Ariel Mackenzie is a tough and resilient woman who has always put her son, Jason, first, she could even go up the sky and pluck the moon for him. But when the assassin organization she works for demands the head of Jason's father, Vincent, Ariel is faced with a difficult decision, should she risk her future relationship her child, or save it by not completing the mission, which has dire consequences. Going back to her hometown did not only open up old wounds but it created new ones, secrets that were meant to be kept in the dark were brought to light, betrayals were made and and some relationships were broken.
"What's with these killing these days?!" Ariel exclaimed while chewing on a red licorice as she scrolled through her phone.
"What's that?" Vincent asked although buried neck down into the stacks of files before him.
Since the children had gone to school, Ariel didn't want to stay in the same place with Mason considering his weird smile this morning, so she decided to come with Vincent to work.
"Oh. Don't mind me, do you job, you seem to have loads of work to do." Ariel said making a skirmish face as she stared at the files and then shuddered.
"It's no bother." Vincent said, the upper right corner of his lips going up slightly, he wished to lazy about to, when he is with her of course.
"No, focus, we don't want you staying overnight." Ariel stated then dragged the licorice, before continuing to scroll through her phone.
"Pumpkin come here." Vincent called on her but she didn't budge causing his face to darken a bit.
