Jason who wanted to ask his mother what is wrong with her leg, decided to put it on hold since his sister wanted to speak.
As Anna spoke a weird thought suddenly crossed his mind, if he had to choose one out of his sister and his mother, whom will he choose?
Well, Anna isn't his blood sister so he thinks he will choose his mom, she birthed him after all, and took care of him all these years, so of course he'll choose her.
"She said will you treat her the way her mama did." Jason repeated when he noticed that Ariel did not catch what Anna said.
The question is a tricky one, after all, a mother is a mother no matter what, and the fact they thought Mirabel maltreats Anna is just an assumption that isn't confirmed since the girl isn't saying anything about it.
