CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

MIRABEL'S POV

Before I could manage to gather words to speak, my tablet started ringing out loud with notifications upon notifications.

Tearing my eyes away from Vincent, I stared at the phone at first with little interest but was soon drawn in when I figured out what it is about.

Michelle that bitch! She had revealed that everything circulating on the net is true, and aside from that, evidence that all the deeds she did, were forced upon her by her previous agency, and on top of that, former models who had withdrawn from the industry after scandals like this all testified the same thing, with evidence!

Could it be that Vincent knew all along? Was that why he is so calm? But still I can't let that bitch get away with this.

"But Vincent-" My speech was cut off by a knock on the door, Vincent glanced at me briefly before asking whoever was behind the door to come in, and behold it was Michelle.

"Boss, everything has been done according to your request." She stated bowing her head slightly as I fumed with anger, so it was Vincent that ruined my effort indeed, i glanced at Michelle then at Vincent, one day she'll be gone, I'll make sure of that.

With that I turned around and left planning to head home, Dad is a man that took action once he spoke and yet, Phoebe is alive and well, something must have happened.

BACK AT THE KINDERGARTEN.

JASON POV

I sighed when I got into my class and sat down looking at the other kids running around and playing about.

Nothing of my interest is here, I just felt like going home, how could mom betray me like that and enroll me into school.

"Hey newbie, aren't you going to join us?" An annoying voice interrupted my thoughts, I just raised my head and glanced at the little girl talking.

She looked taller than the rest of the kids in the class, "Bozo I'm talking to you." She said using her finger to push my head backwards.

"What are you doing Camilla?" I heard another girl voice ask harshly before I could retaliate, I turned to see a girl holding onto her backpack tightly, her brown hair was tied into two pigtails, and she had big brown doey eyes.

Something about her reminded me of mom and I tried to see if there was any younger relative mom had, but if my memories serve me correctly, there is none.

"Stay out of this Annabelle or I beat you and throw you into the trash can." She said clearly using her height as an advantage, "Now Bozo, hand me over your money." She faced me, she probably thought I was an easy target for her to oppress.

"Stop being a bully, cause you senior us all, I'll report you to my father." Annabelle said rushing over to my side trying to protect me, which warmed my heart, "Oh really?" Camila snorted and shoved Anna away, and for some reason I got pissed.

"Instead of wasting time bullying people, why not study hard and meet your age mates that left you behind, you fucking retard!" I yelled out without thinking, the first seconds, the second seconds, the third seconds, Camilla burst into tears running out of the classroom, and with that Anna whom was on the floor burst into laughter.

"Hey, I'm Annabelle Dixon, nice to meet you!" She greeted with a toothy smile, "I'm Jason." I introduced simply.

Turned out Anna and I were seatmates, although she talked non stop, compared to other kids she seemed smart.

After a hellish day of staying in that damn classroom, listening to the teachings, it was finally time to go home.

I thought I'll be the only one to stay behind as usual since mom always picked me up late, but Anna too was waiting for her parents to come pick her up.

When she saw me, she waved vigorously coming over to seat down beside me, "Who is coming to pick you up?" She inquired with pure curiosity in her voice, "My mom." I blurted out totally forgetting what mom had told me, but Anna just felt safe to be around with.

"Oh? Your mom." Anna echoed with sadness in her voice, I wanted to ask what was wrong but restrained myself not to do so, and after a moment of silence she spoke, "is your mother nice?" She asked with a tinge of longing in her voice, making me look at her curiously, what is a young girl like her going through to make her utter such words.
