Ariel Mackenzie is a tough and resilient woman who has always put her son, Jason, first, she could even go up the sky and pluck the moon for him. But when the assassin organization she works for demands the head of Jason's father, Vincent, Ariel is faced with a difficult decision, should she risk her future relationship her child, or save it by not completing the mission, which has dire consequences. Going back to her hometown did not only open up old wounds but it created new ones, secrets that were meant to be kept in the dark were brought to light, betrayals were made and and some relationships were broken.
"Are you alright?" Vincent asked rushing to Ariel's side to check if she had any injuries.
"I'm fine, and you?" Ariel asked with equal worry, he had just gone against a sharp shooter yet there seems not to be a wound or scratch on his body.
"I'm fine." Vincent replied in a soft voice filled with relief, tucking her strand of hair behind her ear.
After Ariel ran out of the car, he stayed put trying to determine where the shots were coming from, and probably because Target knew that someone else was still in the car, he kept on firing, leading Vincent directly to him.
He was at a roof top house not to far from the hotel.
It was hard to shoot him down, especially with a short range gun in his hands.
So he had taken the opportunity of timing, when he calculated the time Target was reloading and the shots died down, he moved closer to the building, not too close but to the extent that the gun could shoot him down.
