Our First Date Together

We are heading off to our dinner date and I can't stop my hands from sweating. Zac can't seem to calm down. Stealing glances at Annmera in the passenger seat his breath keeps being taken away. Thinking to himself he's saying " Come on Zac get yourself together, you need to talk or something". Just as Zac was thinking all this Annmera spoke up " Hey Zac… umm I'm kinda nervous too so you don't have to stress over it. It's totally okay to be nervous…. Umm I mean if your nervous". This girl was something else, just one look at me and she could tell I was nervous, and not only that she's being vulnerable and letting me know that she's nervous too. I can't help the huge smile on my face all I can think to say is " Thank you Annmera, to be honest, I was super nervous. I don't really go on dates or let alone ask a girl cause I'm always busy with work. I probably seem super lame huh." 

Not even missing a beat she says " NO.. umm I mean no I don't think your lame at all, to be fair I'm the same way I don't really date and I'm always working. You're not lame rather you're really sweet, I love that you were thinking about me the entire time and worrying about what happened at the bar. You're amazing Zac." Bro my heart is racing so fast, I don't think I've ever had this feeling with a girl before ughh I can't help but blush now. One arm on the wheel and the other covering my mouth while my arm rests on the window I say thank you. I wonder if she can see me blushing, that would be so embarrassing. After all that we started talking about ourselves, family, and our jobs. We pull up to our destination and she is kinda wondering why we are here. Annmera looks at me with a confused look on her face asking me " Zac why are we in the middle of a field?" I just smile and say " Will you trust me tonight?" She nods. 

As I get out I let the tailgate to my truck down and get some things from the back seat while I tell her I'll come get her when I'm ready. Finally, everything is done, I walk over to her door and open it. She's looking at me and I say "I need you to close your eyes" All she says is "Umm okay". Walking her to the back of the tailgate I tell her to open her eyes and they go wide. Looking at her I say " I wanted our date to be special and something you won't forget so I decided to go with the date idea my dad used with my mom. Blankets and pillows were laid out in the bed of the truck with a picnic basket full of food with twinkle lights all over the back so we could see while we ate. We can lie down and star gaze after we eat and talk. Do you like it?" 

I am literally so nervous right now, she hates it doesn't she… Holding in my breath waiting for the worst Annmera turns to me saying " This is the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me, I love this. To be honest I've always wanted someone to do this for me. My parents did it on their first date too. I guess our parents had good taste haha." I finally start to breathe again as I'm taking in air again she is walking towards me. What is she fixing to do? All of a sudden she stops right in front of me looking into my eyes she takes one of her hands puts it on the side of my face and pulls me into a kiss as she stands on her tiptoes then pulls back and says thank you. She is blushing even in the dead of night. With the moon hitting just right and the twinkling lights she looks so beautiful and the blushing just makes her even more beautiful I just can't help myself and I pull her into a deeper kiss. I don't want to let go of this woman.
