--The Nydisian Kingdom, The Northern Territory, Valhalla--

Katherine looked through the window as she moved the curtains away, allowing the afternoon light into the cottage, "She should be back by now," she mumbled, anxiously glancing back at the hybrid laying on the bed.

Katherine jolted as warm fingers suddenly curled around her wrist, "There is still time," Lucian told. He didn't seem the slightest bit worried about his transformation, instead, he was focusing on her injured wrist.

Katherine turned to him astounded at his level of calmness, "It is almost sundown, in less than a few hours the effects of the moon will take its toll on you. Do you not feel any sense of urgency?"

"Urgency?" Lucian mused, the human in front of him genuinely looked terrified at the thought of being near him during his transformation. "At nightfall, if she does not return, I will leave into the woods while you remain here."
