Family Issues III

The team makes their way into a colorful rave happening at an abandoned warehouse where Blackstar bursts onto the dance floor, "Step aside earthlings! The queen of the galaxy has arrived!" As Raven turns around to watch Starfire bumble through the dance floor.

"Excuse me. Ouch! You really should apologize after stepping on someone's foot." Starfire chastises several partygoers much to Raven's disappointment.

"Now, don't tell me you big, tough superheroes are afraid of a little dancing?" Blackfire jokingly goads the team.

"Bet you Cyborg can do the 'Robot.'" Beast Boy says beginning to dance the robot, before the rest join in.

"This party is pointless." Raven broods aloud, and as if responding to her summons, an emo boy emerges from the shadows.

"Everything's pointless. Wanna go talk about it?" He says as Raven shrugs and follows.

Two partygoers stop to speak with the lone Starfire, "Hey, hot alien girl, you digging the scene?"'

"I... Did not know we were supposed to bring shovels." Starfire replies in confusion as she is laughed away from the party before finding herself alone on the roof of the warehouse.

The two armored figures stare at the screen of their vessel revealing an image of the Earth, "The girl may have defeated one probe, but she will not fare so well against three." Sending all three remaining probes to the planet below.

"Perhaps I do not belong here after all," Starfire says mopingly.

"Of course you don't. You belong down there, having fun with the rest of us. What's wrong?" Robin says opening the door to the warehouse roof and walking to Starfire.

"Nothing is wrong. Everything is wonderful. The pounding music and blinding lights are quite enjoyable." Starfire says with a forced smile before continuing, "Everything is not wonderful. I am happy to see her, but Blackfire rules the video games... And she is able to share very depressing poems, and she knows the cool moves..." Looking to Robin before huffing and mumbling, "And she always knows when people are not talking about shovels. And I am nothing like her."

"No, you're not. And I think-" Robin begins to say before Blackfire interrupts.

"How do I look?" Blackfire says, flying through an open roof window with a neon pink wig.

"Pink. Look, can you give us a minute here?" Robin replies with slight exasperation as a new song begins to play and she drags Robin back to the party.

"Oh, I love this song!" Blackfire exclaims as the two disappear and Starfire is left alone and sighs dejectedly.

As she does a mysterious figure emerges from the shadow revealing itself to be Ditto in the form of Blackfire who wraps her arms around Starfire in a sisterly hug before shifting into Starfire, and asking "What's wrong friend Starfire? You seem sad..."

"Oh friend Ditto, I am very sad! I am unsure what to do. The team seems to be liking Blackfire more and more while I keep messing up." Starfire cries out while returning Ditto's hug.

"Do not worry, there is nothing your sister could do to replace you on the team." Ditto says reassuringly, calming down Starfire.

"Thank you, that means very much, friend Ditto." Starfire sniffles as a strange light flashes from a sign on the warehouse roof before another squid creature emerges from behind it and begins to attack the two.

Down below, Beast Boy notices the shadows of Starfire and Ditto fighting the creature before calling out, "Cy! Star and Double T's in trouble!"

Before one of the squid creatures pull Beast Boy into the shadows while another tackles Cyborg, knocking him to the side.

Off in an abandoned corner of a warehouse Raven and the Emo Boy are talking and he asks, "So, you like show tunes?"

Before one of the squid creatures drags Beast Boy past them, causing the Emo Boy to run away in terror. As Raven reluctantly flies into action in order to save Beast Boy by throwing several crates at the squid creature to knock Beast Boy free.

It is then that the third squid creature crashes through the skylight with Ditto and Starfire in quick pursuit. Knocking the squid creature back as Beast Boy morphs into a tiger to scratch at its armored top. It is then that all three suits break away from their combatants to chase after Starfire, only temporarily halted by Cyborg who is then sent flying by a surprise spin attack.

Of in a side stairwell Blackfire and Robin are talking.

"Where are you going? Stay and talk to me." Blackfire playfully pouts while pulling on Robin's arm.

"Look, I just want to make sure that Starfire's okay." Robin explains, pulling his arm from Blackfire's grasp, right as Cyborg comes flying in through a wall in the stairwell.

"What's going on?!" Robin asks in shock as he runs to check on Cyborg.

Rubbing his head, Cyborg replies, "Remember that thing that attacked Star? It had friends."

Cyborg rushes back into the fight with Robin following quickly behind, only to realize that Blackfire is remaining nonchalantly in the stairwell prompting him to ask, "Didn't you hear him? Your sister needs help."

"Right. Of course." Blackfire says pulling off her wig and following Robin.

Meanwhile, Starfire is knocked through the wall of the warehouse and into a solid dumpster in which the squid creatures quickly trap her in before starting to fly away.

And just as they seem to be almost escaping, Robin throws a boomerang that slices off two of the tentacles the squid creature carrying the dumpster causing it to fall from the sky.

"Teen Titans, Go!" Beast Boy, Cyborg, Ditto, Raven, and Robin shout as Blakfire flies through the newest opening in the warehouse before she single-handedly dispatches the three squid creatures with precise purple eye laser beams to several almost imperceptible weak points in their design. Causing them to explode into hundreds of pieces.

"Oh, yeah! Good times!" Cyborg cheers.

"Nice shooting, Tex." Beast Boy praises.

"Very nice." Raven compliments with an almost noticeable smile.

"A most impressive job." Ditto congratulates while still in Starfire's form.

"How did you know where to hit them?" Robin questions in slight disbelief.

"Lucky guess?" Blackfire replies with a shrug.

"We could use luck like that. Maybe you ought to join the team?" Cyborg suggests.

"Me? A Teen Titan?" Blackfire says in apparent surprise as Starfire lifts the trashcan lid to reveal a banana peel on her head as she gasps.
