of Kai but he wasn't paying attention. As he breath became heavier, flashes of what happened to his mom and sister appeared in his head.

His vision became blurry as the temperature in the room began to rise. Seeing this Rick frowned and Sarah and Rita knew something was going down so they prepared.

The black gauntlets cover Kai's hands as purplish lightning started to cover Kai's body this made Rick widened his eyes.

"Plasma?" He said.

Suddenly

"You bastard!!" Kai jumped over the table and hit him with all his strength. Making Rick crash into another table.

Kai was breathing heavily, as he looked at his father standing up.

But Kai didn't let it rest as he dashed towards him, tackling him. His father stood there not budging, he then grabbed Kai and slammed him against a wall.

He then took out his phone…

"We got a situation at the hotel-" before he could finish a plasma blade hit the phone after Rick moved his head backwards.

The people in the dining room started to run away. Kai then punched Rick in the face. "You don't even remember me. After you killed mom and Alice. How dare you forget your SIN"

Kai was currently seeing red. There was no oz of reasoning in his head.

"I'll burn it into you so you remember what you did, Father" Kai said as his body started to change.

[Incomplete Hell's Embodiment]

Sarah and Rita were caught in between all the people trying to exit and couldn't even hear what Kai was saying.

"So it's you Kai finally grew a pair huh" Rick said before his aura exploded violently and with killing intent.

"Let's see what you got my son," Rick said.

Kai leapt towards his father, blinded by rage not caring for the clear difference in strength. His skin was black in color thanks to the incomplete transformation. He threw his right leg towards his face but it was blocked by his fathers arm.

[Fire Stream]

Fire burst from his left hand right towards Rick's face but his father had already left his spot appearing behind him. He joined his hands and threw them down slamming Kai to the ground.

Kai started to stand up and create a plasma blade which pierced the stomach of his father. Blood started to drip from the wound, yet he remained motionless. Kai then took out the blade and jumped back breathing heavily, he had regained his composure after being slammed to the ground.

He now felt the danger emitting from his father's body. In front of his eyes his father's wound began to heal as fire scorched it.

"Not with the power you were born with and not even with the boost of Mythic energy from the meteor. You are still weak" Rick said.

"What? Power I was born with? And you know the name of this energy, how is that possible?" Kai asked.

"That's easy, how do you think King's Marks were created?" His father asked.

"You know about the King's Mark?" Kai said.

"Yes, they are merely an experiment that was conducted by the government of my generation. The first appearance of Mythic in this world" Rick said smiling. As his body lit on Fire but it was no normal fire as it was red with some tint of orange.

Kai was confused by what his father just said. "His generation experiment? What did that mean?" Kai had a lot of questions.

"What do you think Mythic was just discovered? That your generation is special?" Rick said while laughing.

Cracking sounds could be heard as bones started to stick out of his back. The bones started to get covered by intense red feathers. That soon lit on red fire, which heat was not like the normal fire that Kai could produce.

Seeing the wings a word came to mind, a memory of Darya telling him about assimilation. That it was yet not confirmed but in front of him his father had done it.

"The military is one of the orders of this world with most secrets. You may have to find a new sponsor" Rick said, smiling.

Men with guns started to shoot at Rita and Sarah, and Kai. But the bullets weren't normal, they were prototype firearms like the one in the army.

"Technology sure is advancing quickly. Weak people relying on crutches like always" Rick said shrugging as he raised his hand with a fireball in the tip of his finger.

*Bang x3*

Three fireballs shot out and Kai managed to dodge two of them. The last one however hit his arm and wounded him. He fell to the floor before Sarah dashing at him and pushed him out of the way. Rita also ran towards them as they started to take cover between the walls while running.

Alarms started to sound.

"Why did you have to make such a scene back there?" She shouted.

Kai looked at his shoulder which was bleeding, as he clenched his fist. "Because that was my father," he said angrily.

"Get out here Kai! Let's resume our fight. Show your old man how strong you are!" Rick shouted with a crazy expression.

He started to charge up a red fireball but a yellow energy started to join with the fire.

"What's that?" Kai asked as he saw the other men retreat.

<Nuclear Mythic, get out of their Hellbound>

A deep voice shouted inside Kai's head. He recognized the voice and started to take action upon the warning.

He picked up Rita and Sarah and ran towards a widow.

"Boom!" Rick said as the ball of mythic shot forwarded and exploded.

The explosion's shockwave stretched and destroyed everything it touched. Kai's legs muscles tenses up and jumped through the window.

Just barely escaping the explosion but now another problem. They were midair and falling fast.

"Sarah!" Kai shouted

She waved her hand and a root sprute from the ground and stretched to them catching them in the air.

"That was close" Kai said.

Back at the building half of it was now missing.

"Sir, the tower will not be happy about this" a man said to Rick.

"What they told me to only use small explosions" as he walked away from the man.

In a massive building a man could be seen looking out the window. The man had a suit on and was talking on the phone.

"So that happened, siege the city no one enters or leaves. Until they are captured I also would love to meet your son Rick. Be sure to leave him alive" the man said, hanging the phone.
