Taming Death.

Book 2 is underway! In the fractured elven realm of Elysium, five clans: High, Sun, Dark, Moon, and Forest elves. They live divided by centuries old prejudice and scars from a devastating civil war. Once united, the clans now linger in distrust, their lands and cultures isolated. As a dark and ancient evil begins to stir, threatening both Etherworld, the realm of the living, and Netherworld, the land of the dead, the fragile balance between life and death is on the brink of collapse. To prevent the realm’s descent into chaos, an unprecedented marriage is arranged between the two most powerful clans. Orion, the first female high elf born in over a millennium and the physical embodiment of Nether, the god of death, is forced to wed Theo, the fiery sun elf prince tied to Ether, the god of life. Their union is a political maneuver to bridge the divide between their peoples, but it quickly becomes clear that their destiny is far greater than a mere treaty. Together, they are thrust into the heart of a prophecy that foretells the unification or destruction of Elysium. As unrest brews among the clans, Orion and Theo embark on a perilous journey to unite the elves against the rising darkness. Their path takes them through glittering courts, ancient ruins, and shadowed forests as they unravel the secrets of the gods who created their world. Along the way, they recruit allies from each of the clans and face enemies who would see their union and the realm destroyed. Confronting their own fears, the weight of their lineage, and the volatile magic they wield, Orion and Theo must not only learn to trust each other but also embrace the duality of their powers, life and death, to stand against an unimaginable evil. This sweeping epic unfolds against a backdrop of high stakes and rich world-building. Political intrigue, action-packed battles, and a desperate struggle for unity drive the story forward as the clans grapple with their shared history and the choices that will determine their future. a new development pt 1

I'm not a virgin anymore.

That was so intense I didn't think I'd lose my virginity that way.

My thoughts were in a whirlwind mixed with so many feelings and emotions. It was so intoxicating. Nothing romantic about it. Just raw unadulterated need. I didn't know anything, or anyone could feel so good. Having him inside me set me on fire. I was burning. He undid me. Pulled me apart layer after layer. He laid me out bare and took me as he wanted.

Did I really want that?

Would it be my choice?

Looking up at him he was so beautiful. His face perfectly symmetrical.

And he was mine.

Looking at me he steals every breath before I let out. I'm so hot right now. My heart pounding. Sweaty. I need air.

And then he leans in and kisses me. It was so tender and soft. He slowly runs his finger through mine and then….

I could feel him.

Theo: I am I in your head?

Orion: are you in my head?

Theo: Yeah, I think am. I don't think

I'm talking, am I?

Orion: No your mouth isn't moving

Theo: Orion, I'm in your head right

now.

I pull my hand out of his.

Theo: yeah no, I'm still here

What the the f*ck?

"What the f*ck Orion, I've never heard of something like that happening to anyone, at least not without a spell." Theo said.

"We need to go and see my mom."

Orion and Theo leave the bed and head to the bathing chamber. They wash up and that's when he sees the blood on her.

"Holy shit you really are a virgin" Theo said

"Was." I corrected him.

"Did you think I was lying?" I said lifting a brow.

"No I just didn't really process what that meant when you said it. What that truly meant" Theo said the sadness in his voice "I'm sorry little bunny, your first time should have been magical not something like this." Gently tracing the outline of my face he brings me in closer to his chest.

"I'll do better"

I look at him "you can do better than that?"

"Oh, sweet bunny there is so much more I can do to you, but we have the rest of our lives for that. I won't let you go. You belong to me now."

And with that I gave in to my heart letting it silence my mind.

"I am yours" I said

"And I am yours" his words ending shivers down my spine.

Me and Theo morning seemed so natural. Like it they've always been doing this.

Marcy came in with clothing for Theo and a way to all knowing grin.

Shit. I thought to myself, I have to find Sera before the news does.

"You mother has asked to see you. She says she had a vision." Marcy says as she brushes my hair.

"What are you serious?"

"Yes, my child, she seemed distressed so I just you go to her as soon as your dressed."

Marcy continued "she also cancelled your studies the rest of the week."

Heck ya!

Marcy stripped my bed, she's gonna notice the blood.

Doesn't matter she's not dumb, the fact he was here in towel and she had clothes for him prepared means she knew already. Ugh so humiliating.

"I'm going to have my things brought over to your room, of course only if you're okay with that."

"Yeah, it'll save Marcy the extra errand of fetching you clothes every morning as I imagine I can't get rid of you now" I said standing on my tip toes to give him a kiss.

"Damn right"

We leave my room and head to the south quarters; my mothers office was there next to the library.

We get to doors identical to my fathers and knock.

"Come in"

Theo and I walk into her office and take a seat in her sitting area. The queens office was different from the kings. Her room had a lot of pink and silver and white. Can't tell by looking at her but she's a pink princess at heart.

My mother gets up and walks over taking a seat in the sitting area with us. Moments later one of her maids brings over coffee and tea, witH beautiful silver sugar and cream cups.

"I wasn't sure what you drank so I brought both for you. Orion drinks coffee and I drink tea." My mother said "please have some"

"What's up mom? Marcy said you wanted to talk." I said

Looking over to Theo she sighs realizing she's admitting to a deep family secret.

In our family tree all the women have visions. They're seers. But my mother, the queen is an exceptional seer with very clear visions. Except for me, I haven't had any visions.

She begins:

"I had a vision, there was darkness and a fog rolling over the lands. Poisoning everything it touches. Behind the fog were screams of unseen monsters. Blood flowing in front of them under the fog toward me. And then pushing against the fog there was light it looked like it was setting the fog on fire." She paused a moment "and then it changed showing me you are falling in the air reaching for him" glancing over to Theo. "You both stay just out of reach, but then you manifest some kind of, I don't know how to describe it, it was threads stretching

out from both of you connecting your marked hands." Rubbing her hands in her lap anxiously. My mother anxious? Weird. "And then I woke up and I was sitting at my vanity in the mirror, and it was frozen over in purple ice" she finished. There was a long moment of silence.

"What do you mean purple ice?" Theo said breaking the silence.

Looking over she said "I mean ice, ice so cold it burned my fingers touch" show casing the burn that was fading in her finger "and then in minutes it had evaporated into the air like it was never there"

"What does dad think? Are you planning to call a council meeting or a meeting with the Sisters?"

The sisters were witches, but they were no longer human, they were different from normal witches, which are human. Arcanic magic is from us, our god, Ether, the one who resides sleeping in the tree of life. Mimicking our long life spans and regeneration abilities. No where near that of an elf, but far superior to that of human. A witch could live an easy 200 years if she was a good practitioner. They often did the interpretations of a seer's vision. The magic is different with them than with us. It's apart of us in our blood in our land. And they pull the magic from the land. But the Sisters were special, they were the first. They stopped being

human a long time ago. They were something more now.

"I had your father and brother inform both yes." She said "while you were other wise disposed of" glancing between the two of us with a smirk "this morning, we

accomplished much and will have a meeting later this evening. Theo, would you

mind bringing your companions?"

Damn, does everyone in this house know I had sex this morning? It's only mid morning!

"Certainly, your grace." Theo responded respectfully.

"Mom about the connection you mentioned in your vision." I started "I think I know what it might be, or at least it has something to do with it."

"Theo and I can enter each others mind."

My mother actually dropped her jaw when I said that.

I laughed so hard "mom I've never seen you so shocked."

My mother shaking her head, "when did this start?"

"Ummm this morning" I looked at him and shrugged a bit. "After we did it, when we touched hands it was like we were pulled into the same head space sharing a single mind. And then when we let go he can enter my head and I can enter his."

Theo chimed in "we don't know how far the connection can stretch, but it can definitely be from different rooms."

"That's a rare bond to share." My mother took a deep breath, "would you both please attend the council meeting."

Now standing she walks over to her desk with a letter.
