Weird

Really?" Kain said and shifted his chair closer to her. "What do you know?"

"You will have to carry me if you don't mind" Esmeralda said.

"Not at all" Kain replied and carried Esmeralda in his arms. 

'Towards the shelf" she said and Kain obliged. She searched through the shelf and produced the book she had lent from the library and failed to return.

"I am meant to show my sisters this but I don't think I would be able to since its due returning tomorrow." She said and Kain took her back to a couch where she sat down and opened the book. Kain sat beside her and she turned to the exact pages that had revealed the truth to her. She handed the book over to Kain and was silently while Kain read the book she had given. 

After few minutes of deafening silence; Kain closed the book and threw back his head in queer laughter which left Esmeralda taken aback.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked.
