Watching the sunsets

Kain drove the car towards a lonely road that led towards the mountain.

"Don't tell me…" Esmeralda started.

"Yep, I am following the mountain path" Kain said with a smirk on his face.

"Wipe that damn smirk off your face. That place had been banned for all vehicles due to the high accident rates it causes for all types of vehicles, and you are thinking of taking that same road?" Esmeralda said startled.

"Don't tell me you are scared of a common road? Besides, the place have turned out to be my secret spot for thinking and the views from there… you need to see it" Kain said and accelerated.

Esmeralda swallowed. She was afraid but knowing the kind of person Kain was, she knew he would taunt her with the fact that she was afraid of taking the road; or rather, she thought he will. So, she kept her fears to herself and swallowed them, keeping quiet while Kain drove on.
