Did He Cry?

*AUTHOR'S POV*

The sun shines brightly in the sky. The temperature is piping, leaves show signs of withering, and the tiny substances on the soil glitter under the sunlight.

At this kind of time, everyone should be working, studying, playing, or engaging in various activities. It is not the best time to sleep for a normal human.

However, for someone like Samantha, the day is their best sleeping time. It will prevent her from too much exposure to the sun, which causes unhealthy skin. Somehow, she is conscious of her looks. She hates ragged skin.

Samantha's room is moonish, though. Her curtains are thickset. Sunrays are unable to shine through.

Samantha sleeps calmly. She has been sleeping for almost an hour, and she has not moved since the moment she laid down. She resembles Sleeping Beauty who needed true love to wake her up.

On the contrary, Morgan is wide awake. He can't sleep, he can't move. He can't do anything. He is like a living snowman, frozen on the side. He wants to sleep but, drowse fails to visit his eyes. Only unbearable coldness from the aircon squeezes inside his blotch.

Everything for him right now was agonizing. He despises Samantha and brutally kills her on the head countless times. If only he could, this vampire would no longer have the chance to wander at night.

"God, why did you do this to me? Is a tough life not enough? Why did you send me to her?" Morgan questions God in his head. "I don't deserve this."

Morgan often reminds himself not to cry whenever there is a problem because he believes it won't change everything. But after being forced to marry a monster and being trapped in her powerful and mortific grasp, he can no longer hold back his emotions. Tears streamed down from his eyes.

He needs to cry as this is his only way to vent out the chaotic emotions that are swallowing him, otherwise, his heart will explode.

"No. I can't lose hope. As long as I'm alive, I have plenty of chances to escape. But will I be able to escape? How is my family now? Are they fine? Ashley? She must be heartbroken. And my brother— oh!"

Morgan sobbed in silence, remembering his brother. The surgery will surely be postponed since his parents have nothing but themselves.

Morgan is helpless. He weeps the whole day until he snoozes off.

At last, Samantha's soul came around. Cock-eyed, she peeked in the direction of the window to inquire about the time outside. Her vision penetrates through the curtain and perceives the darkness that is now covering the entire surroundings.

"Sigh, it's night again. I want to sleep more." She groans. She nonchalantly pats her lips as yawns escape her mouth. Laziness was all over her face. "Fine, let me have a few more minutes of nap."

Samantha closes her eyes again, without her making the effort. Her heavy eyelids shut themselves.

Samantha turns over to the other side as she extends her arm to scrabble a pillow that she can pull for a hug, and her hand set down on a sturdy thing. "Wait? Why is it hard?"

Frowning, she continues to explore it, softly wringing whatever her hand touches. Until…. Her hand settles on something bulging. She holds it for a while, fiddling at it as she likes the warmth evaporating from it. It gives her a pleasant feeling that she can't explain.

She fondles it until that bulge tightens and expands as if it regains its life and makes a slight jerking movement from time to time.

Samantha feels warmth trailing from her hand to her body, and she starts to have the desire to want more.

Suddenly, she hears a heavy moan next to her. And given her sharp senses, there's no way she can't catch the sound.

She pays attention to the noise and, once again, moans and heavy breathing enters her ears.

Like a typical normal girl who has just come to a realization, Samantha screams as she bolts up into a sitting position. She remembered that she had brought a guy named Morgan into her room. And that recollection serves her as a sadistic wake-up call. The sleepiness that was stubbornly clinging to her entire system had been washed away completely.

Samantha slaps her head as she grunts. "What have I done? It wasn't included in my plan. Grr, that's– Fuck! I'm lost for words. No, I lost control of myself. And it is because of this foo—"

With her hand suspended in the air, Samantha whirls around to offer Morgan a wake-up slap, but that intention is instantly discarded when she notices tears flowing from his shut eyes.

"Did he cry?" Samantha asked herself as if it was corking, disbelief sparkled on her beautiful face. "So he broke down so easily. So weak. Not fun."

Her earlobes twitch when Samantha notices that Morgan's lips are constantly moving, murmuring something. So she listened to it.

"Ma, Ma, I'm… I'm sorry. I'm useless. Please, don't… don't leave me. I'll work hard. Just… just don't leave me." Morgan murmured indistinctively.

She sighs as she shakes her head upon hearing that.

Samantha snaps a sound in the air using her fingers and Morgan instantly turns to his side. He subconsciously reaches out for a pillow, and unintentionally grabs her arm instead, trapping her in his yearning arms.

That caught Samantha off guard, and other than letting out a surprised scream, she flopped back on the bed.

He nuzzled his face at the crook of her neck.

Samantha suddenly feels strange about her body's reaction. Her body is utterly cold, from the outside to the inside, as if a living freezer. However, being confined in his sultry arms, she accidentally grasps a desire for touch. His touch.

As a vampire, she doesn't have a thing called 'heat', a powerful feeling that draws two individuals for irresistible and intense lovemaking.

A vampire can only feel the heat during the Red Moon. It's the mating season for vampires, which only occurs thrice a year.

Samantha, was not familiar with this kind of feeling because, ever since, she had never felt the need for a man's touch.

Samantha panics for the first time, which is very out of her character, she fears nothing, even death. However, she couldn't deny the fact that Morgan had just awakened an unknown desire in her body.

The reaction inside her is neither painful nor a threat to her well-being. But Samantha has no clue of what is going on inside her, so she can't help but get perturbed.

"No!" Samantha tossed his arm away and immediately cringed her way off the bed. She annoyingly pointed a finger at Morgan, who was sleeping until now. "No way! No way! That's sleazy! What was that earlier? You- you must have done something to me while I was asleep! I know it, you're such an ungrateful man. I should have let you marry that harlot— Oh wait. Something is wrong with what I just said." She bit her finger as she recollected her words. She frowned, confused. "It's me who's controlling him. So how come? Auh!! I DON'T KNOW!!"

Scratching her hair, Samantha runs to the bathroom and takes a frigid shower.
