Chapter 32.1 : Beach

As she opened her eyes and stared at the beautiful blue sky above her, which was currently filled by countless stars, Diana, who had just regained her consciousness, suddenly smiled.

"Am I back on earth? That would be quite interesting, with how much time has passed..." mumbled Diana as she suddenly took in a deep breath, filling her lungs, which had not tasted air in millions of years.

Although Diana did not need to breathe, as she felt the air move through her lungs, a sense of exhilaration couldn't help but spread through Diana's body.

Merely a moment later, Diana suddenly moved, trying to jump out from the sand she was currently lying down on.

Sadly, though, it seemed as though a mountain was pressed above Diana's body, impeding her from moving up from the ground.

Instead, Diana simply flipped over, landing her face right into the sand, which from the sounds of the ocean behind her, was a beach, not a desert.

A moment later, Diana once again moved, this time, with over a dozen times more strength than before, allowing her to instantly rise from the ground and land on her feet.

The first thing that greeted Diana once she got up to her feet was a tropical forest, with a tall dinosaur clearly eating from a tree, right in front of Diana.

...

"As expected, it still doesn't work..." mumbled Diana, who had sat down on the sand, and was staring into the ocean, as a golden figure appeared behind her for a brief moment, before being seemingly rejected by the very world itself and disappearing only a moment later.

As it turned out, not only was Diana's strength suppressed at the moment, her stand, Tempo Symphony also seemed to have lost the ability to manifest itself.

Even more concerning was the fact that Diana lost most of her abilities as well, even her regeneration, which had previously made Diana unkillable seemed to have been toned down as well.

After some testing, Diana discovered that a small wound took over five seconds for her to heal, which although much was than normal human regeneration, was snail-like to Diana.

If she was on earth, Diana wouldn't have worried much about the loss of strength, but as she stared at the stars above her, which were clearly unfamiliar to her, as well as at the dinosaur, who was still leisurely eating leaves from a tree, Diana knew that this place was most likely not earth.

But even so, no matter where Diana ended up, as long as she didn't have to go back to that endless darkness, Diana would be happy.

As she stared at the dinosaur that was leisurely minding its own business, Diana couldn't help but fall into thought, as a temptation that had long since left her suddenly returned.

"I wonder how it tastes like..." mumbled Diana as she got up from the sand, which was slightly annoying her skin.

A moment later, Diana suddenly jumped from the ground and leaped over a few dozen meters, nearly instantly arriving near the extremely long neck of the dinosaur, which Diana recognized but didn't know the name of.

Instantly, Diana's leg struck the long neck of the dinosaur, instantly snapping it and sending the beast to the ground, causing a few trees to fall to the ground, one of them right next to Diana.

Just as Diana was about to let herself fall to the ground peacefully, she suddenly moved her head just an inch, dodging a tree that was just about to hit her.

"That was a bit weird..." mumbled the naked Diana as she gracefully fell to the ground a moment later.

It was not like Diana in her previous life couldn't dodge something like this, as her instincts were far above human limits, but even so, right now, Diana couldn't help but feel as though something was different this time.

It was as though Diana had not used her instinct to sense the tree, instead, she used something else entirely.

...

"It's surprisingly good..." mumbled Diana, answering her own question as she stared at the huge piece of meat, larger than a human, which was currently being roasted over fire.

In Diana's hand, on a stick, stood a smaller piece of meat, which Diana had taken a large bite out of.

Contrary to Diana's original expectations, this meat was tasty, far tastier than any sort of steaks Diana had eaten in her previous life, even with her not very good cooking.

A moment later, Diana began rapidly devouring the human torso sized piece of meat in her hands, eating it in under a minute.

A few moments after that, Diana then picked up the huge log of meat in front of her, before beginning to eat it.

In just under five minutes, Diana had devoured the hunk of meat, surprising even Diana herself.

'It looks as though my appetite's increased by quite a bit,' thought Diana as she rose from the ground to lightly stretch before suddenly freezing.

At this moment, Diana suddenly discovered something very interesting.

The mountain that seemed to have been pressing her down had decreased in size, but even so Diana did not have any more strength to work with, as her the strength in her body was seemingly lowered by an inexplicable force.

In just a few moments, a rather crazy theory popped up in Diana's mind.

Diana was being assimilated, her strength, which was beyond the natural level of the place she was currently in, was being brought down to more normal levels.

At the moment, Diana began closely examining her body, discovering nothing of interest other than the fact that she had lost some of her strength.

But after around ten minutes of searching, Diana discovered something very interesting.

Back in her previous world, Diana's body, which had received the power of the Red Stone of Aja, was perfect, and could not improve in strength through exercise.

Right now, though, Diana seemed to not be that perfect, meaning that she still had potential to squeeze out of her body.

"Maybe I should begin working out a bit, just to test things..." mumbled Diana as she fell into thought.

A/N: The first person that correctly guesses Diana's current location(World), will be able to ask any question regarding the story

If that person manages to guess the general region, they can ask a second one.

Good Luck!
