Jin Mingze reached out his hand to her, showing his palm, "Fine, read it."
She looked at his wide palm and blinked a few times before looking back at him, "Can I touch it?"
"Hn, go on."
She reached out and held his hand.
For some reason, the moment they felt each other's hand, they felt a spark between them.
Chen Rui was taken aback and so was Jin Mingze.
"You felt that?" She asked, looking at him.
"Yeah."
She looked at his palm then back to him, "It says here that blessings will only start showering on you once you share your future with me." She grinned.

When she saw that he didn't give her a reaction, she shyly blushed.
"Kidding." She quickly said and pouted. She looked at his palm and stroked his lines with her finger, "That aside... Mm, you have a beautiful luck line. You're healthy too. Ah, your lifeline stopped here but then it got reconnected again with another line. That means a big accident is going to come that will nearly take your life away but since you have great luck with you, you will survive that life-threatening situation."
"So in other words, because of my great luck, I will survive any kind of life-threatening situation?"
"This is the longest sentence I heard from you right now but yes, you are correct."
He raised a brow upon her remark about 'the longest sentence'.
"As for your love life... you won't have one unless I'm in it." She looked at him and grinned.
Her smile was so blinding for Jin Mingze that it made his heart skip a beat.
"Kidding!" She said again upon receiving no response from him.
Damn it. This guy was so hard to flirt with.
"Anyway, it's getting late. I should go home now. I should go and greet your sister one last time."
She released his hand and turned away, leaving him alone in the balcony.
After bidding her goodbye to Jin Lisa, the moment she went out of the place, her father approached her.
"Xiao Rui, wait!"
Chen Rui turned to her father, "Dad, I'm really tired right now."
"You're not going to come home with us?" He asked.
"Why should I? I rather sleep alone in someplace instead of sleeping in our place knowing that there are snakes there waiting to bite."
Chen Luizhi knew who she was pertaining to, "They've changed..." He reasoned out.
Chen Rui raised a brow, crossing her arms, "Of course they changed! Snakes can change skins you know but guess what, no matter how many skins they change, snakes will be snakes."
She left her father there and entered her car.

Upon arriving at her place, when she entered her apartment, she saw a red-haired man, sitting on the sofa, reading a book.
"Ou Yuan...?"
The man turned his face to her. He has smooth flawless skin, which was like a sheet of well-done cloth. His eyes, which was under his crimson short hair, glinted under the moonlight. He has a high-bridged nose that was among his two eyes. His soft sharp lips were very attractive and captivating.
His lips curved up into a smile as he closed the book he was reading. He stood up and faced her, "Welcome back, Chen Rui."
"Ou Yuan! You're back!" She went and happily pounced on him "I missed you so much!"
A soft chuckle was heard from him, "Me too."
Ou Yuan was one of the Bloodmoon's top assassins who retired and worked from behind instead. He was the one in charge of training Chen Rui when she joined in.
"You should have called me!"
"I wanted to surprise you." He said as he patted her head. "By the way, here, I have brought a gift for you."
He took out a small box and when he opened it, it was a simple bracelet with butterfly design.
"It's so pretty!"
"I knew you'll like it when I saw this." He put on the bracelet around her wrist.
"Thank you, master!" She happily hugged him again to which he smiled and patted her head.
"By the way, I have something else for you."
"Eh? You have more surprises?"
He nodded and smiled, "Yes."
"What is it?"
"I found your sister."
