Treasure of the old greed

It's been 16 years now since we went to search Aktor's family. Many things have happened, like Nina now knows how to read and write, I met many people and hunted many magical beasts. Relse has yet to wake up, but Morty said that it should be happening soon. Aktor has disappeared to who knows where and has been for over two years.

Nearn has gotten it's population back so that it's growing. Most of the other parts of the world have gotten back on their feet. Though I hear that one of the dragon lords is losing power somewhere. Just a rumor I heard. I will visit the continent of Arutos somewhere in the future and the reason I haven't gone there yet is because they are bit racist towards humans there.

During this time, I have asked Lex and Aktor many things about the world and one of them went like this.

- Lex?

- Yes?

- What happens if you go to the edge of the world?

- Depends what you mean by the edge of the world.

- The point where Norbul and origin meet.

- There is a gap between Norbul and origin like I told you. The place where demon realms reside. While the starts you see in the sky are just points where the magic comes from to Norbul, they actually don't exist in Norbul itself. They exist between the space of Norbul and origin, the same place the demon realms exist.

- What does that have to do with reaching the edge?

- You would need to go trough the space between first to reach the edge. The problem from traveling in that space is that nothing exists there but magic storms that travel through the system. They will inevitably make you lose consciousness and leave you floating in space. This travel is all while we assume that you can exist in the cold and airless space and travel over a lightyear to the edge.

- But is it possible to touch the edge?

- Assuming that you can stay conscious, yes you can touch the edge for a moment before the barrier will suck you in. The barrier was build to keep the power of origin out and not to keep anything inside. And at this point I assume you know what happens if you enter the origin.

- Remind me.

- Your mind wouldn't hold on to itself and it would end up shatered in origin. Not even gods can save you at that point. The body itself will just start floating there endlessly.

- That was very interesting. Thanks.

- Just make sure not to ask anything like this when I'm busy.

- Got it. Just one more thing.

- *Sigh* What is it?

- Has anyone actually reached the edge?

- I heard that one of Set's drones made it there and never returned. Other than that no, of course not.

- I see.

- I mean, they haven't even figured out how to go to space yet. Of course they have figured out how to make homunculi and enhance themselfs through enchantments, but the fact that the most used form of transportation is horses still is astonishing. Heck, we've been at it for over 50 000 years and you still haven't figured out how to use gunpowder properly, use lasers or use plasma! True, we wiped the slate clean just then to get rid of the first bunch, but still, 60 000 years ought to be enough of time!

- That is some information that I'm not sure I was supposed to hear. I haven't seen you ever this angry, well exept maybe when you found about Aktor's secret.

- Sorry. Just some pent up frustration that I have for the inteligent creatures of this world.

- You speak about inventions that haven't been made yet. Care to explain?

- Creation did lot of things in the start of this world. He figured out many functions to many things. He was someone who made something out of rocks and minerals. He even made this machine that... never mind. It's better to not talk about somethings that may never be created.

- I kind of want to know more about this.

- I refuse to answer. And you still have your memories as Soul with you, at least parts of it, that can tell you some things.

- I try and search there then.

- Good.

- And what is this about wiping the slate clean?

- You know, I heard a very interesting thing was figured out by one of my students.

- Don't change the subject.

- Something about casting spells with new kind of understanding.

- Are you serrious?

- I know right, even I haven't figured that way of casting spells.

- You are't going to tell me anything about the wipin the slate clean, are you?

- It's not necessary information.

- But I still want to know.

- Fine. Long story short, we made creatures too powerfull for other species to exist so we decided to nuke them. Some of them exist in a seperate dimension but most of them are now extinct.

- Nuke them? What the hell does that mean?

- Meaning we wiped them out of existance. No further questions. Dismissed.

He then teleports me to Lech't A Sol. Leaving me wonder what on earth was he talking about. Wiping multiple species out of the face of the earth. Because they were too powerfull?

And the conversation with Aktor went like this.

- So what's your secret you are keeping for us.

- ...

- Why can't you tell? I already know about you being Creation.

- ...

- ...

- ... Do you know what is facinating about memory with long living races? Most of their bodies are made so that they can remember many things. Far more things than humans or insect folk. But what happens when they live far longer than their bodies can take. What happens then?

- They just stop remembering newer things than older things?

- That's one of the ways. One other way is for their memories becoming more vague. Like you can remember a lesson that you learned from somewhere, but you lose the whole proses of how you learned that lesson from your memory. Or you can remember a person and their importance to you, but you can't recal what you specifically did with that person and what made them so important to you.

- But don't souls carry out some memories?

- They do, but you lose the ability to recal some memories when you are alive. Soul was so annoyed when she heard that people will forget important things over time, so she made souls to be able to recal even somethings that you have forgotten.

- So in afterlife they can be reminiscent about their past.

- Exactly.

- And what does that have to do with your secret? Do you have a memory issues?

- How do you think Lex is able to remember so much even when he's like a mortal now?

- You didn't... Okay, how does he do it?

- He places his memories in a pocket dimension that he only has access to and he puts his memories inside books and crystals for him to remember later. He can read those books and crystals even if he is not in the pocket dimension.

- And how do you know this?

- When we were drunk he told me so.

- So that's how.

- Right.

- And about your memory issue.

- I don't have one.

- Then why did you start talking about this stuff?

- Does everything that I talk about have to do something about my personal life?

- That is true, but... nevermind, I believe you.

- Good.

- ...

- Want to hear about some of my treasures I've created?

- Sure, why not.

- I created a treasure for each of the original powers. Each of those treasures had some aspect of the one they were created for. I used some part of their power with their permission.

- What are they?

- First is a cube of magecraft. It has the ability to cast any spell that is put in it repeatedly with minimal mana cost and quick casting speed. I gifted that to Magic long ago, but I'm not sure if he still has it.

- That sounds super powerfull.

- Of course it is. I made each of the treasures to be an ultimate gift to each of them. Then the second one is staff of destruction. It is quite self explanatory of what it does. It makes things disappear to nothingness just like that for equivalent mana cost. Nothing will remain of the targeted thing. Fun fact, the staff can actually turn in to a cane if the user wills it. Destruction didn't take the staff and let me keep it. I on the other hand, gave it to some lost civilisation, that eventually got destroyed by the staff itself. It seems to have created a will of it's own thanks to it's previous user. The staff now resides in Fafnir's treasury.

- That's one heck of a thing.

- True. Then there is the third one, the sword of time.

- Sword of time? You did one for Time as well?

- Of course I did. Even though we didn't see her often, she was definetly there. Now as for what it does. It has two major abilities. One allows you to hit a something that once was there and affect the future. For example, if your target standed in one spot one time, you can cut them as if they were hit at that time. The more time has passed, the more mana you would need to use. The second ability is to anchor yourself to a sertain time and you'd be able to come back to that time. No more than one anchor can be set, so once you set another anchor, the previous one disappears. Though the further the time is, the more mana you'd need to consume to use the anchor.

- That's powerfull. You said two main abilities. Are there more?

- One allows you to see to the past and future to some extent. Other gives you a better sense of time.

- Where is it now?

- It is in Fafnir's treasury.

- Again? How did Fafnir die if he had so powerfull weapons at his side?

- He was called the dragon lord of avarice. He was scared to use any of his treasures in case he would lose them.

- So if he would have used them.

- He would likely still be alive.

- So there are two more treasures left. Tell me more.

- The fourth is sword of souls. Soul was very angry at me when I made it a sword, but once I explained how it worked, she calmed down a bit. She never did use it though. In it's normal form, it doesn't have a blade, until you put some mana into it. Then a smokelike thing appears from the hilt and that is the blade. The blade can be as small as a knife and as long as a giant's greatsword. It has the ability to cut parts of the soul. If you will it, then it will not hurt anyone you don't want it to. It also can bring out the memories of the target if you put mana into it. It is hingly effective for ghosts. There are couple of more things it can do, but I can't remember. As far as I know, it was once was a holy relic, but then it was taken by Fafnir.

- That sounds like something I could use.

- You have portion of Soul's power's after all. Then to the fift. The sword of creation. It can create anything that is physical if you use enough mana to use it. It can also mold already existing object via use of mana. It isn't the sharpest of swords since it's main purpose was to be decorative. This treasure again is held in Fafnir's treasury. As far as I know, he considered it his createst treasure and used it to create his lair deep in the dwarven mountains of Toros.

- If Fafnir is already dead, what is stoping anyone from claiming his treasure. Do we know where exactly his lair is?

- We do know and the reason why it is unclaimed is because it is too dangerous. Fafnir was a paranoid dragon who wanted to protect his treasure at any cost, so he made many preparations for any who dared to try and steal it. Even his offspring weren't allowed to enter his lair. Many have tried to claim it, but none have succeeded. Even rulers have sent their armies to get the treasure, but they were only met by defeat. And even if you get to the chamber where the treasure is, it's likely cursed to be only accessed by Fafnir himself.

- He really didn't want anyone to take it. What if we can somehow convince the treasure that we are Fafnir?

- That might work, but as to how we would achieve it, I have no clue.

- Has Fafnir's soul existed this world already?

- Given that he was eaten by Stoor, his soul is mostly traped inside Stoor. Stoor has the kind of ability to even eat souls. And since only portion of Fafnir's soul is free from Stoor, he also can't move on to the circle. They say that part of him still haunts this world.

- So we need to find Stoor and convince him somehow to let us borrow Fafnir's soul so that we can replicate it.

- You say that like either of those things is easy. Sure, you have Soul's abilities, but only a portion of them. And talking to Stoor is very risky. If you annoy him enough, he might just eat you. He isn't called the dragon lord of gluttony for nothing.

- Where do you think Stoor is now?

- As far as I know, he's been sleeping in the swamps of Rostarus for over 400 years.

- He likes to sleep now does he?

- Very little else matters to him except sleeping and eating. You will have hard time to wake him up, since he has already become part of the swamp and isn't easily disturbed.

- We don't need to wake him up, just to find a way to connect to Fafnir's soul.

- You really have your ideas.

- Speaking of ideas, Lex has the ability to survive in Stoor's stomach. Maybe I should ask him.

- You have good luck with that, I ain't joining you.

- I don't plan on doing this any time soon. Just thinking that someday I should try it out.

- You haven't even thought how to get past Fafnir's labyrint.

- He has a labyrint?

- That is part of his defences, yes.

- Have you actually been in there?

- I was invited to join in one of the expeditions, but I turned them down in an instant.

- Why would you do that? Perhaps you would have made it.

- You think I can get past of a curse?

- Fair point. I still have lot to think before I try. How long has Fafnir's treasure been free to claim?

- For over 16 000 years.

- That's a long time.

- It is. Now to a different subject. What do you think we should eat today?

- Roasted meat with some salad.

- Then let's go find our food.

- Let's.

Then the time came for Relse's return. Me, Morty and Low all waited for Lex to summon him. Then there he was, standing in front of us. We shared a relief in our spines as he stood there. We greeted each other.

Relse: Finally, it was getting pretty annoying there.

Nor: Glad to know you are okay.

Low: Yeah grandfather.

Morty: While my estimets were a bit off, he still woke up after over 20 years or so, so I got something right.

Lex: It doesn't matter. He is here now and that's all that matters.

Relse: So then *stretches* How has it been here while I was gone?

We tell him about the golem war.

Relse: So you are telling me, that some crazy battles took place while I was gone. Am I getting this right?

Nor: Essentially.

Relse: *Breaths* Well...

He then proseeds to puch a big hole to the wall.

Relse: DAMMIT! Why did it have to be when I was asleep?!

Lex: Calm down brother. It's not like the world is free of conflict.

Relse: Still, I feel so angry about this! Gods I would have loved to be there!

Lex: Then why don't go fight one of the dragon lords or something for entertainment.

Relse: Good idea. I do just that.

He then jumps out via the open hole. We are left there standing for a bit.

Nor: You serriously just gave him a terrible idea.

Lex: While I meant it as a joke, this isn't the first time when he spend some frustration on the dragon lords.

Nor: Is it really okay?

Lex: Who knows. I just hope that he wont end up killing one of them this time.

Low: What do you mean this time?

Lex: He once killed one of the dragon lords not long after they began to roam. They died so quickly that we didn't get to make a statue from it in Atlas.

Morty: Wait, how do you know all of this?

Lex: I'm just that old.

Morty: Is that right?

Lex: I have talked with gods, so pretty old.

Morty: It's amazing how you have lived this long.

Lex: I know. It's facinating isn't it. Now back to the topic. What do you think will happen when we tell the truth about Aktor.

Nor: He is going to explode.

Lex: Likely. I prepare the area when the time comes.

Morty: What do you mean the truth?

Lex: Oh, I didn't mention? We three are brothers.

Morty: Even if you are that old?

Lex: They are some amazing people.

Morty: I'm just going to leave it there and pretend it makes sense.

Lex: That's a good boy. I will now proseed to fix the wall.

Later we heard that Relse went to fight Quetzalcoatl and made some serious damage there. I heard it was epic for those who got to witness it. They will probably tell stories later on to the next generations.

When Relse was done, he came back flying through the same wall and Lex told him about Aktor. It went something like this.

- I fixed it once already.

- What? You mean the wall? Don't worry about it.

- So how was your trip?

- It was fulfilling to get to fight that kid.

- Hopefully you've had your fill, since there is one more thing.

- There is? What is it?

- You remember Aktor?

- Of course I do. The human spear guy.

- Yeah he is our brother Creation.

- ...

- ...

- ... Are you serious?

- Deadly serious.

- ...

- ...

- You little FUCKER! Where is he?!

- Who knows?

- Tell me!

- As I said, I don't know.

- Dammit, I will find you one day and we are going to have a chat you sly fuck!

- Just remember to not level the place when you meet him.

- I promise to try.

- That's better than nothing, I guess. Are you going to destroy anything?

- I... I think I'm fine now.

- You took that surprisingly well.

- I have raged for a long time. Something like that is childs play.

- Yet you went to have a fight with one of your children.

- That just details. At least I didn't kill him.

- For now.

- What the heck does that mean you smartass?

- Don't worry about it.

- Then, what now?

- Just do whatever. You are free to do as you like.

- I see. Then I'm off.

He flies off through the hole.

- Now to fix the wall again. I just hope it wont become something that I always have to do when Relse is around.

Unfortunately for Lex, this occurance would always happen when Relse would enter or leave. What amazes me is that it's not even a thin wall, it's a really thick one.

I ask later for Lex to send me to the swamps of Rostarus.

- Can you send me to the swamp of Rostarus?

- Sure, but why?

- I plan to make my soul appear as if it is Fafnir's soul. To do that, I first must get part of his soul, which is in Stoor's stomach.

- How do you think you can do that?

- It's just a feeling I have. A feeling that I can just do it. It's hard to explain.

- I believe you, but why do you need appear as Fafnir in the first place?

- I want to get to his treasure.

- And you think that you can survive his labyrint?

- I sure can try.

- There is no excape once you enter you know.

- I figured as much.

- You are either incredibly brave or extremely stupid. I feel bad for the people who will be waiting for you. And I'm worried what Relse will do once he figures out that you might end up dead in near future.

- Hey, are you saying you wont be waiting for me?

- I don't care much if you live or die. I just worry what Relse might do.

- So indirectly you do care.

- In a manner of speaking. Now, do you want to go now?

- Yes pleace.

- Then.

He then does his thing and I'm send to a pretty humid place. I'm standing on top of a hill that is top of the trees and I can see swamp as far as I my vision allows. But it is strange, I don't see anything that looks like a dragon, or in this case it would look like a giant serpent but he is still a dragon.

- Wait... don't tell me that I'm standing on... I need to check.

I put my hands to the ground and try to sense if there is something living underneath.

- I see, so you are indeed one of the Swamp now. Now then, how do I go on with this?

How does Stoor's soul eating exactly work? Does it become part of him or does he use it for power. It can't be for sustenance, since dragon lords don't need to eat. I mean, they don't need to sleep either, but here he is, sleeping. I guess I should just meditate and try to commune with souls that are here or something.

I sit down and I start meditating. It takes a while, but I definetly can feel something. I see it now, a giant glowing blue wyrm in the darkness. Do I see anything else? I see... a number of things attached to this wyrm with a cord. Those things start to increase in number. Some bigger, some small. I try to search anything that looks like a dragon. I see many like them, but none compare to the power of Stoor himself. The dragon lords were created equal to each other as far as I understand it. I found one maching Stoor's power, but it didn't seem whole. Just like how Fafnir soul was partly able to pass on. But I felt that it was not him. As I recal, Bahamut was also eaten by Stoor, as well as part of Kur. It must be one of them. I must search deeper.

Then I saw it. A soul of a dragon lord that was drenched in hatred and greed. This must be it. The pressure I felt was making me feel ill, but I must continue. Now let's get near the soul. Yes, this is it. Try to take a part of the soul and... hhm... it's harder than I thought. Let's consentrate more. Immagine becoming something like it. Become drenched in it's power. I can feel it, but I must be carefull to not let it corrupt me. Little by little. And... got it. It took a while, but I can now mimic Fafnir's soul. Or rather, take his aspect. I start to hear a voice in my head that was full of hate.

- Unforgivable. ... How dare he lock me in to this place. I will show you, for my name is Fafnir and I will have my revenge. I see you Bahamut, you are here too. You wont escape my wrath either. I will have my way. Just you wait. I will end you all and get what I want.

It gave me an unsettling feeling. I hope I wont become part of his targets. Who am I kidding, I'm about to steal his treasure. If he ever finds that out, he will surely target me.

- Don't you dare do what you are planning rat. I see you too. Harboring the sweet taste of my treasure. You want it too, you filthy rat. Don't think that my labyrint will be fooled. None shall escape it's grasp. And don't think you can escape my influense either. Now that you are drenched in my will, I will make sure you will do as I command. I will make you my new vessel. Just you wait.

I feel more unease right now. I hope they are just empty threats. Now to the labyrinth. I call Lex and tell him that it was a success. Now I only need to get to my treasure. Wait, my treasure? Sure, soon it will be mine when I get there, but not yet. With this in mind, I head to the labyrint.

It is cold and I can see a giant bridge going upwards to a gate that is on the mountain. The bridge seems to be heated, so that the snow doesn't cover it. I walk away and open the gate. It is a giant gate and it requires a lot of strenght to open. With some effort, I get it open and go inside. Once I'm inside, the gate closes and the lights light up. I see a giant hall with a giant maze. I try to cheat and go up the stone walls, but there seems to be some sort of forcefield blocking me. I just have to go the normal way.

Couple of hours in, I am still here. I'm not sure if I made any progress, but I try to keep up.

Many more hours later, I'm getting exhausted. It's not as if the walking is making me tired, but something else is. I have also seen many markings on the walls, telling me "there is no excape", "it will consume us all" and "everyone else has already perished." It's getting quite depressing.

I continue on. I brought some supplies to me, but I'm running low. Guess it's time to give up for now and get out of here. I try to call Lex, but there is no response. I start to grow worried. Is there truly no way out? I must continue.

...

It's been... I don't know how long. I'm getting overly tired and I can't move as fast as I want. I'm starting to lose hope. Is there a solution at all? Then it hits me. Why don't I use Fafnir's aspect to figure this out? Why didn't I think of this sooner? I proseed and I get some information on my head. Apparently there is no exit from this place. The maze is constantly changing and moving to confuse even the brightest of minds. The barrier that blocked me when I tried to jump up the wall was there to also deter any other dragon lords from entering. Apparently the only way past the maze is to be Fafnir. What a joke. It also appears that the maze "eats" anyone who enters. It takes some time to do so, but it is slowly taking your lifeforce. That's why I don't see any corpses around.

I decide to use the aspect of Fafnir to exit this maze. I jump on top of the wall and the barrier doesn't activate. I jump around and I get to the exit of the maze. I push further to the dungeon.

What I see next is, what I can only describe as, a giant underground city. The city looks really old and it looks majestic. I dig deeper with the aspect of Fafnir and I find out that this is an old dwarven city called Urkhumdamter. It was captured by Fafnir long ago. It also told me that in those times, only giants, elves and dwarfs existed in this continent. Elfs in the south and dwarfs and giants in the north. This city was build over 30 000 years ago and it was still standing. Well, in my grasp at least.

I move on and I figure out that the next step is to go to the main hall of this city. It took a while of walking, but I finally got there. I'm getting hungry, so I try to use my subspace to get some emergency rations. It worked this time and I was relieved. Fafnir apparently changed forms many times to capture his treasures. Mostly to small demon or demonlike dwarf. l He did so also when walking through these halls.

When I got past the city and walk a stairway downwards. It has sealing going so far up that a dragon could fit through it. Once I was at the bottom of the stairway, I was greeted by an stone door that was slightly open. I couldn't fit through the door, but I could see that past this door, there was the treasure. I pulled all my strength to open the door. It was so heavy, I'm left to wonder, who would build this kind of door and leave it partly open? I somehow managed to get the door open enough so that I could squeeze through.

Now there I was, standing in a giant hall filled to the brim with gold coins and other treasures as far as the eye can see. the floor seemed to go far down, since I noticed some stairs going downwards but end in the gold. As I walked around, I noticed that some of the treasures were hold in the pedestal when others were laying on the ground. The I start to hear whispers.

- Go there.

- Use the sword of creation.

- And bring forth my new body.

- I command you.

For some reason, I was compelled to listen to those orders and I went to find the sword of creation. I was somehow guided to it's location and I finally tounched it. I can finally build my new body.

- Good.

- Now build the form we were always using.

- And do not make a mistake.

I did it as the voice asked as it was my voice I heard. A clear picture was in my mind. A dragon who is as darker than the night sky, blood red eyes with a green pupil four wings that each had two finger like metal spikes coming from the tips and a long tail that was covered in jewerly and a blade at the end of the it. Aah, a magnificent form.

Then the body started to shine for a moment. Like something was entering it. Then it started to speak in a sinister, serpent like voice. It had a bit of a echo at the start, but faded over time.

- Aah, yes! Finally! A body that I have been yearning for, for so long. Aah, Now then...

The echo stoped.

- You there, rat, dare to come to my lair and expect to get my treasure with no consequence. I am left to wonder if my defences were too weak, but then I remember that only I could possibly enter this place. And even if you managed to past the maze, the city should have made you leave with it's ghosts haunting you. That only leaves me to the understanding that you bare a form of my soul. Or at least a copy of it. I'm thankfull for your contribution on helping me.

- Why... why did I help you?

- It must be part of my will that came with you copying a form of my soul. It had the same idea as I had. To create a body that can house the soul that is still roaming free. I commend you for your actions and give you the honor of taking one of my treasures. But only one.

What should I do? The dragon lord Fafnir has returned. Even though part of his soul still remains in Stoor, he still give me an amazingly powerfull aura of power. So this is what a dragon lord is like. I feel like I wont win a battle against him, so I better take my chances and take his offer.

- I'm free to pick whatever I want?

- Only limit is the sword of creation. If you dare take that, I will crush you like the rat you are.

Then what to take. The swords of souls and time are the main contenders. But which to take? Sword of souls would have it's uses, but it's barely usable in battle. Sword of time on the other hand would bring me many abilities. But there is a staff of destruction. While usefull, it might make Relse feel something, so I pass on it. I'm not even a staff user. Let's go with the sword of time.

I pick the sword and I start to leave.

- So you have picked that. A good choice. But if I ever find it inconvinient for me, I shall take it back. Know that I wont give out anything so easily.

- I kind of figured that's the case. What will you do now?

- Do you wish to be demoted to a worm you rat. A rat can still leave this place, but a worm will only be left to make the soil fertail. Do you understand?

- I think I got it. Sorry for asking.

- For now, you are forgiven. Now I must regain my power so that I can have my vengence against Bahamut and Stoor.

You ended up telling me anyways.

- Just so you know, Bahamut was eaten by Stoor.

- Is that so. So brother has gotten stronger then. And with my soul there as well... It will truly take time for my vengence. You have helped me rat, you may tell me your name so that I might bother to remember it.

- Nor. My name is Nor.

- Such a dull name. But a name nonetheless. Now go rat, before my patience grows thin.

- Got it.

I open a gateway to the front of the dungeon. When I'm back on surface again, I call up Lex, who then teleports me to his tower.

- So you got away with that sword. I suppose that I ought to congratulate you. Why didn't you take any more?

- The owner only allowed me to go with one.

- The owner you say. ... As I feared.

- You thought that this might happen?

- I had a feeling that the use of Fafnir's soul might make you take up his will and end up doing something to help his goals. It matters not. Now we just must be carefull to not hord any valuables in one place and we should be fine.

- You aren't going to do anything about it?

- Why should I? The world went on even when Fafnir was out there hunting some treasures.

- But it might cause trouble.

- Then it will. As long as he doesn't bother me, I will let him do as he likes.

- You really don't care, do you?

- As I said, as long as he doesn't make a mess of my territory, then we are fine. If you are worried, go tell Relse about this. He might do something. Or maybe not since he created Fafnir to be that way.

- I can't believe you three.

- We aren't mercifull gods that protect their people. We are just some people who do as we like.

- I leave you with that.

- I send you to your base.

- Thanks.

Then I'm back in Lech't A Sol. I eat and go to sleep while thinking what a mess I have made.

Just a fun note, the machine Lex was going to mention was a computer.

And yes, there were something like dinosaurs in this world, but not dinosaurs dinosaurs.

I made this story as I was going, so I hope it turned out interesting. Well, at least the Fafnir's treasure part.

In case I didn't make it clear, the Fafnir that we see in the treasury isn't a fully powered Fafnir. Just a portion of his power. This is, if you haven't figured it out, because Fafnir's soul exists mostly in Stoor.

And just a fun fact, Fafnir's rating system from lowest to highest is: amoeba, worm, cockroach, rat, dog, wyrm, sibling, me, god and voidborn. Getting up from one is very hard. Many of the living things in this world are worms. Those who have absolutely no vallue in his eyes are amoeba. Cockroaches are those who are harder to kill than worms. Wyrms are obviously other ordinary dragons, at least the when he first meets them. Siblings are siblings, then himself and finally voidborn, meaning Magic, Destruction and Creation. Since he didn't know that Nor had Soul, he was only rated as rat. Same goes before he meets Lex, Relse and Aktor. This system will be given a bit more perspective in future chapter.
