Chapter 124: Huddled Undergrowth

"I, who was slow and with shell of bony dermal plate covered in horny shield. My head limbs and tails usually got withdrawn. My trunk were enclosed of terrestrial fresh waters. I am someone who carry's my house around. I walk, eat and sleep with it. I can live both with land and oceans. I am what they call as turtle. I wondered away from my mother land as soon as my egg hatched. I got myself captured and was put on for a show. I struggled to eat commercial foods and played with unmoving things. I got thrown after once my owner had his fortune. I, again journeyed with my home watching the scenery shifted and the trees lose it leaves, fruits and branches. I stayed with it since the stamp and roots were uncut. Until one day a deviner removed my house and transformed me into a little boy. That person gave me the name Terkel."

Urchin's eyes released and casted the vision. Terkel made a ray of poison and shoot it toward Urchin. Urchin paused the time and run toward Terkel's frozen form. Urchin embraced the young boy and shut his eyes.

"Plwease bwe freew frwom what isw seawling youw."

Urchin's words shattered the spell upon Terkel. Terkel can finally got his home back. Terkel became a palm size turtle with scarlet and blended white shell. Urchin held him as he marched with the people who just regained their life.

Novena heared that the Tale Bearers successfully accomplished their assignment. She's been feeling uneasy the whole time. Her instinct has been enticing her nervous system. Novena felt like something is brewing from behind her back. Her temple are producing a chilly sweat that distracted her all day.

Lehi felt a sudden jolt upon her wrist. Her oil based bracelet catalyze a clashing contriction from the oil based ornament. Lehi suddenly felt a foreign electricity that traversed unto her whole body. Lehi suddenly screamed and curled on the ground. Her yelp alarmed the team. Her facial context begun to pale. Her knees have knocked together and her feet has given away. The last things she remembered was the unwitting fright birthed from the jolt she felt.

Ophir felt awful watching Lehi tossed in pain. And he felt worst that he can't find out the root of her grief. Her body started to pale from her usual posture. Inside the carraige Hexel applied some checking, evaluating and first aid. All that Hexel performed was in vain, nothing was able to relieve Lehi's situation. Ain was about to cut the dimensions to get the shortcut toward the Palace but his neck suddenly got grappled by Lehi.

Ain felt like his neck will break at the strength Lehi was implying. Ain started to cough. Ophir was hugging Lehi from the back and it was too hard for him to steady her. Hexel tried to kick Lehi's leg and muttered a sorry but Hexel's force was ineffective. Ain had his eyes tearing up from Lehi's nail sinking unto his neck.

Urchin paused the time and Lehi was unaffected. She glared at Urchin and he instatly resumed the time. Nevi was glad his armour did not wear off. Nevi grasp Lehi's wrist and forced her to release Ain.

Ain felt like all the entrapped oxygen within his lungs started to burst out unto his nostril and mouth. Hexel aided Ain from the bleeding caused by Lehi's nail. Nevi tried to knock Lehi out but she suddenly kicked him out of the carriage. Nevi broke the carriage door and got thrown on the ground while the wheel keeps turning. Lehi jump out of the carraige with her previous armour and used her heel to step on Nevi but he was able to use his fist. Lehi release an invisible blade that wounded Nevi. She started to multiply the blades and Nevi run, hide and blocked all of her attacks.

Kiel commanded Urchin to stay with Hexel and Ain if something happens. Kiel and Ophir leaped out of the ride and went to aid Nevi. Kiel summoned his cane. He used it to have the wind overpower Lehi but with a single slice from her comb it halted Kiel's nature order.

Ophir summoned his bones and started to fight against Lehi who easily blocked all of his strike. Nevi came to back him up by kicking Lehi's back. Lehi got pushed forward and Kiel took the opportunity to thrust his cane toward her chest. Their goal is to knock Lehi out.

Lehi used her comb and it shielded her body. She copied Keil's attempt and had Kiel receive the damage. Kiel spit some blood from Lehi's comb. She is a reliable team mate but a major pain when she is a foe.

Ophir can't watch any longer. Surely Lehi will hate to hear how she hurted her friends. Ophir touched the stone in between his eyes. The amber light engulfed the whole area. Ophir bestowed liberty toward his wife.

"I command you to get out of her. May this order shake the core of those who desired evilness."

Lehi suddenly fell unconscious. Nevi caught her in time and they got back at the broken carraige. The team rode back to the Palace. Ophir informed Novena about what happened and was confused because according to her, she did not recieve any notes from Lehi. Novena immediately turned unto fireflies and instructed Nevi and Ophir to never leave Lehi's side. Novena's hunch have come unfold.

Novena get back to the village and walked though the recovering area. She commanded her fireflies to take a flight. She badly needs the gist of what occurred today. Her pace resumed toward the place where the battle against Lehi occured. She decided to slowly advanced within the crowded town leading to the palace. A hoarsed voice sounded to her ears. "Hsssh." Novena rounded the whole area and found none.

A lone form sat on the highest branch. It's shadow got highlighted by the distant light shinning from the El Oathniel Palace. It unfold Lehi's note and it tittered to hear that this unexpected Harpsichord team's care taker is Novena. The form inhaled the oil from Lehi's note and it wickedly grinned.
