CHAPTER ELEVEN

ARIEL'S POV

I hurriedly checked in praying in my heart that Mirabel would be gone by the time I turned to go into my room.

"Jason boy, mommy is done, we can go now." I called out to my son who seem lost in thoughts, he heard me and turned around giving me a smile that warmed my heart before coming over to meet me and wrapping his hands with mine.

I tried looking for a bottle of water with my free hand but in the end I bumped into someone.

"Watch where you're going?!" A familiar voice shrieked and God did she sound like a broken record, "I'm sorry." I immediately apologized and started walking off not wanting any problems to occur, it was too early to start a beef.

"Wait a minute, do you know how this dress cost?! Do you think you can just leave without any compensation." Mirabel huffed making pause my footsteps but before I could reply, Jason wiggled out of my hand and stepped in front of me.

"She already apologized what else do you want?" He asked coldly taking me by surprise, how can I have such an adorable son as this, I should really kiss Vincent's sperm and my eggs for giving me such a wonderful child.

"Get the hell out of my way, did your mother not teach you, to not interrupt adults when they are talking." Mirabel raised her hands wanting to hit Jason and that was when I lost it.

I immediately grabbed her wrists before the slap could land holding them tight, "I will advice you not to do anything rash to the boy." I threatened in a cold voice, you know what I said about not starting a beef, well you all need to forget anything about that, "Let go you're hurting me." Mirabel cried out in pain trying and I immediately did, causing her to fall on her butt which looked hilarious by the way, "Now if you'll excuse us." I said walking over her fallen body, such a bitch for trying to hit a five year old boy.

I could tolerate anything against me but no one should dare try harm my son or they are going to get it tenfold.

After we got to our suite, the first thing I did was to take Jason's mask off, shower him then while I was drying his body I decided it is the right time to speak my mind.

"Jason, mommy knows you love her a lot but what happened out there should not happen again, what if I was slow and she hurt you, I would never forgive myself for being the reason you got hurt." I said, I loved him for trying to protect me but it was dangerous especially if he was going up against a sneaky opponent like Mirabel, it wasn't good, who knew if she had other plans, but I'm quite surprised that she attacked directly and didn't go with her usual white lotus attack scheme.

"Okay mummy." He said in a low voice, "Promise me?" I said just to be sure, " I promise you mommy, I won't do something like that again." Jason said out loud which made me feel reassured, I couldn't risk anything happening to him.

"Good boy." I said pecking his cheeks which caused him to giggle childishly making me to smile gentle, these moments were the ones I would cherish forever.

After the talk, I went to shower and by the time came back i met Jason with a cup of coffee and got chocolate on the table, "Did you order room service?" I asked feeling impressed, "Yes." He replied simply hiding his hands at his back.

"Why are you hiding your hands?" I asked finding it suspicious, "It's nothing mom, have anything of your choice." He hurriedly dismissed making me look at him suspiciously.

I pretended like I wanted to get a cup of the tray and I quickly grabbed his hands placing them before me, I was shocked beyond ways to describe it when I saw burn marks on his hands.

"You didn't order room service?!!" I yelled realizing what he had done, like what the hell was wrong with this boy, why does he-

"Mommy, don't cry, it's just hot water." Jason said in a panicky voice trying to clean my tears, I did not even realize I was crying that hard already.

I immediately stood up to the bathroom where the first aid kit was and removed an ointment from it, heading back to Jason, I bent down carefully applying the ointment on his hands.

"What did I just say about doing something dangerous? How did you even reach the counter and coffee maker?" I asked in a calm voice unable to picture his little body on the counter, "I used a sturdy stool." Jason replied as if to reassure me, "Still, see the burns in your hands." I pursed my lips trying to control the tears in my eyes.

"It will go after two or three days, I wanted to apologize to mummy for earlier, is mummy still angry?" Jason asked eagerly, "I was never angry to begin with, please don't try this anymore, if you need something just tell me, I would cook it immediately for you." I said admonishing him, I can't let him hurt himself in future when I'm not around.

"But I want to do things for mommy too." He pouted his lips causing me to feel bad, "Okay okay, this is what we'll do, anytime you feel like doing something for mommy, you tell me okay? So I will monitor you and help you with the harmful one's so you don't end up hurting yourself." I came up with a solution that will satisfy us both, since my baby no longer wants to be the baby he is.

That was true, his 6th birthday is coming up in the next eight months, maybe he is indeed growing up.

I drank both the coffee and hot chocolate happily leaving some chocolate to spare for Jason but he turned them down saying he is full from the food we ate along the way and is going to bed.

I went into the kitchen to drop the cups only to meet a hell of a mess, I felt my eyes twitch but I just sucked in a deep breath before proceeding with the cleaning.

By the time I was done I felt exhausted and immediately crashed on the couch falling asleep.

UNKNOWN POV

At midnight, Jason small body opened the room door to peek into the living area whether his mother was still awake and when he saw she was knocked out completely by the drug he had slipped into the coffee earlier, he closed the door back gently, opening one of his luggage and pulled out a laptop.

Jason sat on the bed with a serious expression on his face, sending a message which read 'i want you to ruin this man for me, his name is Zach Heroes, age : 38, Height:168 cm, weight: 50kg, Blood type :O-, Genotype: AS, he works as an airport security guard, make sure he doesn't get hired into any other business again, got it?' the tone of the message sounded like an authoritative boss ordering his subordinate.

'He messed with you sir?' another message popped out on the screen, 'No questions, just do it' was Jason reply.

'okay sir.' a rely came in again, followed by several messages that looked like business reports, while Jason would occasionally comment on it, 'Boss when are you going to show yourself.' the person from the other end asked, 'When the time is right.' Jason said exiting the chat app and going over to a search engine.

'Mirabel Mackenzie' he typed with absolute diligence, staring at the information that popped up with scrunity, he wanted to know everything about this woman and whatever she had done to his mother.

'Done.' a message popped up on the computer screen but Jason paid no heed to it as he was busy absorbing the information he saw on the screen, "This might be a little difficult." He said pursing his lips together when he saw a certain information that caught him of guard.
