Chapter 6: Training on Mana control

[ Congratulations master, you have finished finished the task, you will be rewarded with 25,000 Exp, 25,000 Kp, 25 gold coin, and an Electric dagger( rare ). ] 

[ The dagger had been placed in your space ring. ]

[ You have leveled up. ] 

Ryo put back the dagger to its sheath after wiping the blood off it, and walked towards the deer corpse. He knelt down and placed his hand on the deer corpse, both the corpse and deer head disappeared and placed inside the space ring to be field dressed later. 

Ryo returned to his makeshift camp that was a cave, on a cliff, a few meters above the ground, with a content smile after finally completing a week long task and gaining a new rare dagger. 

Ryo started hopping on the rocks that was sticking out on the cliff side to get to the cave, he found this cave when a level 7 bird stole the fish he catch, enraged by this he started chasing the bird and it lead him to it's nest inside a cliff cave, he killed the bird cocked it and eat it, even though he lost his fish at least he caught a big dinner and gained a temporary camp. 

" Hauf~, home sweet home. '' Ryo took the whole corpse of the deer out the space ring and laid it on the floor, he started dressing the deer, taking off the hide, meat, and antlers, the guts were placed to the side to be used for bait to lure out the monster, so that Ryo can kill it while the monster is being distracted. 

After that, he made two separate fires, one was for cooking the deer meat, the other was for smoking the excess deer meat to last longer inside the space ring. 

Ryo grabbed a large clean leaf to act as a makeshift plate, he put the deer meat on the leaf and used his dagger to cut the meat into smaller beats. 

" Mmmm~, dang, thank goodness I'm a good cook or else I'll eat something that's raw or I'll just starve to death. " Ryo was happily munching away the deer meat. 

After eating, he was sitting on the rock to rest and digest the food he ate, he looked beside him observing the large sealed door. 

The cave that he was staying at, was not any ordinary cave's, it was actually an entrance to a dungeon but it seems to be closed or sealed for a while now.

The system said that the dungeon either had run out of loot or it was a new dungeon, if it was the latter one, then he was in luck because a newly made dungeon was both easy to finish and have great loot because it's still in the adjusting phase. 

Ryo also asked how a dungeon was made, there were two ways, one was if this cave was extended before and multiple groups of monsters gathered here to hunt, the Mana and energy of the monsters gathering here will attract the entity that was making the dungeon, thus creating a dungeon. The second was, it just spawned here by the same entity dungeon maker. 

Ryo didn't investigate this subject further, he raised his open hand and summoned the Electric dagger. When the dagger came out of the ring, Ryo was surprised and didn't expect that the dagger was this thin. 

The dagger that came out of the space ring was a pointed narrow dagger, wooden handle that has rubber-like properties to insulate the electrical current, and a slightly curved crossguard. 

At first glance it doesn't look much, but looks can be deceiving so he used appraisal on it, and the stats didn't disappoint Ryo.

Just forcefully flow your Mana to activate it and solidify the electric current, but be careful because it might also electrocute you if you don't have enough Mana control. Even though its a dagger, if you have excellent Mana control you can extend it longer from the original size. }

Point the dagger at the target to hit and electrocute the target, there's a 10% stun rate, it will add 5 electric damage the longer the target is being electrocuted, max 50 stacks. } 

" So, this dagger can become a sword huh. " Ryo stood up, grabbed the deer hide and went down the cliff to test out his new dagger. 

Ryu put the deer hide on a rock exposed to sunlight to dry the moisture out of the hide so that it won't damage the quality of the hide. 

" Okay, now that that's done, let's find something to test this dagger. " Ryo looked at a tree that seemed about the right size. 

He grabbed the Electric dagger out of the space ring and unsheathed it, he followed the instructions of forcing the Mana into the dagger and an eruption of electric wave covered the dagger and extended it a bit. 

The dagger looked like a short double edge sword, Ryo walked towards the tree and attempted to cut it, he swung the dagger but the blade only went past it and only sizzled the bark of the tree living only a slight burn mark. 

" Huh?!Why didn't it work, this will only tickle my opponent. " Ryo sighed in frustration and scratch his head. 

[ That's because you didn't add the appropriate amount of Mana in the blade, master. ] 

" Didn't add enough? " 

[ Yes, you only added 1% of Mana instead of 5. That's why it's weak and looked transparent. ] 

 " Oh~, so I'll just add more then? " 

[ Yes. ] 

Ryo concentrated like he didn't concentrate before, the electric blade became less transparent but had a wavy blade, he was not the best at Mana control so it affected the shape of the blade, but he tried his best. 

He swung his blade and cutter the tree halfway through, after the swing Ryo lost control of his Mana and it ended up exploding and electrocuted his hand. 

" Augh! Damn that hurts, it looks like I lost control there. " Ryo said as he checked his slightly burnt and numb hand. 

[ Master, I must advise that you can increase your Mana control by adding stat points to intelligence, which I remind you that you have 140 stat points still remaining. ] 

Ryo was surprised that he stacked this much stat points, he stopped adding stat points when he already reached lvl: 15 since he can already one shot most of the monsters around the area.

This skill can rapidly slash an enemy 10 times dealing 500 damage in total plus 10 bleed damage on each wounds dealt. } 

{ Rapid stab lvl: 10( max ) 

Mp cost: 10 Mp 

Damage: 60 damage each stabs, +10 bleed damage, and +40 critical damage. 

This skill can rapidly stab an enemy 10 times dealing 600 damage but if you can hit a fatal spot each time damage dealt in total will be 1,000, and plus 10 bleed damage on each wounds dealt. } 

{ Skinning lvl: 8 

This skill is used to remove skin of animals like hide and fur carefully. }

{ Basic hand to hand combat lvl: 10( max ) 

This skill adds +50 on strength and agility if you don't use any weapon in fighting. Fighting skills can be unlocked if you advance. } 

{ Cooking lvl: 6 

This skill is used, well, to cook food much more tasty. }

" Woah! I'm that strong! Hahahaha! " Ryo was happy that he was already this strong in just a span of a week. 

[ Master, you still need to add the stat points. ] 

" Oh, yeah yeah, I'll add it now. " Ryo reached his finger towards the intelligence stat but he stopped and retracted his finger. 

" Wait, if I add a stat point on intelligence, wouldn't it only increase my Mana and give just a little control over it, therefore it will just be harder for me to control my Mana. " Ryo said as he looked at the stats in front of him.  

[ Correct! ] 

[ Sorry master, I was just testing your actual intelligence, but you were smarter than I thought, hehe. ] The system giggled like a little girl got caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar. 

Seriously, the system has been acting strange since he began growing stronger, but he let it slide. 

" Huf, of course I'm smart." Ryo said praising himself. 

[ For not falling for the systems trick, you've been rewarded with a rare mystery box. ] 

A weird looking box appeared on Ryo's hand. Its design looks like a silver box with weird patterns. Ryo examined the box carefully but found nothing. 

" Ummm, how should I open this? " Ryo asked while still trying to find an opening. 

[ You, open it by using Mana control. ] 

Ryo stopped looking for the opening and looked at the system like it was stupid. 

" Have you seen my Mana control? " 

[ Yes, it's horrible, that's why this box can help you get better at it, look at a side that have circular pattern, that's the base it should be facing your palm, when you flow your Mana into it you'll have to guide it in the right line and lift a pin, there are multiple pins there and if you fail you'll have to go back to the beginning. ] 

Ryo followed the instructions of the system and started to try opening the box, at first he thought it was just easy and just flooded the box with his Mana but he later found out that he needed to thread his Mana inside a mini, mini hole.
