Chapter 1: The Promise

Marty's POV

"Kuyaaaaaaaaaaa!!! let's play!!." pag aanyaya ni Randi.

"Ok let's go to the field let's play soccer." sagot ko sa kaniya.

Randi is an 8 year old girl di sya sanay sa mga larong pambabae, she always wants to play with me and my old toys I'm 8 years older than her. Hindi ako yung Kuyang ipaglalaban ang kapatid nya instead I teach her how to fight so she won't rely on someone when she grows up. When she's in trouble I let her resolve it by herself.

"Kuya I'll kick the ball first!" pasigaw niyang sabi.

"OK do it!" I replied

I was not able to catch the ball dahil napakataas ng pagkakasipa nya. The went straight to our neighbor's window, pinuntahan namin ang bahay then I saw the shattered glass on their window.

"Hala! Randi you broke their glass window." saad ko sa kanya, but she doesn't look nervous at all.

Then a girl came out dala dala ang bola namin.

"Sinong may gawa nito?" she asked with a scary expression.

"My younger sister did!" I shouted then ran away laughing. I looked back and saw the girl pinching my sister's face. I went there and watched them.

"Wow you're so cute. What's your name?" The girl said

"I-I'm R-Randi M-Moore. I'm sorry about your window" she answered with an innocent voice.

"Oh that's OK, by the way I'm Lori you can call me ate Lori." saad ng babae bagong lipat pala sila sa lugar namin ang magkatabi lang ang mga bahay namin.

"But is it okay if I call you only Lori?" Patanong na sabi ni Randi

"Sure. If that's what you want."

Randi's POV

"Woooowwww she's so beautiful!" sabi ko sa sarili

I am still 8 years old I have no idea about love but I find Lori very very attractive. I looked up to her years passed we became friends my family and Lori's family.

(2 years later)

Lori's POV

"Lori you know what? My dad said that I should pick my lover carefully the one whom I love the most." I was shocked when the little girl beside me said those to me.

"W-What? Your dad shouldn't tell you these kinds of things at your age." sagot ko sa sinabi nya

"Ok lang naman eh... sabi pa nga nya dapat yung piliin ko yung mag aalaga sa akin at magpapahalaga sa akin" saad nya with such an innocent face.

"HAHAHAHAHA! You'll find that person soon Randi" Sabi ko sa kanya. She looked down and replied

"I already have:)"

"May I know who?" I asked 'coz wtf? a 10 year old had choose the person that she will love.

"Edi ikaw!" I was shocked sa sinagot nya the hell a kid likes me I'm 17 and she's 10 there's a 7 year gap.

"B-But I-I am older than you way older" I replied then she smiled

"Like my dad said age was never the one of the bases of love, he also said that I must never let go of the person I love, but... I need a ring to seal my promise I can't afford a ring at the moment so..." Pumulot sha ng damo at ginawang singsing.

"so here... when I grow up I will become your girlfriend Lori" After what she said my face turned red

"If you grow up I'll be your girlfriend" I replied she smirked and hugged me.

"Promise?"

"I promise." I replied then hinatid ko na sha pa uwi sa kanila.

Randi's POV

After Lori sent me home I rushed to my room and wrote a plan.

"To Lori" I named the drawer

- snacks for Lori - 100

- gift for Lori - 200

"So... I have to save 300 pesos" i said to myself then I suddenly heard my mom's voice calling me from downstairs.

"Randii! Nori's here she wants to see you." she shouted. By the way Nori is Lori's younger sister she is 3 years older than me and treats me nicely.

"Randi sumamaka samin bukas!!" saad niya then I replied

"Saan ba tayo pupunta?"

"Ihahatid natin si ate Lori sa airport" She replied I was shocked Lori's leaving tomorrow?

"OK I'll come, sundoin mo ko rito ha?" saad ko then she left.

Kinabukasan I woke up early nag handa, naligo ng maaga at nag antay kay Nori. When I got outside I saw Lori she was carrying her suitcase. Lumapit sha sa akin...

"Hey... your gonna send me off?" tanong nya I looked at her and said.

"Of course I will send my future girlfriend to the airport!" I replied and then smiled.

Nakarating na kami sa airport. Nag paalam na si Lori sa mga magulang nya, nagpaalam na sha sa mga kapatid nya at nagpaalam na sha sa lola nya, but I just stood there. Then lumapit sha sa akin.

"When I get back here you will be a grown up. Don't forget your promise. I'll be back." Sabi nya sa akin with a sad face. She started walking.

"I wont forget my Promise you can count on that." I replied then she turned her head and smiled. I am still 10 years old but I'm serious and mature because of my brother's teaching.

"I'll wait for your return I promise."
